De viering van 17 mei staat in het teken staan van Palestina. Voorganger ds Alke Liebich vertelt in haar preek over haar ervaringen op de Westelijke Jordaanoever en Oost-Jeruzalem als vrijwilliger voor de World Council of Churches en Conny Groot vertelt over de Tent of Nations nabij Bethlehem, waar zij vrijwilliger was (Vrienden Tent of Nations Nederland - Home). Dit is een educatieve boerderij van de Palestijns-christelijke familie Nassar, zie zich ondanks de moeilijke omstandigheden, zich op een geweldloze manier blijft inzetten.
Het bijbelverhaal uit Johannes 9 speelt zich af in Jeruzalem, in Siloam, het huidige Silwan. In het verhaal gaat het over blind zijn en zien. Over de waarheid spreken, of twijfel zaaien. Wat is er gaande in dat deel in Jerusalem? Wat valt er te zien?
De muziek (zang / gitaar), waaronder Arabische liedjes, wordt verzorgd door Cindy de Kroon-Hilboezen, die betrokken was bij Songs2Serve. Voor de kinderen is er een apart programma. Na de viering is er gelegenheid voor ontmoeting onder het genot van koffie en thee, en heerlijke lekkernijen, zoals Palestijnse koekjes, labneh en baba ganoush.
