Buddha Jayanti 2570 at Nala Gumba 🏠

On this sacred full moon day of Buddha Purnima, we honor the birth, enlightenment, and Mahaparinirvana (passing away) of Gautam Buddha.

In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, these profound events are also commemorated during Saga Dawa, especially on the full moon of the fourth lunar month.

The 2570th Buddha Jayanti is being observed across Nepal with prayers and offerings at monasteries and sacred places like Lumbini.

Here at Nala Gumba, monks and devotees celebrated this special day by bathing the Buddha statue—symbolizing purification, devotion, and gratitude.

This day reminds us of the Buddha’s timeless teachings on peace, compassion, and non-violence—guiding us toward a life of wisdom, kindness, and harmony.

MAA ARYA TARA Community Practice

The Maa Arya Tara Group, a devoted community of more than 400 members, is dedicated to learning and practicing the Dharma together.

Every Thursday, members gather at Manang Samaj Gumba to perform the sacred Morning Dolma (Arya Tara) Prayers, under the guidance of Khenpo Lekshey Gyatso. These regular practices help deepen faith, discipline, and understanding of Buddhism.

With the aspiration to continue daily puja at the Gumba, the community works to cultivate compassion, wisdom, and inner peace for the benefit of all beings.

This practice is also sincerely dedicated to the swift rebirth of their revered master, Venerable Maniwa Lama Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche, with deep gratitude and devotion.

May all be auspiciously blessed

The grand stupa project’s Sung and Sokshing Preparation (Stupa Ritual Work)

Sung (Mantra Rolls)
“Sung” refers to sacred mantras written, printed, or rolled into scrolls. These are placed inside statues or stupas to fill them with blessings and enlightened energy.
• Mantras are carefully written with devotion
• Rolled neatly and tied in a traditional way
• Represents the speech of enlightened beings

Sokshing (Life Tree)
“Sokshing” is the central wooden pillar placed inside a stupa or statue. It is considered the “life force” of the structure.
• Made from a clean, living tree (chosen carefully)
• Covered with mantras, prayers, and sacred syllables
• Installed in the center as the spiritual heart

Meaning & Importance

Together, Sung and Sokshing:
• Bring life and sacred energy to the stupa
• Represent Body, Speech, and Mind of Buddha
• Create a powerful field of blessing for all beings

May all be auspicious

Grand Lhabab Stupa Project – Nala Gumba Update

The sacred work has officially begun. All the monks are deeply engaged in preparing the zung (sacred mantras and relic substances) for the stupa. With great devotion and concentration, mantras are being carefully written on the སྲོག་ཤིང (Sokshing)—the life-tree that forms the spiritual heart of the stupa.

In addition, the living tree has been inscribed with sacred mantras by our respected Umdze Urgen la (དབུ་མཛད), preserving the lineage blessings and imbuing the structure with profound spiritual energy.

This is not just construction—it is a deeply meaningful accumulation of merit and prayers for the benefit of all sentient beings.

On this sacred 10th day of the Tibetan lunar calendar, the profound practice of Red Chenresig (Gyalwa Gyatso) was performed at Nala Gumba.

With deep compassion, this practice is dedicated to all sentient beings—both living and deceased. May it bring relief from suffering, purification of obstacles, and the accumulation of merit and wisdom for all.

We especially offer these prayers for the swift and precious rebirth of our precious Lama Rinpoche, so that his enlightened activity may continue to benefit countless beings.

May compassion arise in all hearts. 🙏
