✝️ HOW TO GO TO CONFESSION. EXPLAINED STEP BY STEP
___________________
Many Catholics stay away from Confession because:
they are afraid,
they do not know what to say,
or they think their sins are “too much.”

But Confession is not a place of condemnation.
It is a place of mercy.
A place where the wounded soul meets the healing love of Christ.

Here is a simple guide to help you approach the Sacrament of Reconciliation with peace and confidence.

✝️ 1. PREPARE YOUR HEART BEFORE CONFESSION

Before entering the confessional, spend some time praying quietly.

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you honestly see your sins and weaknesses.

Reflect on your life since your last confession:

- Have I loved God faithfully?
- Have I neglected prayer?
- Have I hurt others through words or actions?
- Have I lived in anger, impurity, dishonesty, pride, gossip, hatred, or unforgiveness?
- Have I failed to do good when I had the opportunity?

This reflection is called an Examination of Conscience.

You may use:

- the Ten Commandments,
- the Beatitudes,
- or the teachings of Christ in the Gospel
to help examine your life honestly.

✝️ 2. ENTER THE CONFESSIONAL WITHOUT FEAR

When it is your turn, enter calmly.

Remember:
the priest is there not to shame you,
but to represent Christ and the mercy of the Church.

Many people are nervous during confession, especially after being away for a long time. That is normal.

Do not fear.

✝️ 3. BEGIN WITH THE SIGN OF THE CROSS

Together with the priest, make the Sign of the Cross.

Then say:

“Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. It has been [mention how long] since my last confession.”

For example:

- “It has been three months.”
- “It has been two years.”
- or even:
- “This is my first confession in many years.”

✝️ 4. CONFESS YOUR SINS HONESTLY AND CLEARLY

Now confess your sins sincerely.

You do not need to tell long stories or defend yourself.

Simply mention:

- the sins,
- and if necessary, how often they happened.

Speak honestly and humbly.

If you forget something accidentally, do not panic.
God sees your heart.

And if you do not know how to confess properly, simply tell the priest:
“Father, please help me.”

That is completely okay.

✝️ 5. LISTEN TO THE PRIEST’S COUNSEL

After your confession, the priest may:

- encourage you,
- advise you spiritually,
- or help you understand how to avoid certain sins in the future.

Then he will give you a penance.

The penance may be:

- prayers,
- reading Scripture,
- an act of charity,
- fasting,
- or making peace with someone you hurt.

Penance is not “payment” for forgiveness.
Rather, it helps heal the soul and strengthen conversion.

✝️ 6. PRAY THE ACT OF CONTRITION

Next, express sorrow for your sins.

You may use the traditional Act of Contrition:

“My God,
I am sorry for my sins with all my heart.
In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good,I have sinned against You whom I should love above all things.
I firmly intend, with Your help,
to do penance,to sin no more,and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.
Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us.In His name, my God, have mercy.Amen.”

OR

My God, because you are so good, I'm very sorry that i have sinned against you and by the help of your grace i will not sin again, Amen 🙏

✝️ 7. RECEIVE ABSOLUTION

The most powerful moment now comes.

The priest extends his hand and says the prayer of absolution.

At that moment:
through the authority given by Christ to His Church,
your sins are forgiven.

Not symbolically.
Not emotionally.
But sacramentally and truly.

When the priest finishes, respond:
“Amen.”

✝️ 8. GIVE THANKS TO GOD

The priest may say:
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.”

And you respond:
“His mercy endures forever.”

Because that is exactly what Confession is:
an encounter with Divine Mercy.

✝️ 9. GO IN PEACE, AND COMPLETE YOUR PENANCE

After confession, spend a few moments thanking God quietly.

Then complete the penance the priest gave you as soon as possible.

Remember:
Confession is not just about being forgiven.
It is also about conversion, healing, and beginning again.

✝️ IF YOU HAVE BEEN AWAY FROM CONFESSION FOR A LONG TIME…

Do not be afraid.

No sin is greater than the mercy of God when the heart truly repents.

The devil wants people to hide from Confession.
Christ calls sinners back to it.

The confessional is not a courtroom where God waits to destroy you.

It is a place where the Father waits to welcome His child home.

10 THINGS EVERY CATHOLIC SHOULD DO TOMORROW FOR THE QUEENSHIP OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Tomorrow, August 22, the Catholic Church celebrates the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Mary is not Queen because she is a goddess or because she replaces Christ. She is Queen because of her unique relationship with Christ the King and her humble participation in His saving mission.

Here are 10 simple things you can do tomorrow to honour her:

1. BEGIN THE DAY WITH MARY.
When you wake up, make the Sign of the Cross and offer your day to God through Mary. You can simply say, “Mary, Mother of Jesus, lead me closer to your Son today.”

