ПРЕОБРАЖЕНИЕ / TRANSFIGURATION
Сегодня мы читали, как Христос, взяв троих учеников, взошел с ними на гору и там преобразился – лицо Его просияло как Солнце и одежды Его сделались белыми как свет. И явились пророки Моисей и Илия, с которыми Он беседовал. При этом Петр, видев все это, говорит довольно странные слова Иисусу: Господи! хорошо нам здесь быть; если хочешь, сделаем здесь три палатки: Тебе одну, и Моисею одну, и одну Илии.
Что это за свет, которым просиял Христос? И что это за странная реакция Петра и что значат его странные слова?
В священном Писании довольно часто упоминается о свете. У Иоанна - "Бог есть свет, и нет в Нем никакой тьмы". И у него же «В Нём была жизнь, и жизнь была свет человеков. И свет во тьме светит, и тьма не объяла его». Христос Сам о Себе говорил: «Я — свет миру; кто последует за Мною, тот не будет ходить во тьме, но будет иметь свет жизни». Также в Откровении Иоанна мы читаем: «И увидел я новое небо и новую землю… И святый город Иерусалим, новый, сходящий от Бога с неба, Храма же я не видел в нем, ибо … храм его … Агнец. И город не имеет нужды ни в солнце … ибо слава Божия осветила его, и светильник его - Агнец. Спасенные народы будут ходить во свете его. И отрет Бог всякую слезу с очей их, и смерти не будет уже; … И ночи не будет там, и не будут иметь нужды ни в светильнике, ни в свете солнечном, ибо Господь Бог освещает их».
И вот Христос, Агнец, просиял на горе с учениками этим светом небесного Иерусалима, светом Небесного Царства Христа, Бога нашего. И пророки Моисей и Илия, которые уже там находятся, в этом Небесном граде, появились и беседовали с Христом. И ученики Петр, Иаков и Иоанн тоже оказались на короткое время в этом небесном Иерусалиме. И Петр, еще не понимая это, но чувствуя, что, вот дом, вот оно место, где хочется остаться, откуда не хочется уходить, испытывая духовную радость, говорит: «Господи! хорошо нам здесь быть; если хочешь, сделаем здесь три палатки: Тебе одну, и Моисею одну, и одну Илии». Он хочет остаться там подольше. Он предлагает сделать три палатки. Но ученики еще не готовы.
И вот на горе явилось облако, и апостолы услышали голос: «Сей есть Сын Мой Возлюбленный, … Его слушайте». И они слушали. И их ученики. И ученики учеников. И мы сегодня.
"Его слушайте". Вспомним, что Христос говорил? С чего начал свою миссию? - «Покайтесь, ибо приблизилось, Царство Небесное». Покайтесь - то есть измените свою жизнь на жизнь по евангельским заповедям, на жизнь по слову Христа. И многие праведные и святые нашей Церкви изменили свою жизнь и тоже приобщились к этому свету, и уподобились Христу и просияли Его светом. Читая жития святых, мы ведь постоянно встречаем описания того, как этот свет иногда проявляется и становится видимым. Нимбы на иконах, это ведь не только символ.
Здесь можно вспомнить беседу Мотовилова с Серафимом Саровским, когда преподобный преобразился и просиял, и Мотовилов, который сидел рядом, также, как Петр, почуствовал теплоту и благодать этого фаворского света, света Небесного Иерусалима.
Господи, помоги и нам слушать Твоего Сына и жить по Его слову, чтобы просветиться светом Твоим и не лишиться небесной радости. Аминь.

Today we read how Christ, having taken three disciples, ascended the mountain with them and was transformed there - His face shone like the Sun and His garments became white as light. And the prophets Moses and Elijah appeared and spoke to Him. At the same time, Peter, seeing all this, said to Jesus: Lord, it is good for us to be here: if you want, let us make here three tents; one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
What is this light emanated from Christ? And what is this strange reaction of Peter and what do his strange words mean?
Light is mentioned quite often in the Holy Scripture. John says: "God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all." And he also says: "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." Christ said about Himself: "I am the light of the world; whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." Also in the Revelation of John we read: "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth... And the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, but I saw no Temple in it, for its temple is the Lamb. And the city has no need of the sun, for the glory of God illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb. The saved nations will walk in the light of it. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death; And there will be no night there, and they will have no need of a lamp or of the light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light."
So Christ, the Lamb, shone on the mountain with the disciples with this light of heavenly Jerusalem, the light of the Heavenly Kingdom of Christ our God. And the prophets Moses and Elijah, who were already there, in this Heavenly city, appeared and had a conversation with Jesus. And the disciples Peter, James and John also found themselves in this heavenly Jerusalem for a short time. And Peter, not yet understanding this, but feeling that this is home, this is the place where you want to stay, where you don’t want to leave, experiencing spiritual joy, says: “Lord! It is good for us to be here; if you want, let us make three tents here: one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” He wants to stay there longer. He suggests making three tents for this. But the disciples are not ready yet. So then a cloud appeared on the mountain, and the apostles heard a voice: “This is my beloved Son, … listen to Him.” And they listened. And their disciples. And the disciples of the disciples. And we today.
“Listen to Him.” Let us remember what Christ said. How did he begin his mission? - “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Repent - that is, change your life to a life according to the Gospel commandments, to a life according to the word of Christ. And many righteous and saints of our Church changed their lives and also became part of this light, and became like Christ and shone with His light. Reading the lives of the saints, we constantly come across descriptions of how this light sometimes manifests itself and becomes visible. Halos on icons are not just a symbol.
Here we can recall the conversation between Motovilov and Seraphim of Sarov, when the saint was transformed and was inlightend, and Motovilov, who was sitting next to him, also, like Peter, felt the warmth and grace of this light, the light of Heavenly Jerusalem.
Lord, help us to listen to Your Son and live according to His word, so that we may be enlightened by Your light and not lose you heavenly joy. Amen.
