Blessed Maria Teresa of St. Joseph This is the page dedicated to promote the cause of canonization of Blessed Mother Maria Teresa of St. Joseph Blessed Maria Teresa of St. Bishop W.

Joseph
Foundress of the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus

Blessed Maria Teresa of St. Joseph -- Anna Maria Tauscher -- was born on June , 19, 1855 in Sandow, Germany, which is now in Poland. She came from a deeply

religious Protestant pastor's family. God guided this richly talented and capable woman on steep and stony roads to the Catholic faith. On October 30, 1888 she was receiv

ed into the Catholic Church. From then on she herself became poor for the sake of the poor, homeless for the sake of the homeless. She placed her life in the service of God. In order to realize this goal, she founded a religious Congregation, the Carmel of the Divine Heart of Jesus on July , 1, 1891. Mother Maria Teresa took for a model St. Teresa of Jesus, the great Spanish Mystic and Reformer of the Order of Carmel. Mother Maria Teresa took the Carmelite spirit of prayer and coupled it with apostolic service. Her concern was aimed especially at poor and neglected children, above all those who had no home. Her loving dedication was further directed to families and individuals who had left the Church, to the lonely, the aged, to immigrants and transient workers--simply all who were homeless in any way. So it was that contemplative prayer coupled with active charity became the distinguishing mark of the Carmel of the Divine Heart of Jesus. After a long life of dedicated service, Mother Maria Teresa died at the age of 83 on September , 8 at the Mother House of the Carmel DCJ, in Sittard, Holland. Lemmens opened her beatification process in Sittard on February ,2, 1953. On December20,2002 Pope John Paul II declared Mother Mary Teresa of St. Joseph venerable. In December 2005, Pope Benedict XVI approved the miracle necessary for her beatification. Mother Maria Teresa was beatified on May 13, 2006 in Roermond, Netherlands. Before her death she wrote: "To be able to dry tears, to heal wounds of souls from the heights of heaven, this is my ardent wish." Please communicate all favours to:

20 Years Beatification
On February 2, 1953, the beatification process for our beloved Mother began in Roermond. It took more than 50 years before we were able to experience the great joy of venerating her as Blessed on May 13, 2006.
The diocesan process in Roermond was completed on September 20, 1957, and the files were then taken to Rome, where the process was opened on November 20, 1957. In 1983, the new canon law reorganized the procedures for beatification and canonization, which meant further delays. When everything was ready, we still had to wait for a miracle. During his retreat in Sittard, Father Bonifatius ocd noticed a participant who often did not attend the conferences because she had severe pain in her feet. He recommended that she and her husband pray a novena to the Blessed Mother. After one novena, she was not yet healed. But they had trust and continued with a second and third novena, and then, on the sixth day of the third novena, the pain stopped and the fungus disappeared from her feet. That was on December 16, 1996. This was the miracle that brought her to the beatification on May 13, 2006. Now we pray for another miracle for her canonization.
Blessed Maria Teresa of St. Joseph, pray for us!

Happy feastday of Blessed Maria Teresa of saint Joseph! This morning we celebrated holy Mass in our chapel where her relics are onder the altar, she is the patron saint of our chapel here.
May she send many blessings to all of you who have so great love and devotion to her!
In her last months on this earth she said: "In Heaven I can do more" and "let me go to the beautiful Heaven". Now she intercedes for us in our needs and heals the wounds of the souls and dries the tears as she has promised to us.
Blessed Maria Teresa of saint Joseph, pray for us!

Today is the last day of the novena

October 29

Opening Hymn
I Vow to You
(Daily Prayer of Blessed Mother Maria Teresa of St. Joseph)
O Lord, I vow to you poverty, chastity, and obedience;
To devote myself to the salvation of souls;
To complete annihilation of self;
To perfect conformity to Your holy will;
To strive to reach the highest love of God and neighbor.
O Lord through this chain of love
Let me be forever chained to Your Sacred Heart,
And in this life let me be a child of my heavenly Mother.
Amen. Amen.

Opening Prayer
Almighty and merciful God, you imbued Blessed Maria Teresa with outstanding zeal for serving your people through persevering prayer and work; grant that through her intercession, we may work with the same love even amid hardships, and so dedicate ourselves to building up your Church. Through Jesus Christ.
From the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke 10:1-2

At that time the Lord appointed seventy-two others whom he sent ahead of him in pairs to every town and place he intended to visit. He said to them, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.”

Litany (please kneel)
Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, hear us. Christ, graciously hear us.

God, the Father of Heaven, have mercy on us.

Devoted daughter of St. Joseph, Mother of the orphaned,
Mother of the abandoned,
Mother of the poor,
Mother of the lonely,
Mother of the afflicted,
Mother of the dying,
Mother of souls who have strayed from the Heart of Christ,
Mother of souls cruelly torn from His wounded Heart,
That we may be fervent in making reparation to His Sacred Heart,
That we may ever uphold His Divinity,
That we may increase in reverence to His Heart in the most Blessed Sacrament,
That we may teach others to reverence Him by our example of fervent love,
That we may ever console Him for the countless outrages He suffers,
That we may be constant in our love and sacrifices,
That we may console Him by our love for one another,
That we may forgive and love our enemies,
That we may see God in all,
That we may serve God in all,
That we may love God in all,
That we may have the grace of true contrition for our sins,

That we may be faithful to our Holy Mother the Church,
That we may be faithful in carrying out our duties,
That we may be faithful in little things,
That in all things we may seek the Will of God,
That we may ever be faithful to His holy inspirations,
That we may recognize all that He does as good,
That in all circumstances we may praise and glorify God,
That in all circumstances we may trust in the Providence of God,
That in all circumstances we may render thanks to God,
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, spare us, O Lord.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, graciously hear us, O Lord.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.

