Today, 5th September 2025, we laid to rest Late Rev. Markus B. Lawal at Yola-Town, Yola South LGA of Adamawa State.

He was born on 31st December 1964 at Dala-Waja, Balanga LGA of Gombe State. He was baptized on 7th September 1977.

He started his professional career as a policeman with the Nigerian Police Force, and later resigned to be a teacher. He was ordained as a full time pastor of the LCCN in February 2003.

Late Rev. Markus served the Church as a pastor with St. James Lutheran Church Yola-Town, Redeemer Lutheran Church, a chaplain with the Yola Prison, and staff of LCCN Yola Diocese Secretariat where he continued to work until his death.

He died on 1st of September, 2025, at Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola. His demise followed some complications related to a road traffic accident he was involved in three weeks before his death. He left behind his wife, Mama Ladi Markus, a daughter and several other relatives.

“YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE IS DYING BECAUSE YOUR S*X LIFE IS WILD”

Some of you are not under spiritual attack —
You’re just trying to mix holiness with horniness.

Let’s talk like men 👇🏽

1. YOU CAN’T PRAY FOR POWER AND WATCH P**N AT NIGHT

What exactly are you expecting?
Heaven to bless you while hell is clapping for you?

You pray for purity, then scroll Instagram to find temptation.
You beg God for destiny, then chase someone’s daughter to a hotel.
You cry in worship, but moan in fornication by evening.

That’s not warfare — that’s contradiction.
You’re not growing spiritually because you’re feeding your lust more than your soul.

2. S*XUAL SIN IS A SPIRITUAL LEAK

It drains your authority, boldness, and closeness with God.

That’s why after s*xual sin:

You feel distant from God
You don’t want to open your Bible
You avoid real men of God
You justify what you once preached against
You struggle to worship like before

It’s not punishment. It’s separation.
Sin weakens your spiritual voltage.
You can’t sin boldly and still pray boldly — it doesn’t work.

3. YOUR FIRE IS OFF BECAUSE YOUR ZIP IS OPEN

The Holy Spirit does not dwell in a temple that keeps inviting lust every weekend.

You can’t cry “Lord, use me” when you keep using your body to please strangers online.

Every time you watch p**n, you plant seeds of guilt.
Every time you ma******te, you fuel addiction.
Every time you sleep around, you dilute your spiritual oil.

Your anointing is not lost — it’s just buried under s*xual compromise.

4. YOU CAN’T CHASE GOD AND GIRLS AT THE SAME TIME

One will leave.

It’s either:

You die to flesh and grow in Christ
OR
You live in pleasure and die spiritually

Let’s be real:
Most brothers don’t lack calling — they lack consecration.

You want prayer and p**n.
Fasting and flirting.
Spirit and s*x.
👉🏽 That’s a recipe for spiritual paralysis.

5. GOD IS NOT THE PROBLEM — YOUR LACK OF DISCIPLINE IS

You cry, “God why don’t I feel you like before?”
But last week, you were on TikTok drooling over half-naked girls.

You ask, “God, why is my fire low?”
But you haven’t gone 3 days without “releasing” into your palm.

This isn’t spiritual warfare. This is self-destruction.
You’re killing your own intimacy with God — and calling it a “dry season.”

6. SOME OF YOU ARE NOT WEAK — JUST SPIRITUALLY DISCONNECTED

Because your s*x life is out of control.

Result?

You’re losing your authority
Your dreams are filled with lust
You’re no longer bold in the Spirit
You battle guilt, shame, addiction
You no longer hear God clearly

And it all started with that small “just once” moment.

One p**n clip.
One ma********on session.
One sneaky hookup.

Now you’re hooked.
And your fire is gone.

7. FREEDOM IS NOT IN “MANAGING IT” — IT’S IN SURRENDER & DISCIPLINE

You don’t manage lust — you kill it.
You don’t reduce p**n — you delete it.
You don’t play with s*x — you flee.

Practical steps:

Unfollow lust pages
Block sneaky links
Avoid the midnight texter
Cancel “Netflix and chill” traps
Confess struggles to brothers who’ll hold you accountable

It’s not shame — it’s survival.

-⚔️ FINAL WORD
Brother, you’re not dry because God left you.
You’re dry because s*x has become your new savior.

But s*x doesn’t save — it steals.
Lust doesn’t build — it breaks.
P**n doesn’t relieve — it destroys.

👉🏽 Come back to fire.
👉🏽 Come back to purity.
👉🏽 Come back to spiritual sensitivity.

Your calling is too heavy to live with a careless zip.
Your family, your ministry, your purpose — depends on this war.

Burial Arrangements for *Rev. Markus B. Lawan*, of LCCN Yola Diocese Secretariat.

Late Rev. Markus B. Lawan passed away on 1st of September, 2025, at Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola. His demise followed an accident three weeks ago, which led to complications from injuries sustained.