2. PRAY THE HAIL MARY SLOWLY.
Don't rush through it. Pay attention to the words and remember that Scripture calls Mary “most blessed among women.” (Luke 1:42)

3. PRAY THE ROSARY.
If possible, pray all five decades. Offer them especially for your family, the Church, sinners and those who have no one praying for them.

4. READ THE MAGNIFICAT.
Take a few minutes to read Luke 1:46-55. This is Mary's own prayer of praise. Notice how her heart immediately turns toward God.

5. VISIT JESUS IN THE BLESSED SACRAMENT.
If you can, spend some quiet time before the Blessed Sacrament. Remember that authentic devotion to Mary always leads us closer to Jesus.

6. GO TO MASS IF YOU CAN.
The Queenship of Mary is a beautiful opportunity to participate in the Eucharistic celebration and honour Mary by worshipping the Son she always points us toward.

7. ASK MARY TO PRAY FOR YOUR FAMILY.
Bring your family before her in prayer, especially anyone who is struggling, sick, away from God or facing a difficult situation. Ask her to intercede for them before her Son.

8. DO ONE ACT OF HUMILITY.
Mary's queenship was not built on worldly power. She called herself “the lowly servant” of the Lord. (Luke 1:48, NAB) Honour her by doing something humble without seeking recognition.

9. HELP SOMEONE QUIETLY.
Encourage someone who is discouraged, forgive someone, give to someone in need, or perform an act of charity without announcing it. Let your devotion to Mary become visible through love.

10. END THE DAY WITH THE HAIL HOLY QUEEN.
Before sleeping, pray the Hail Holy Queen (Salve Regina) and entrust yourself and your loved ones to Mary's maternal care.

In simple words, tomorrow, don't just celebrate Mary's Queenship with words.
Pray.
Pray the Rosary.
Read Mary's Magnificat.
Visit Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Ask Mary to intercede for your family.
Practise humility.
Help someone.
End the day with the Hail Holy Queen.

And remember:
Mary's crown does not draw attention away from Jesus. It points us toward Him.

This is the picture and video making round social media.... About idolatry in the Catholic church blah blah blah... You see, i have reached to a point in the Catholic faith, where no amount of criticism shakes me off.
Many Catholics are actually the enemies of the same church, no christian denomination or church around the world today, that doesn't have Catholics worshipping and subscribing to their believes. why, because SOME Catholics believes God is not enough where they are, they need to see more sides of God to be satisfied.
To them, their are more formulas to reach to God more than the Mass and devotional prayers and practices.

But i thank God for the wisdom of the Catholic church, we are never in a hurry, trend or in a competition with the world or other faiths. We are who we are, from generation to generation, we don't change because the world wants us to.

If truly Catholics who left the church wants to discover Christ and live their lives as Christ-like, why not give up everything and come join many devoted men and women who belonged to strict orders and confraternities, men and women who gave up families, friends, marriage, pleasures, modern lifestyles and so on just to follow Christ in truth and spirit, avoiding distractions and noise... The most truthful part about those living a consecrated and religious life within the Catholic setting, do not even pray for themselves, they only pray and wrestle against the temptations of the flesh, they pray for conversion of sinners around world,they pray for the church to continue marching forward against every enemy and scandals just like the one trending now.

Being in communion with God is not when you go to church and pray, speak and pray in tongues and goosebumps fill your body, you sweat all over and roll your body on the floor.... After that you come back home and the devil will take over from where he stopped.

In Catholic church, we believe the world and it's rulers are best conquered by humility, making prayer a lifestyle such as belonging to various consecrated and religious bodies such as;

A Warning About Future Fashions and the Loss of Modesty.

Two accounts associated with Marian apparitions contain striking warnings about a future decline in modesty and morality.

At Fatima, Portugal, in 1917, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to the three shepherd children—Lucia dos Santos and her cousins Francisco and Jacinta Marto. In the later testimony attributed to Blessed Jacinta, she spoke about the dangers of immorality and future fashions. She reportedly said:

“Certain fashions will be introduced which will offend Our Lord very much. Those who serve God should not follow these fashions.”

The warning was understood as a call to Christians to preserve purity, modesty and respect for the human body, rather than simply following whatever fashions become popular.

A similar warning is associated with Our Lady of Good Success, whose apparitions are traditionally connected with Mother Mariana de Jesús Torres in Quito, Ecuador in 16th Century. In the prophecy attributed to Our Lady, she warned of a future period of profound moral and spiritual decline. Among the things described was a time when modesty would almost disappear among women, particularly as society increasingly embraced impurity and moral disorder.

Taken together, these two traditions present a sobering warning: there would come a time when society's standards of modesty would decline, fashions would increasingly offend Christian morality, and many people would follow those fashions without considering their effect on purity and the dignity of the human person.

The message, however, should not be reduced simply to “women will wear revealing clothes.” The broader Catholic theme is a warning about modesty, purity, morality and the danger of allowing society's changing standards to replace one's conscience and relationship with God.