This is the wise virgin, whom the Lord found waiting;
at His coming, she went in with Him to the wedding feast.

Let us pray:
God our Father, You promised Blessed Mother Maria Teresa of St. Joseph that, if she took upon herself the cross You offered, Your Son would be her everlasting reward. Grant, we beseech You, that we who seek her intercession may experience her motherly care and be strengthened to follow her example, that we may share in her reward in Heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

From the Autobiography of Blessed Mother Maria Teresa
Times had changed but the spirit, the love, and zeal to work for the salvation of souls ever remained the same. It is rejuvenated with every generation without weakening. Zeal does not grow weak, love does not grow cold. God is almighty, and as long as the world exists His creative power will never come to an end!
The spirit of God moves souls in all the hundreds and thousands of years, and where the spirit of God works and is active and moves the souls, all opposition will break down. The Holy Spirit knows how to overthrow all difficulties and obstacles that are mountain high. He, the Holy Spirit Himself, makes the soul courageous and willing to fight joyfully. (p. 141)

Novena Prayer
O God our Father, You purified Blessed Maria Teresa of St. Joseph through suffering and afflictions. Her great faith, her firm trust and unselfish love made her, through Your grace, a pure instrument in Your hand with which You could do great things. Encouraged by her example and her trust in Your help we ask, through her intercession … (Pause and silently call to mind your intentions.) May Your holy Will be done Lord. Make our hearts ready to accept what You send. Then we know that we pray in the spirit of Mother Maria Teresa. This we ask through Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You.
Blessed Mother Maria Teresa of St. Joseph, pray for us.

Closing Hymn
To See God in All
(From the maxims of Blessed Mother Maria Teresa of St. Joseph)
by John Schum
Refrain:
To see God in all, To serve God in all,
To love God in all is joy to me.
To see God in all, To serve God in all,
To love God in all my life shall be!
1. You should come down from the heights of Carmel
to a grief-laden peace-less humanity
like an angel, an angel of peace and comfort.
2. For you there is only one way, the way of self-denial.
Remember, all that God does is good!
Always praise and glorify God.
Every one of you must be a victim of love.
Remember, all that God does is good!

October 28

Opening Hymn
1. All for the Heart of Jesus –
We pray you, Mother, teach us
In ev’ry tribulation
In Him alone to trust!

Oh, hear our cries, Dear Mother!
Bring them to Christ, our Brother.
Bend from the heights of Heaven
And wipe our tears away! (2x)

2. His Providence provided.
In Him, your soul confided.
In loving reparation,
The Cross became your friend.

Oh, hear our cries, Dear Mother!
Bring them to Christ, our Brother.
Bend from the heights of Heaven
And wipe our tears away! (2x)

From the Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians 1:24-28

Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ on behalf of his body, which is the church, of which I am a minister in accordance with God’s stewardship given to me to. Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, in the glory of God the Father.

We already arrived at the 7th day of the novena in preparation of her feastday:

October 27

Opening Hymn
1. Dear Mother, we thank you, for faithfully guiding
Your daughters and showing us love’s gracious way.
To win souls for Jesus was your one desire;
l:For His Heart you taught us to suffer and pray! :l
2. Dear Mother, inflame us with your heart’s desire;
Let warm hearts seek still to console that of Christ.
May we, as your daughters, give all in His service –
l: To win souls for Jesus no matter the price! :l

Opening Prayer

Through Jesus Christ.

From the Letter of St. Paul to the Philippians 2:5-11

Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus,
Who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and, found human in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross.
Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, in the glory of God the Father.

From the writings of Blessed Mother Maria Teresa

Our Lord and God walked among us in extreme humiliation, always suffering. What else more than humility will the Divine Savior seek to find in His servants? Therefore, let us not only wear the habit of humility and penance; but in humility of heart let us take upon us the crosses, sufferings and toils which the servant of the Divine Heart meets with in abundance, and, with the eyes upon the life of Christ, carry them and courageously follow Him to Golgotha until the last hour. Then shall we, serenely as our Master, the Divine Savior, be able to return our souls into the hand of our Heavenly Father. (Notes, Bonn, April 1891)

Happy feastday of saint Teresa of Avila! She was the great example for our Blessed Maria Teresa of St. Joseph! After reading her autobiography she was convinced that her way to follow the Lord was also in the Karmel. In Rome she made three novenas to the relic of the foot of saint Teresa in the Carmelite Church Maria della Scala. And her prayers were answered: she received a letter of raccomandation from the Cardinal Protector of the Carmel which helped her for her new foundation. May both of them now intercede for our Carmel DCJ in heaven!

Happy feastday of St. Therese of the Child Jesus! May she send many flowers today to all who want to follow her example!
Blessed Mother Maria-Teresa said about her:
"What a wonderfully lovely example of virtue our dear God has given in His great love and mercy to all religious now in the little blessed Therese! Each of you can become a second little Therese; nothing prevents you except negligence, unfaithfulness, disregard for small things—and yet you see in this great saint that it is not great things, but small things done with great zeal and fidelity that lead to great holiness." (Letter 1343 from Dec. 18, 1922)
May our Carmelite Saints guide us to holiness!

Happy 87th birthday to Heaven, dear Mother Maria-Teresa of St. Joseph!
You promised us to "dry tears from the high heavens and to heal wounds of the soul, that is my deepest wish."
And we are sure that she is doing it now coming down from Heaven to all who trust in her intercession!
Blessed Maria-Teresa of St. Joseph pray for us and help us on our way to Heaven!
