*MORNING DEW*
WIDOW'S MITE

Wednesday, 27th May 2026
Apst. Bod' D. Olukole

“Assuredly I say to you that this poor widow has put more than all those who have given to the treasury” Mark 12:43.

JOHN MASON once said, “A good way to judge a man is by what he says, a better way is by what he does, the best way is by what he gives.” I believe that fitly summarises what Jesus is saying in our main text today. For me, it suggests that God has keen interest in the way and manner people give to His work and Kingdom service. Jesus commended the poor widow who though gave comparatively less than the rich who gave much of their stupendous wealth, but in God’s eye actually gave more from her heart than all others did.

Contrary to my sociological class back in the day, the big problem here is neither in the ‘Haves’ nor the ‘Have nots’, the problem is in the ‘Give nots’ – those who do not give, or give but not in proportion to how they've been blessed. Hear Apostle Paul's testimony of the churches of Macedonia: "For I can testify that they gave not only what they could afford but far more. And they did it of their own free will". 2 Cor.8.3 (NLT) For Jesus, the true test of generosity is not necessarily in how much, but how much you have left. Is your 'widow’s mite' truly commensurate with how God has blessed you? Think on this!

Prayer:
--------------------------------------------------
Lord, I receive the willingness to give in proportion to how much you have blessed me.

*MORNING DEW*
SACRIFICIAL LIVING

Tuesday, 26th May 2026
Apst. Bod' D. Olukole

“And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you...” 2 Corinthians 12:15

SACRIFICING FOR others and for a cause is part of the foundation for impactful-living. Lester Sumrall left for the Philippines, giving up his comfort in the U.S. in pursuit of souls and expansion of God’s Kingdom. His friends and associates thought it was a crazy idea, and pitied him when he left. But it paid off eventually, as his latter impact in the Philippines became known. The Archbishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory did so too, turning down a mouth-watering offer by Oral Roberts who asked him to do ministry in the U.S., where all amenities were at his disposal. It was so tempting it took God to expressly instruct him to return to Nigeria.

You see, you cannot take a city you’re not willing to die for or give your all. You cannot accomplish a task or vision, you aren't ready to give your best shot. It reminds one of John Knox who prayed, “Give me Scotland or I die!” Did he take Scotland? Yes, he did with the gospel. Paul gave all too, as our main text shows. Elisabeth Elliot said, “He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” Sacrifice would pay you in the long run. Jesus said in Matthew 13 verse 45-46; "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it". If you are willing to sacrifice your all for a vision, it is only a matter of time, your vision will "buy back" all you had seemingly lost.

Prayer:
--------------------------------------------------
Lord, help me to give up so I can get up, and endure the pains of sacrifice for eventual gains.

*MORNING DEW*
THE MARRIAGE THAT WORKS

Monday, 25th May 2026
Apst. Bod' D. Olukole

“Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage...” Hebrews 13:4 (NLT).

MARRIAGE IS hardwork. If you’re not ready to work hard, don’t marry. Also note, who you marry will inevitably impact your personality, goals and entire life, going forward. Those who go into marriage thinking otherwise get so easily frustrated and want to quit. But those who know this truth do not only prepare for this expected change, they also choose their spouse wisely.

Marriage that will work has two Christ-centred individuals (husband and wife) who draw their values from God’s word alone. Their primary goal is to fulfil God’s purpose for their lives, and seek to please God. They show honour, respect and kindness to each other and do all they can to void arguments and irritations, both elements of pride. Their marriage is not built on control or manipulation by either spouse; each is willing to admit their wrongs when necessary and turn a new leaf. Never forget, in marriage you’re never on neutral; you're either playing God’s script or the devil’s.

Prayer:
--------------------------------------------------
Lord, I yield myself to You. Deliver me and my spouse from the snare of the devil.
--------------------------------------------------

The word today was centered on TELL TALE SIGNS OF A DEMONIC INFLUENCE

1. Addiction (Too much Sleep, S*x or food) Phil. 4:5, Ez. 16:49 NKJV

2. Emotional Maladjustments (Envy, hatred, depression, jealousy, etc) James 3:16.

3. Speech perversion. (Lying, exaggeration, talkativeness etc) Pr. 10:19 KJV, NLT

4. Unwarranted Miscarriages Ex. 23:26 NLT

Favour was one of the highlight of the Word today.Esther6:1

6. Repeated Tragedies like death in a family, poverty, a particular disease, accidents etc can indicate a demonic influence.

