TOPIC: REDEEMED SOULS AND THEIR CONSCIOUSNESS OF ETERNITY
(A REDEEMED SOUL SEES BEYOND TIME) — PART 2
A Redeemed soul is not controlled by the temporary things of this present world. He lives with eternity constantly before his eyes.
The world teaches people to focus on what they can see, what they can possess, and what they can achieve within this short life. But a redeemed soul understands that this present life is only preparation for eternity.
1. A REDEEMED SOUL DOES NOT LIVE ONLY FOR THIS PRESENT WORLD
The redeemed soul knows that everything on earth is temporary.
“For the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” — 2 Corinthians 4:18 (KJV)
Therefore, he does not allow money, possessions, position, fame, comfort, or pleasure to become the ultimate purpose of his life.
He may use earthly things, but earthly things do not possess his heart.
He asks himself:
“Will this decision help me become ready for eternity?”
Before pursuing an opportunity, relationship, possession, or pleasure, the redeemed soul considers its eternal consequence.
2. A REDEEMED SOUL VALUES HIS SOUL MORE THAN THE WORLD
Jesus asked:
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” — Mark 8:36 (KJV)
This is the consciousness of eternity.
A person may gain the world and still lose everything that truly matters.
A Redeemed soul therefore refuses to exchange his soul for temporary benefits.He would rather suffer temporarily and remain right with God than enjoy temporary pleasure and lose eternity.
3. A REDEEMED SOUL MAKES DECISIONS WITH ETERNITY IN MIND
Not every opportunity is a God-given opportunity.
Not everything that brings pleasure is beneficial.
Not everything that increases wealth increases spiritual value.
The redeemed soul constantly asks: “Where will this lead my soul?”
He understands that today's choices can have eternal consequences.
That is why he takes holiness, obedience, God's Word seriously.
4. A REDEEMED SOUL DOES NOT ENVY THOSE WHO LIVE ONLY FOR THIS WORLD
When a redeemed soul sees sinners prospering, he does not conclude that sin is better.He remembers that earthly prosperity is not the final judgment.“For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.” — 1 Timothy 6:7 (KJV)
He may not have everything the world celebrates, but he has something greater to protect, his relationship with God and his eternal destiny.
5. A REDEEMED SOUL PREPARES FOR THE DAY HE WILL STAND BEFORE GOD
Eternity consciousness produces accountability.
The redeemed soul knows that there is account to give.
“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” — Romans 14:12 (KJV)
Therefore, he does not live carelessly.
He watches his Words, Thoughts, Relationships, Actions spiritual life.
He knows that one day the temporary journey will end, and eternity will begin.
6. A REDEEMED SOUL INVESTS IN WHAT WILL OUTLIVE THIS WORLD
Earthly investments can disappear.
Buildings can collapse, money can lose its value, beauty can fade, strength can fail, but what is done for God and according to His will carries eternal significance.
Jesus said:“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth... But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven.” — Matthew 6:19–20 (KJV)
Therefore, the Redeemed soul does not merely ask: “What am I gaining?”
“What am I storing up for eternity?”
A Redeemed soul sees beyond the clock. He sees beyond the present generation, earthly success, temporary suffering.He sees and death. He sees eternity.
This consciousness changes how he lives, what he loves, what he pursues, what he rejects, and what he sacrifices.
If eternity is real, then preparation for eternity must become our greatest priority.
Do not allow 120 years to make you forget forever (eternity).
Question : Are you ready for eternity?
Song: Eternity, Eternity, where will you spend eternity......
Thought of day: Live daily with Eternity in view.
Prayer: Lord help me to have this consciousness of eternity.
