In the silence of the prison, in the shadows of the cell,
Your children sing in whispers what the world can never tell.
Though chains may bind the body, though darkness grips the night,
Your Word remains their beacon, Your Spirit still their light.
Hold them in the fire, keep them in Your grace,
Wrap them in Your mercy in every hidden place.
Let courage rise like morning, let hope ignite the flame—
The church that's bruised and broken still magnifies Your name.
In secret congregations, behind the guarded doors,
Your kingdom spreads in quiet through underground outpours.
Where sermons are in silence, and praise is but a breath,
Still faith is forged in furnace and love defies the death.
Hold them in the fire, keep them in Your grace,
Wrap them in Your mercy in every hidden place.
Let courage rise like morning, let hope ignite the flame—
The church that's bruised and broken still magnifies Your name.
We are one with those who suffer, one in Christ, one call,
When one limb bleeds in battle, the whole body feels it all.
So we lift our hearts in burden, and raise our voice in prayer:
Lord, strengthen every martyr, be present everywhere.
Hold them in the fire, keep them in Your grace,
Wrap them in Your mercy in every hidden place.

Let justice rain like thunder, let peace be more than dream—
Until the captive dances and all the faithful sing.
The church that's bruised and broken
Still glorifies the King.
