Sermon Title: *Renew Your Mind*

The mind is the control center of human life. Every action begins as a thought. Before a person changes outwardly, they must first change inwardly. Many believers desire transformation, breakthrough, victory, and spiritual growth, yet continue thinking the same old way.
- God is not interested only in changing our environment; He wants to change our thinking.
- Salvation changes our spirit instantly, but *renewing the mind is a daily process.*
_The battlefield of the Christian life is often the mind_. The enemy fights through lies, fear, doubt, negativity, temptation, and deception. *But God transforms us by renewing our thinking through His Word and His Spirit.*
Body:
I. *What Does It Mean to Renew Your Mind?* _To renew the mind means:_
- replacing worldly thinking with godly thinking,
- aligning our thoughts with God’s truth,
- allowing the Holy Spirit to reshape our mindset.
- Renewal is not merely positive thinking; it is biblical thinking.
II. *Why Must the Mind Be Renewed?*
a. _Thoughts Determine Actions_

_“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…”_
- Your life moves in the direction of your strongest thoughts.
b._The Enemy Targets the Mind_
*2 Corinthians 10:5* (KJV)
_“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”_
Satan attacks through:
- lies, fear, deception, condemnation
- negative imaginations.
c. _Transformation Begins in the Mind_
- Many desire changed circumstances without changing their thinking. But true *transformation starts internally before it manifests externally.*
III. *How Do We Renew the Mind?*
a. _Through the Word of God_
*Joshua 1:8* (KJV)
_“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night_…”
The Word of God:
- cleanses, teaches, corrects
- transforms.
*Illustration:*
_Dirty water becomes clear when clean water continuously flows into it. God’s Word flushes out wrong thinking._
b. _Through Prayer and Fellowship with the Holy Spirit_

_“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”_
- Prayer aligns the believer’s thoughts with God’s perspective.
c. _Through Guarding What Enters the Mind_

_“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true… think on these things.”_
- What you consistently expose yourself to shapes your thinking.
d. _Through Replacing Lies with Truth_

_“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”_

- Transformation began when his *thinking changed.*
Lesson:

a. Begin each day with Scripture

- Do not allow every thought to remain unchecked.

God never intended us to live defeated, fearful, or controlled by worldly thinking. Through Christ, we can develop a renewed mind that reflects His truth and His character.
When the mind is renewed, life changes.
