Zen River Temple is an international Buddhist monastery, offering a year-round training program.

On the Weekend of June 26-29 Zen River hosted the White Plum Meeting. Forty three teachers from USA, Europe and UK met together, and a large team of Zen River members made sure everything went as smoothly as possible.

Participants of the June Gyoji Week with the residents. A very inspiring week for everyone. Oryoki, zazen, samu practice - just following our ordinary daily schedule - with a few extra instructions to get the hang of everything!

At the conclusion of the Falling Flowers Sesshin, Artemii Futai 普泰 (Universal Peace) Kolbasin received Jukai from Tenkei Roshi. Futai, who left Ukraine and moved to Zen River from Ireland, is now a full time resident here. Congratulations!

The machine room in the basement is taking shape. By the end of the week it should be up and running! It's quite a maze of pipes down there.

The grass is growing back - and the lawnmower is repaired. Soon it will look as if nothing had ever happened.

The Heat Pump for the geothermal system arrived today! Very, very heavy... 350 kg... Thijs Shinýu had to come to the rescue to help keep it on the trolley over the wobbly driveway!

Traces of the digging are disappearing. New top soil, and Kangen is sowing grass seeds. Now some rain and sunshine would help the lawn recuperate quickly!

Happy to report that the Geothermal system is in place! All there is left to do is level and sow the lawn and have the new heating system in the basement installed, which happens later this month.

On the last day of sesshin, Tenkei Roshi gave Jukai to Matthijs 歓心 Kanshin - Rejoicing Heart Verwulgen and Frank 道然 Donen - Natural Way van den Barselaar. Congratulations!