His burial is scheduled as follows:

1. Sing Song Service is scheduled to hold on Thursday 4th September, 2025 at St. James Lutheran Church Yola Town by 3:30 PM.

2. Funeral Service on Friday 5th September by 8:30 AM St. James Lutheran Church Yola Town.

3. Final internment at Yola Cemetery, Yola Town.

Not everyone is going to like you, and that's okay. You do not exist to make everyone happy. Don't let anyone bring you down or take control of your life.
Their beliefs do not change the truth. Remember, you will always have yourself. The sense of power and strength can come from no one else but you.
The more you try to please everyone, the less satisfied you feel with yourself. Address the insecurities you have about yourself, so you don't always worry about getting approval from others.

WHAT EVERY ELDERLY BELIEVER MUST DO
Old age is a gift from God.
It is a crown of honor for those who have walked with the Lord.

“Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness.” — Proverbs 16:31

Dear Grandfathers, Grandmothers,
Great-grandfathers and Great-grandmothers,
If the Lord has kept you this long, it is not for nothing.
You carry deep blessings within you—don’t leave without pouring them out.

Look at Isaac.
Before he died, he called his sons and blessed them.
“Bring me some game so that I may give you my blessing before I die.” — Genesis 27:4

Even though it came with struggle, that blessing shaped the destinies of nations.

Look at Jacob.
Before his last breath, he summoned Joseph and his sons.
He crossed his hands and laid powerful blessings on Ephraim and Manasseh.
“The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked... may He bless these boys.” — Genesis 48:15

Before you go:
- Call your children and grandchildren together.
Let them hear your voice. Let them feel your love.

- Lay your hands on them.
Speak blessings that will follow them long after you are gone.

- Put your house in order.
Reconcile broken hearts. Restore lost peace.
“Set your house in order, for you shall d!e and not live.” — Isaiah 38:1

- Speak of Jesus.
Remind them of your walk with Him.
Tell them, “Follow the Lord all your days. Don’t let go of His hand.”

You have carried the fire.
Now pass it on.

You have fought many battles.
Now bless the next soldiers in your family.

And when you close your eyes,
Let it be in peace—
Surrounded by love,
And full of joy.

Marrying a pastor is a calling with brutal responsibilities. All eyes are on you, some people just want you to fail, some want to take your place, even when you are right they will condemn you. You are always afraid of losing your husband to the church especially NOWADAYS that ladies are fighting to be pastor's favorites. To avoid all these, mummy follow my advice below!

1. DON'T BORROW MONEY FROM YOUR CHURCH MEMBERS

2. DON'T GOSSIP YOUR MEMBERS OR WITH YOUR MEMBERS

3. DON'T DISCUSS YOUR HUSBAND'S SECRETS WITH MEMBERS

4. DON'T BE EXTRAVAGANT IN SPENDING

5. DON'T BE JEALOUS WHEN LADIES COMES AROUND YOUR HUSBAND

6. DON'T BE A DIRTY MOTHER IN THE LORD

7. DON'T COMMAND RESPECT, BECAUSE IT'S EARNED

8. DON'T ATTACK OR RAISE YOUR VOICE AT YOUR HUSBAND PUBLICLY

9. DON'T SPEND CHURCH MONEY WITHOUT ASKING QUESTIONS

10. DON'T QUARREL OR FIGHT WITH CHURCH MEMBERS

11. DON'T HAVE FAVORITES IN YOUR CHURCH, EVEN IF YOU DO, PLEASE DON'T SHOW IT

12. DON'T ALLOW TRIBALISM AROUND YOU, BECAUSE IT WILL KILL YOUR HUSBAND'S MINISTRY

13. DON'T LET LADIES DO YOUR DOMESTIC JOB, EXCEPT YOU ARE TIRED OF MARRIAGE

14. DON'T BE TOO CLOSE TO BROTHERS IN YOUR CHURCH, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN MUMMY.

15. YOUR HUSBAND'S FRIENDS SHOULD NOT BE YOUR CLOSE FRIENDS, BECAUSE THEY MAY USE YOU AGAINST YOUR HUSBAND

16. PRAY FOR YOUR HUSBAND MORE THAN YOU GOSSIP HIM

17. LOOK FOR SOMETHING TO DO MUMMY, BECAUSE TITHE AND OFFERING IS NOT FOR SHAWARMA AND ICE CREAM

18. DEFEND YOUR HUSBAND NO MATTER THE SCANDAL, MISTAKES AND WEAKNESS BUT REBUKE HIM AT HOME

19. PACKAGE YOUR HUSBAND, OR DO YOU LIKE THE WAY YOUR HUSBAND DRESSES LIKE AREA BOYS? HELP HIM TO LOOK LIKE A SPIRITUAL LEADER AND NOT A YAHOO BOY

20. DEVELOP YOURSELF, A PASTOR'S WIFE MUST LEARN HOW TO LEAD PRAYER, PREACH/TEACH.
