Holland Methodist Church Holland Methodist Circuit, the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA), Leeward Islands District Names from Methodist people in Curacao, St.

The vision to start a Methodist Church in Holland was raised simply as an idea by Sis. Valerie Connor of the Aruba Circuit, Leeward Islands District. This was during a Bible and Prayer session in the mid-eighties. The idea was taken seriously and discussed at the Aruba Circuit Quarterly Meeting, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Winston Worrell the Superintendent Minister of the Aruba Circuit. With

out hesitation, members began to submit names of family, relatives and acquaintances in Holland. Maarten and St. Eustatius were also received. All with the hope that these persons could have been contacted to help begin Methodist work in Holland. Having secured the available necessary requirements for such a mission, the Aruba Circuit submitted a detailed proposal including a financial budget to the Annual Synod of the Leeward Islands District of the Methodist Church for a feasibility study to begin a Methodist English-speaking Church in Holland.
