Title: Wisdom shuns sin

Text: There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back anything from me but thee because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God? - Genesis 39:9 KJV

Sin always offers temporary pleasure but ends up stealing far more than the eyes can see. The enemy has no new tricks. He merely modifies his old techniques. It was the same thing he did to Adam and Eve. Offered them temporary pleasure and stole from them far more than the eyes could see at the time. Fools walk down the highway of sin while the godly wise avoid that road. Potiphar’s wife offered Joseph temporary pleasure, but behind all that, it was the devil at work, trying to steal his dream of greatness. Joseph saw through the enemy’s tricks. He was wise enough to shun her advances, protect himself, and protect his dream. Loving and living in sin aborts destinies. Tap into the wisdom of God to discern the tricks of the enemy and shun evil so that God can protect you and take you to the place He prepared for you.

TODAY'S PRAYER: I am godly wise and shun every path of sin and will walk the path of God so I can walk into the place He has planned for me.

Today’s Pentecost service was a powerful reminder that the Holy Spirit is still moving, still transforming lives, and still filling hearts with fresh fire. From the worship to the Word and every prayer lifted, God’s presence was evident in every moment. We came expectant and left renewed, strengthened, and empowered for the days ahead. Truly grateful for a service filled with grace, unity, joy, and revival. May the fire of Pentecost continue to burn in our hearts every day.

Title: Ask the all-wise God

Text: If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God, and it will be given to you. God is generous and won’t correct you for asking. - James 1:5 NIV

If any man needs wisdom, he should ask God. Many times, we ask men when we should be asking God. Too many times, we are talking to men about the problem. Often when we have a problem, and we are seeking a solution, we phone a friend and either talk to God later or do not even talk to Him at all. Men are limited, but God is unlimited. One way to gain wisdom is to seek guidance from God. That issue? Have you talked to God? God is just a prayer away. Pharaoh dreamed a dream he did not understand. The king did not understand it, but the King of kings understood it. The King of Kings answered Joseph after he asked. God showed Him the answer to the problem. There is a way out of the situation you are in. There is a way to handle the problem. God knows the way out and wants to show you the way. Ask God to show you, and He will show you the way out.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Dear LORD, show me the way out of this situation, for you said that if I ask, you would show me the way out.

Title: Receive correction

Text: Do not correct a scoffer (who foolishly ridicules and takes no responsibility for his error), or he will hate you; correct a wise man (who learns from his error), and he will love you. - Proverbs 9:8 AMP

The term “wise,” as described here in today's scripture, applies to a person who loves correction and does not take offense when corrected. Is it always difficult for you to take correction when you are wrong? Then you cannot claim to be wise. Let our hearts be open to receive rebukes, correction, and reproofs for any time we go wrong; for that is the way of the Lord for a righteous man. Correction does not diminish you; instead, it makes you better and wiser. Even the Lord chastises (corrects) the ones He loves. Be wise, not foolish. Accept correction and learn from your errors and mistakes.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, help my heart always to receive correction for any time I go wrong or am on the wrong path.

Title: Walk with the wise

Text: Wise friends make you wise, but you hurt yourself by going around with fools. - Proverbs 13:20 CEV

There is a saying that states a sheep can't lie down with dogs without picking up fleas. Your company affects your character. Bad company corrupts good character. If you fellowship with drunkards, fornicators, cheats, scorners, and haters of God long enough, you will sooner or later become like them. An eagle that hangs around on the ground with chickens will sooner or later forget how to fly. God’s word is truth. And the word of God says those who walk with the wise will become wiser, but those who hang with fools hurt themselves. Choose your company or associations, and do not let them choose you. When the wise walk with the wise, they will get wiser, but when the wise hang with fools, they will learn the ways of the foolish and hurt themselves. Become wiser by consciously choosing to walk with the wise, so that you may continue to walk in the path of wisdom.

TODAY'S PRAYER: I have chosen to forsake the foolish, and live and walk in the way of understanding.

Title: Humility and wisdom

Text: When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. - Proverbs 11:2 NIV

God gives wisdom, but He does not give wisdom to the proud. Who is a proud person? He or she is the person who thinks they know it all. A proud person relies solely on their intellect, connections, ability, or strength. These things, though good, can fail you when you need them most. And because they can fail you, you would do well not to depend on them. Depend on God and His word. His word is superior wisdom. However, there is a price to pay for gaining wisdom. One such price is humility. If you are not teachable, you are not humble. And if you are not humble, do not expect to be led in the way of wisdom. In fact, the word of God says that God resists—opposes, fights, and blocks—the proud. And if there is anyone you cannot afford, they will be against you; it is Almighty God. Pay the price of humility so you can continue to grow in wisdom.

TODAY'S PRAYER: Help me, LORD, to stay humble and teachable so I can keep increasing in wisdom.

Title: Obedience rewards

Text: If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the best of the land. - Isaiah 1:19 AMP

Who would wish to settle for less when you can enjoy ‘the best of the land’? You can enjoy the best of the land only by being wise enough to choose the way of obedience. You can not just sit and wish; you need to choose and walk in the way of obedience and be willing. Disobedience costs you more, so why settle for what will cost you more? Decide to be willing at all times and to choose the way of obedience so you can be among those who will have, eat, and enjoy the best of the land.

TODAY'S PRAYER: The way of obedience is the way I choose to go, and the best of the land is my portion.

Title: Do not be disobedient

Text: But if you refuse to listen to the Lord your God and do not obey all the commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come and overwhelm you. - Deuteronomy. 28:15 NLT

It is the way of the devil to sell us the idea that obeying God’s commands is difficult and that doing otherwise is much easier and the easier option. However, relying on such an idea can harm people's walk, relationships, and God's blessings. Be wise enough to stand for obedience to God rather than disobey Him. For every action and decision, there are consequences and benefits. Which do you choose? Choose obedience and its benefits, and shun disobedience and its consequences.

TODAY'S PRAYER: I pray that I will be obedient to God and His WORD, and I pray for the grace to shun every form of disobedience.

Title: Let your words impart grace

Text: Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. – Ephesians 4:29 KJV

If your words will not admonish, encourage, build, strengthen, put a smile on someone's face, or lift someone, then don’t speak them! Our words can either mar or make someone. Before you speak, pause and think whether it will have a positive impact or harm the person. Let our words be seasoned with love, godly rebukes, and grace and not put down or destroy a person. Let Jesus be our example in speech, deeds, and actions. Let love lead and be our watchword.

TODAY'S PRAYER: I pray that my words impart grace always to my listeners and those around me.
