The city of Wageningen is particularly known for its university and young international population. Did you know that Wageningen has the most nationalities per square m

ile in the world? You will meet many of them at the campus and in the cafes. Maybe you were used to regularly visit a parish back home, or maybe you are just curious and would like to come by some time? Many of our members have lived in the Netherlands for a long time already. Some stay for just a couple of years. Then there are others who stick around for a few months during their study. Dear friends,

Sad news for us, Happy news for the St Francis Parish in Apeldoorn-Twello:
Fr Henri, founding father and driving force of our ICC will be leaving us: cardinal Eijk has appealed him to accept a new appointment in Apeldoorn-Twello, about 45 km from Wageningen. As of January 1, he will be the parish priest of the St Francis parish.
Sad news for us, since we have to say goodbye, and so at the same time, happy news for the parish of Saint Francis, because they can enjoy the presence of our energetic, inspiring missionary and shepherd.

It is not yet known who will be his successor; however, we hope he can count on the hospitality we learned from Fr Henri and from each other.

Let us congratulate Fr Henri with his new appointment.
Let us pray that that his move will go well and that his new parish will bring him even more joy than ours! ;o)
In the meantime, let us enjoy his presence while he is still in Wageningen !

For your agenda (don't forget!):
On Sunday January 8 there will be a special celebration to say goodbye to Fr Henri.

This Saturday, June 18, Erik Rozeman will be ordained a priest in Utrecht.
Onset 10:30 AM, Address: St Catharinakathedraal, Lange Nieuwstraat 36, Utrecht
You are all welcome!
If don't have transport, you can take the bus arranged by the parish. You can register before Tuesday via [email protected]
Will you please include Erik in your prayers the coming week?

On Sunday June 26, Father Erik will celebrate his first Mass in Wageningen.
One Mass for all, so NO international Mass at 13:00 on that day, but a party !

MAY 15: INFORMAL MEETING BETWEEN DUTCH AND INTERNATIONAL YOUNG PEOPLE

Yes, of course you want to inspire each other to think for possible activities for the young people of this parish, don't you?
And perhaps you also want to share with others what Catholic Faith means for you?

On May 15, after the special international Young People Mass, you will get the opportunity to do this in an informal meeting between the International Students and the Dutch young people.

During this meeting you will be invited to share in groups your thoughts about the two questions:
• What does Catholic Faith mean for you ?
• Do you have concrete suggestions / ideas for activities for this parish, especially related to students ?
Your suggestions will be most welcome for the pastoral team!

SPECIAL INTERNATIONAL YOUNG PEOPLE MASS
NEXT SUNDAY, May 15, 13:00 hr.

The international Mass of next Sunday will be a special Mass, a young people Mass!
The music will be provided by the Dutch young people choir from Ede, the International choir AND the African choir!
On the picture below, you can see all members of the choir from Ede.
Difficult to recognize someone ?
We did this on purpose, in order to stimulate you to
come to Mass and see, hear and meet them and their friends in real life !

After Mass, there will be an informal meeting, see next message.

Be welcome to Pray the Way of the Cross in one of the churches of our Parish, Today at 15:00 PM.
In the Catholic church of Bennekom, Ede, Oosterbeek, Renkum, Veenendaal or Wageningen.

If you are unable to attend, you can virtually pray with the help a video made in the Sint-Bernulphuskerk in Oosterbeek, while Fr Henri movingly prays the Stations of the Cross.
