Today’s sermon reminded us of the joy of salvation found in Christ. True and lasting joy does not come from circumstances, achievements, or temporary pleasures, but from knowing that we have been saved by the grace of Jesus. This joy is deep, unshakable, and available every day to those who trust in Him. It fills our hearts with gratitude, peace, and strength even in difficult times.
“Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”
Psalm 51:12 (NIV)

Today’s sermon reminded us about tests and examinations. In life, God often allows seasons of testing — not to destroy us, but to refine our faith, strengthen our character, and reveal what is truly in our hearts. Just as examinations prove what we have learned, spiritual tests prove and purify our trust in God. When we face trials with faith and perseverance, we grow stronger and more mature in Christ.
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”
James 1:12 (NIV)

Today’s sermon reminded us to seek God first. In a world full of distractions, worries, and competing priorities, God calls us to put Him above everything else — above our plans, needs, desires, and even our problems. When we seek His kingdom and righteousness first, He promises to take care of the rest and guide our steps according to His perfect will.
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Let us make seeking God our highest priority this week — through prayer, His Word, and daily surrender — trusting that He will supply everything we need. Our church service starts at 10:30.

Today’s sermon reminded us to work hard to be a successful person. God values diligence, responsibility, and excellence in all we do. Success is not just about talent or luck — it comes through consistent effort, perseverance, and doing our work as unto the Lord. While we trust God for the outcome, He calls us to give our best, avoid laziness, and steward the opportunities and gifts He has given us faithfully.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

Today’s sermon reminded us to be doers of God’s Word and not only hearers. It is easy to listen to sermons, read the Bible, and gain knowledge, but true blessing comes when we put what we hear into practice. Hearing without doing leads to self-deception, while obedient action brings transformation, growth, and the reward of God’s approval.
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
James 1:22 (NIV)
We also had a blessed abroad fellowship at 7:00pm, connecting with brothers and sisters from afar as we worshiped, shared, and encouraged one another in the Lord.
Let us commit this week to not just hearing God’s Word but actively living it out — in our thoughts, words, and actions. Obedience is the true measure of our faith. Our church service starts at 10:30.
