According to Luke's account of the narrative of the events surrounding Jesus death, resurrection and ascension Jesus made a very striking statement on the road to Emmaus that reveals quite a number of things about him in line with reaching dreams, goals, desired results and outcomes.

In exact words he said "ought not the Christ to suffer these things and enter his glory?" (Luke 24:26 Kjv)

This statement reveals quite a number of things that'll be helpful to you also. Some of which include:

1. Jesus was very clear on the result and outcome he wanted (entering his glory).

2. He knew exactly for certain what it'll take to get what he wanted (he had full clarity about it).

3. He was willing and ready to do what it takes to reach it and eventually gave in to it.

4. He put himself through the difficult things it takes to reach the result and outcome he desired (going through the suffering).

5. He never quit on it and focused on what he wanted till be got it.

6. He got the result and outcome desired because he followed through the process.

7. Even when peter tried to talk him away from doing what it takes to get what he wanted he put him right and didn't let his words get to him.

Jesus in summary was a Go getter, he focused on what he wanted and got it and by so doing set a model and template to as many who will learn from it.

Like Jesus you too can also reach your dreams, goals, desired results, outcomes and dream life if you'll follow through the process listed afore like he did.

(Place priority on the work)
Acts 20:24 NLT
24 But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Another important thing you should know and do as a believer in regards carrying the task the Lord has given you as a believer; the task of reconciling people to him is to place premium and priority on the work and carrying it out.

Place priority on carry out the work the Lord has given you as a believer as he has given you this work to do. It's one thing you should know and do to be able to carry it out as you ought to.

If you do not place priority on carrying out the task the Lord has given you as a believer you may not be doing it, may not be able to do it as you ought to do it.

Learn to place priority on carrying out the work the Lord has given you as a believer so you can effectively carry it out.

In the opening verse of scripture today the apostle Paul says his life is worth nothing to him unless he uses it for carrying out the work the Lord has given him. He placed priority on the work and carrying it out as you should do also.

(It is because of this your work that people will belong to the Lord).
1 Corinthians 9:11 NLT
Am I not as free as anyone else? Am I not an apostle? Haven’t I seen Jesus our Lord with my own eyes? Isn’t it because of my work that you belong to the Lord?

One very important thing you should know about the task that the Lord has given us; the task of reconciling People to him is that it is through this task that people will belong to the Lord. In other words it this by telling others the good news about Christ thereby reconciling them to the Lord that people will be able to belong to the Lord.

So, if we do not get on with carrying out this task the Lord has given us people will not belong to the Lord.

The apostle Paul a man who was very much concerned and commited to the preaching of the gospel; the task of reconciling people to the Lord made a very striking statement in our opening verse of Scripture today writing to God's people in Corinth. He says: is it not because of my work that you belong to the Lord? In other words is it not through the preaching of the gospel; me carrying out the task that the Lord has given me that you belong to the Lord? That means they got to become believers Because he carried out the task the Lord gave him.

Beloved, get on to carry out the task the Lord gave you as a believer; the task of reconciling people to him. It is through this your work that people will belong to the Lord.

( Get equipped for the work)
Ephesians 4:11-12 NLT
11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

One reason many believers are not as productive as they ought to be in terms of carrying out the work (task) the Lord has given us, particularly in carrying out the task of reconciling people to the Lord is because they are not really equipped to carry it out.

According to Scripture believers are to be equipped to carry out the work the work the Lord has given them as we see in the opening verse of scripture today. And it is the primary responsibilities of ministers in the five fold ministry to equip this believers to carry out the work the Lord has given them.

As a believer, get to be equipped to carry out the work the Lord has given us. Get equipped to carry out the task the task of reconciling People to the Lord as a believer.

Ask the Lord to give you the right opportunities to be equipped to carry out the work the Lord has given you and to direct your way to those who he has ordained to equip you in carrying it out.

Get equipped to carry out the work the Lord has given you as a believer. It is one thing the Lord wants you to do as a believer as regards carrying out the work he has given you.

HEED GOD'S COUNSELS IN YOUR FINANCES.

CERTAIN KIND OF PRAYERS YOU SHOULD PRAY TO MEET YOUR GOD ORDAINED PARTNER

According to scripture one of the trouble and limitations believers face in the place of praying is that they really do not know what to pray for as they ought to (Romans 8:26).

HOW YOU ARE TO TREAT YOUR CHILD(REN) AS A PARENT WHO IS A BELIEVER ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE 4

As a parent who future parent who is a believer another important thing you should know about how you are to treat your children in line with the scripture is that you should:

BE GENTLE WITH THEM

As a parent who is a believer particular as a mother please be gentle with your child(ren). Its how the Lord wants you treating and dealing with them.

While children can be very funny a times and act in the most unlikeliest of ways please do not be too hard on them. Do not be hard on them, instead be gentle with them as scripture says.

Scripture says:

1 Thessalonians 2:7
But WE WERE GENTLE AMONG YOU, EVEN AS A NURSE CHERISHETH HER CHILDREN: (Emphasis mine).

Notice it says we were gentle among you as a nurse cherish her children? In other words the nurse (as is used for mother in this verse of scripture) is to be gentle with her child(ren).

