Pst. CEDAR OBAH teaches that believers should “smell like Jesus” by carrying the fragrance of Christ in character and conduct.

It draws on Song of Solomon 1:3 to present Jesus as fragrant and attractive, then connects that imagery to Old Testament holy anointing oil and to New Testament teachings that believers are “a sweet savor of Christ.” The message argues that spiritual fragrance is shown through love, peace, humility, holiness, and self-control, and that this fragrance attracts people, favor, and opportunities.

The sermon also warns that “dead flies” can spoil the perfume. Small sins and tolerated compromises such as pride, self-promotion, bitterness, unforgiveness, gossip, anger, dishonesty, secret immorality, and disobedience can corrupt a believer’s witness and weaken spiritual influence. The call is to guard one’s life carefully, remove these corrupting habits, and continually seek fresh oil through obedience and prayer.
