Today, we gathered to remove and clean the old Lungta (prayer flags), an important Buddhist tradition carried out with respect and devotion.

Over time, old prayer flags can become worn, torn, and scattered by the wind. When they fall to the ground, people who are unaware may accidentally step on them, which can be disrespectful to the sacred symbols and also create unnecessary waste in the environment.

By carefully removing and cleaning the old Lungta, we help preserve their spiritual meaning while also keeping our surroundings clean and protecting nature. This simple act reminds us that Buddhist practice is not only about prayer—it is also about compassion, mindfulness, respect, and responsibility toward the environment.

May the blessings and aspirations carried by the Lungta continue to benefit all beings, and may our efforts contribute to a cleaner, more peaceful, and harmonious environment.

🙏❤️ RASUWA FLOOD RELIEF 2026 — COMPASSION IN ACTION❤️🙏

When suffering called, we came together.
When people lost their homes and hope, we carried compassion to their doorsteps.

Under the compassionate inspiration and guidance of the devotees of our late beloved Maniwa Lama Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche, the (Manang Community), Manang Social Service Committee, Nyesyang Manang Women Society, Dhagpo Sheydrub Ling Foundation, and Hasantar Nunnery united as one family to support our brother and sisters affected by the devastating floods and landslides in Rasuwa.

Through the generosity of the Manang community, more than NPR 70 lakh (7 million) was raised for relief efforts. NPR 40 lakh was contributed to the Home Minister’s Relief Fund, including NPR 35 lakh from the Manang Social Service Committee and NPR 5 lakh from the Nyeshang Manang Women’s Society and 1 lakh 70 thousand from the young monks of Nala Gumba. But beyond the numbers, there were hearts filled with compassion.

Our team travelled for two days through Trishuli, Nuwakot, Naukunde, Charpyang, Kalikasthan, Betrawoti, and Dhunche. The roads were broken, the journey was difficult, and the conditions were challenging—but compassion does not turn back when the road becomes difficult.
We carried essential supplies in 8 vehicles as far as Dhunche and personally handed them to families affected by the disaster.

May the immense merit accumulated through this virtuous undertaking become a cause for the swift and auspicious rebirth of our precious Maniwa Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche.

May the blessings of the Three Jewels embrace all those affected by this tragedy.
May those who lost their lives be peacefully guided through the bardo and find a fortunate rebirth. May the injured recover swiftly.
May the displaced find shelter and security.
May every family find strength, healing, and hope. And may this merit become a cause for peace and happiness for all sentient beings.

One heart. One community. One compassionate purpose. Together, we may not be able to erase the pain, but together we can bring light into someone’s darkest moment.

🙏 Karling Sh*tro Puja & Heartfelt Aspiration Prayers for Nepal 🕯️🇳🇵

Following the devastating floods that struck the Rasuwa region along the Nepal–Tibet border, countless beings have experienced immense suffering. Precious lives were lost, families were displaced, and many were left without homes.

In remembrance and tribute to all those who lost their lives, and with great compassion and love for everyone affected by this tragedy, the Nala Gumba family gathered with one heart to offer Karling Sh*tro Puja, heartfelt aspiration prayers, and thousands of butter lamps for the deceased and for all those affected.

With prayers dedicated to the victims and the people of Nepal, our generous sponsor, Mrs. Katherine Cheng and her family, compassionately offered lunch and supported this profound Sh*tro Puja and the offering of thousands of butter lamps.

🙏 May the merit accumulated through this aspiration prayer, Sh*tro Puja, and sacred offerings be dedicated to all sentient beings affected by this disaster.

With profound devotion and heartfelt prayers, we are pleased to announce the 8 pairs of Annual Nyungne Puja, to be held from 17 October to 2 November 2026 at Mani Lakhang, Manang Gonpa, Swayambhu.

Following the compassionate guidance and heartfelt wishes of our late Lama Rinpoche (Maniwa Lama Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche), we will continue the sacred tradition of the eight pairs of Nyungne practice, a profound path of purification, devotion, and the cultivation of boundless compassion.

This year, the sacred practice of the eight pairs of Nyungne will be led by the most venerable Lodreu Rabsel Rimpoche .

Nyungne is a precious opportunity to purify negative karma and obscurations, strengthen our devotion, and open our hearts to the suffering of all sentient beings. May every prayer, mantra, prostration, and moment of practice become a cause for liberation and awakening.

Compassion in Action, The spirit of Bodhichitta.

It is deeply touching to see our children turn the teachings of compassion and generosity into action.
With pure hearts, they have offered their little savings—carefully collected over a long time—to support families affected by the devastating floods. Though each contribution may be small, the love and compassion behind it are immeasurable. Together, they have raised **over NPR 170,000 ( One Lakh seventy thousand). 🙏❤️

This is the true spirit of bodhicitta, giving not because we have much, but because we care.

May the merit of their generosity bring relief to those suffering, hope to those in despair, and blessings to all beings.
May our small acts of kindness become great causes for the happiness of all sentient beings.

The Sacred Conclusion of the 1st Maha Parinirvana Anniversary

It has already been one year. Time truly flies by.

The sacred seven-day Maha Parinirvana Commemoration Ceremony marking the First Anniversary of the late Khaybje Maniwa Lama Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche has now come to a blessed and auspicious conclusion.

The sacred ceremony was graciously concluded with a Tsok offering and Empowerment Wang, bestowed for the devotees and participants, followed by auspicious prayers and dedications.

Under the guidance and presence of H.E. the 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, Ven. Drubseng Rinpoche, Ven. Sabchu Rinpoche, and other venerable masters, this profound seven-day commemoration was completed with devotion and dedication.

Throughout these seven sacred days, all the monks and nuns engaged in the Chakrasamvara (Demchog) Drubchen and related sacred practices. At the same time, devotees and practitioners participated in the Mani accumulation puja, led by Ven. Sangha Rinpoche and Lodroe Rabsal Rinpoche.

All the prayers, practices, offerings, and accumulated merit of this sacred occasion are especially dedicated in remembrance of our precious Lama Rinpoche, praying for his swift and auspicious rebirth and for the continuation of his Dharma activities for the benefit of all sentient beings.

Today marks the successful completion of the 1st Terminal Examination at Nala Gumba (Dhagpo Sheydrub Ling Monastery).

After days of sincere study, preparation, and dedication, our young monks have completed their exams with perseverance and discipline. Their efforts reflect not only academic learning but also the values of patience, mindfulness, and commitment cultivated through Buddhist education.

We sincerely hope that every student has done their very best and will achieve excellent results. May this be another meaningful step on their journey of learning, wisdom, and personal growth.

1st Terminal Exam 2026 Begins at Nala Gumba

Today marks the beginning of the 1st Terminal Exam 2026 at Nala Gumba. Our students will be taking seven subjects, with two subjects each day over the next four days.

These exams are an opportunity for every student to stay focused on reading, practicing, and learning while testing the knowledge they have gained. Each subject carries 20 marks, and the pass mark is 8.

An exam is not just about getting marks—it’s a chance to grow, improve, and discover how much you have learned. Every step forward brings new knowledge and confidence.

We wish all our students the very best of luck. May you stay calm, do your best, and achieve excellent results.