As a parent who is a believer be gentle with your child(ren). Don't be too hard on them. That's not the way God wants you to treat, deal with and be with them.

If you really want to live a life that pleases the Lord as a believer, doing the things that pleases him another important thing you should know and do according to Scripture is to:

LIVE A LIFE FILLED WITH LOVE

According to Scripture living a life filled with love is one of the ways God wants us to live as believers. And since living the way God says to live is living in a way that please him (1 Thessalonians 4:2 NLT) if you're living a life filled with love you are actually living in a way that pleases the Lord.

Live a life filled with love as a believer if you really want to live a life that pleases the Lord as a believer, doing the things that pleases him. It's one way you can actually live that pleases the Lord and one way you'll be doing the things that pleases the Lord as a believer according to Scripture.

If you really want to grow in your knowledge of God as a believer another important thing you should know and do according to Scripture is to:

LOOK AT THE PERSON OF JESUS.

Looking at the person of Jesus as is revealed in the scripture is one way you'll get to know the Lord much more and more as a believer because Jesus among many other reasons came to earth to reveal God to us.

According to Scripture Jesus is the express image of the person of God (Hebrew 1:2-3). In other words he's the physical and visible picture, image and representation of the father; the one through whom we can see and know the Lord. So when we look at Jesus; his person, his character, his deeds it is actually God we are seeing.

If you really want to know the Lord much more and more and a believer then look in the face(the person) of Jesus. He's the express image of the father, the begotten of the father that has made him known to us.

God has made himself known to us through the person of Jesus, let's do well to look at him and into him much more and more if we really want to grow in our knowledge of God. The begotten of the father has revealed him (God) to us. (John 1:18 NLT)

Hebrew 1:2-3
HATH IN THESE LAST DAYS SPOKEN UNTO US BY HIS SON, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

PLEASE THEM WELL IN ALL THINGS
(Dealing with your employer(s) as an employee who is a believer 16).

According to scripture another important way in which you are to be with, do with, deal with, treat and respond to your employer(s) as an employee who is a believer is to "Please them well in all things".

Pleasing your employer(s) well in all things is one thing the Lord would have you do towards your boss(es) as an employee who is a believer. This is something you should know, understand and do well to do according to as an employee who is a believer.

Scripture says:

Titus 2:9
EXHORT SERVANTS to be obedient unto their own masters, and TO PLEASE THEM WELL IN ALL THINGS; not answering again;(Emphasis mine).

Notice it says to please them well in all things? In other words to make them really happy, fullfilled and satisfied in all things.

God wants the employee who is believer to please his employer(s) well in all things. This is Something you should know and understand as a believer.

Please your boss(es) in all things as an employee who is a believer as the Lord wants you to. It's how the Lord wants you doing with them and dealing with them.

Do all that you can to make them (your employers) happy in all you do as an employee who is a believer. It is what the Lord wants you to do.

THE HOLY SPIRIT
(certain things you need to know about the holy spirit as is revealed in god's word for you as a believer 10)

According to scripture another important truth revealed about the holy spirit which you need to know and understand as a believer is that:

He IS THE PROMISE OF THE FATHER TO AS MANY WHOM HE HAS CALLED AND WHOM HE SHALL CALL

According to scripture one of the very things we see about the holy spirit is that's he's god's promises to each and every believer; to those who he has called already and to those who he will still call through the gospel (ephesians 4:1nlt, 2 thessalonians 2:13-14)

scripture says:

Acts 2:38-39
then peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus christ for the remission of sins, and YE SHALL RECEIVE THE gift of the HOLY GHOST.
39 FOR THE PROMISE IS UNTO YOU, and TO your children, and to all that are afar off, EVEN AS MANY AS THE LORD OUR GOD SHALL CALL.(emphasis mine).

Notice he refers to the holy spirit as to god's promise to all those whom he has called and those whom he shall call? in other words he's saying that the holy spirit you receive as a believer is god's promise to all whom he shall call and whom he has called.

The holy spirit is the promise of the father to all those whom he shall call and all those whom he has called. this is something you should know.

When the bible speaks of call as in the above account of scripture it's actually referring to the call of the gospel (2 thessalonians 2:13-14). an invitation and summoning through which each and everyone got to place faith in the lord jesus and become believers.

When the gospel came to you it was a call by god. this is something you should know and understand as a believer. and when you responded to the gospel by placing faith in the lord jesus christ you were actually responding to God's call as scripture says.

So, when the scripture says the promise is unto you, to your children and to as many that are afar off and to all those whom the lord our God shall call it's simply saying the holy spirit (the promise) is to each everyone that god has called by the gospel and to all those who will call and who will respond to that call by placing faith in the Lord jesus.

The holy spirit is the promise of the father as jesus says (luke 24:49, acts 1:4). the promise to all those whom he shall shall call. this is another important thing you need to know and understand about the holy spirit as is revealed in the scriptures for you as a believer.