The presence of God was visible and lives were touched, yokes broken and hearts were mended.
It was an Awesome time in God's presence.

COVENANT SUNDAY OF RELEASE

Today’s Praise & Worship was nothing short of heaven on earth!
An atmosphere saturated with God’s presence, where every sound became a weapon of release and every melody carried freedom.

Chains were broken, burdens were lifted, and hearts were aligned as we poured out our worship in total surrender.

This is our season of release and indeed, God moved mightily!

If you were there, you know it wasn’t just a moment… it was an encounter.

*MORNING DEW*
THE COMPANY YOU KEEP

Sunday, 24th May 2026
Apst. Bod' D. Olukole

“Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart...” Deuteronomy 1:28.

THOSE YOU mingle with can determine how well you live. “As iron sharpens iron,” Proverb 27:17 says, “So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” Your friends, if they are good friends, can be great encouragement. I have some good friends and can tell. Our main text shows the power of the company you keep. But, beyond having good friends, we must understand that challenges of life come, and shall pass.

Someone once said that our troubles have expiry dates. It’s true. The Message Bible puts it succinctly in 2 Corinthians 4:17, “These hard times are small potatoes, compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us.” Trying times are transient, Paul is saying in this scripture. So, it doesn’t matter how hard your challenges may be, they will eventually pass. Meanwhile, keep keeping on. “Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day,” Paul says of himself in Acts 26:22. God will help you too.

Prayer:
--------------------------------------------------
Lord, I receive your help to joyfully stay strong until my change comes.

*MORNING DEW*
THE RIGHT WORDS

Saturday, 23rd May 2026
Apst. Bod' D. Olukole

“Words satisfy the soul as food satisfies the stomach; the right words on a person’s lips bring satisfaction” Proverb 18:20 (NLT).

A FACT of life is that times and seasons differ for each person; a reason it’s never wise to compare oneself with others (2 Corinthians 10:12). Know that God will judge you based on what He has called you to do; and your progress will be measured against your assignment. So, before you envy others, consider if you were given the same assignment. Even with similar assignment your timings differ. With this perspective, you envy no one; and the power of discouragement in your life wanes.

Also, this proper view of your calling and timing gives you the right focus in life; you’re able to say the right words about yourself. Speak to yourself in psalms, hymns and spiritual song in line with God’s word (Ephesians 5:19). To ‘prophesy’ or speak ill of yourself, consciously or unconsciously, can distort your destiny. Never do that. The children of Israel who did so ended badly (Number 14:28). Don’t repeat their mistake.

Prayer:
--------------------------------------------------
Holy Spirit, help me to control my thoughts and the words I say about myself, loved ones and others.
--------------------------------------------------

OVERCOMING DOUBTS

Friday, 22nd May 2026
Apst. Bod' D. Olukole

"And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, what went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?"_Luke 7:24

Our text shows us how John the Baptist queried the authenticity of Jesus being the messiah. Anyone who knows the caliber of John's
person and ministry would ask why John would think that way. Let's do a quick rundown of the ministry of John the Baptist: (1) He spent three years preparing for His calling - to herald the physical coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ. (2) He turned the Jewish nation to God. (3) He saw the greatest revival in His time. (4) He affirmed Jesus' ministry and referred people to Jesus. John was bold and fierce. He pronounced judgement upon Herod at some point because Herod had taken His brother's wife.

However, in spite of all these sterling qualities and feats of John, he doubted the Messiah at the point when he was put in prison and because Jesus did not come to his rescue. A few reasons may be adduced as to why John was eventually killed: (1) He lost fellowship with God. (2) He became offended at Jesus. The same John who quoted from Isaiah 49:3: "I am the voice of one crying in the Wilderness", was the one who asked if Jesus was the Messiah because of his personal travails. Truth be told, like John, we are all vulnerable to doubt if we don't continue in fellowship with the word, in prayer and with the brethren. We are vulnerable when we are consumed by our own needs. As you get back to fellowship today, I trust that every of your doubts will be starved to death, and you will be strengthened in faith again.

PRAYER:
--------------------------------------------------
Lord, I refuse offence as I get back to deeper fellowship.
