Iskcon Chitwan This is the Official Page of ISKCON Chitwan
Founder Acharya: HDG A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (Srila Prabhupada).

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) was established in 1966 by His Divine Grace A.C. ISKCON has since developed into a worldwide confederation of 15,000 temple devotees and 300,000 congregational devotees. Better known as the Hare Krishna movement, ISKCON is comprised of more than 450 centres, 60 rural communities, 70 schools and 100 restaurants worldwide. The mission of this nonsectarian, monotheistic movement is to promote the well being of society by teaching the science of Krishna consciousness according to Bhagavad-gita and other ancient scriptures. People worldwide are given the opportunity to pursue spiritual life according to their abilities and can pursue Krishna conscious culture within their own culture and in their own language. ISKCON centres cover a wide range of activities from temple worship to preaching, book distribution, farming, free food distribution, restaurants, education, and more. There is plenty of scope in the types of activities that can be offered as service to Krishna, God.
