Thanks Lord for all You did for me,
Thank You because all things works together for our good,
Even things we don't understand,
You turn them all when it was meant to bring us down,
You used it lift us to where we ought to be.

IN THE DASH BETWEEN—

Leaving behind precious memories
Of better and golden days;
When life was full of pleasantries,
All soon parted separate ways
In the dash between—

Good were the times before us
When we sat and talked together
And lived happily in roles,
But all soon has turned fairy tale forever
In the dash between—

Tender and young full of strength,
Seems that one will never grow old;
With all the plays in depth,
Till the seasons crop her fold,
In the dash between—

Friends and loved ones laughed and played,
Children and neighbours too;
We had so much fun have made,
Till life's circumstances toss
In the dash between—

Some have grown taller, and, fatter,
While some have gone leaner;
What really will matter
Takes places, fast or slow runner
In the dash between—

One day we may meet again
Somehow in the providence of life;
While sometimes some never retain
The sweet times we had, all gone in strife
In the dash between—

But the most amazing part
Some may have some stories to tell;
But may say it in broken heart,
Some have thought to wished them well
In the dash between—

In the decision we take today,
Some have settled down as one;
While others are pinning away
Grey hairs are seen yet alone
In the dash between—

But what shall be the fate?
When riches and gold one possess,
But had no trust nor saving faith,
And had so much misery and distress
In the dash between—

William′s Springtime Morning and Evening Devotional Hymns

Now that the day's coming to close
Dear Lord bid me stay with Thee;
None other beneath I repose
Only Thee Lord I see,
Till this evening dark shades
With its dimness fades;
Dear Lord bid me stay with Thee,
Wherever Thou wilt for me.

Draw near me, dear Master anew
As the yesteryears are folding;
Till I see Thee in the morning dew
In the blessed regathering,
Though the darkness creep o'er me
Thou shalt be alight about my way;
Dear Lord bid me stay with Thee,
In my resting and waking each day.

William′s Springtime Morning and Evening Devotional Hymns
LEAVING THE DARK PAST BEHIND

Leaving the dark past behind
Reaching forth to the brightest side;
Gone all the sorrows
With the night of weeping;
Standing on where the plants grows,
Precious seeds gleaning;
Hope of harvest joy
Cast from hearts the scorch of sun
Their bounty nought destroy
The devourers and the thorn.

All the weariness that was known,
Far gone and can't return
All the distresses we have borne;
This day is young and one
Which opens the gate of hope;
Though depressing the past hast been,
Bitterest moments with its crop
Falls now, turning as never seen
To songs of gladness in our being,
O morning of harvest we'll glean.

All the pains of labour goes
As the night shadows flee away;
All the shame and all the woes
Has now gone in the field we play;
Though bleak the past has been
Have now a brighter path before us,
Though once have we seen
The sad years hard labours;
But brighter still is the path we know
Where the footsteps leads below.

A time is coming when I shall rest
From all the labours here;
There where the ransom are blest,
The husbandman shall call me near;
Then the plough I have used,
The cutters and all the weapons down,
Then my rewards He would not refused
To bring, taking the winner's crown
Right from His hands beside the throne,
The reapers for all they have sown.

William′s Springtime Morning and Evening Devotional Hymns

REST, MY SOUL IN PEACE.

Rest, my soul in peace,
The toil of life surely have an end;
The storms has time to cease,
So doth all things blend;
To God's keeping be,
Unchanging is He!
In His precious bosom rest,
Till He gives thee what's best.

Rest, my soul in peace,
Sorrows on earth are awhile;
In waking there joys increase
After ye have run its mile;
Toiling hours must surely pass
But the reaping last forever;
Hell's power with its blast
Can't gainsay, never.

Rest, my soul in peace;
Under the shadow of Thy Lord;
Almighty hears, Almighty sees,
A sure refuge is He. A mighty stronghold;
These darkness may creep
But He's light about thee;
Whilst thou fast asleep,
His eyes are over me.

Rest, my soul in peace,
No arrows of hell can harm;
Creator of all precious trees,
Bares me in His arm!
The soul that ends in sin;
Shall have no rest but gloom,
Though all wealth be given
Can't exchange the doom.

William′s Springtime Morning and Evening Devotional Hymns

THANKS FOR ALL THOU BRINGETH!

Lord in kindness as thou led
Bringing Thy word to pass;
Thou meant wot thou said,
So by faith have I ask'd,
Never a time bygones faileth
When they and I pleadeth;
Thine hands of mercy openeth,
And to me thy gifts giveth;
Thanks for all thou bringeth.

Chorus

Thanks for all Thou bringeth,
Freely hast Thou bestowed all;
Who so asketh, receiveth,
So with gratefulness fall
Bowing to Thee, O God so kind!
So merciful, faithful and true,
Praises be to the glorified
Who hast brought us through.

Will praise Thee for all,
From dawn till sets of sun;
Spread forth from poll to poll,
The salvation of God's Son.
I shall lips to thee at eventide
When the sun her courses run
Thou shalt be on my side;
When earthly ties is all gone,
In Thee I shall confide.

In the solitude of the night,
When it's in its darkest;
I will sing praises in my plight,
In the midnight of my trials deepest;
Such sacrifices Thou hearest
and would cheer the trusting soul;
The night of weeping endures
Just a moment; Thou art in control;
Rejoice, morntide He assures.

William′s Springtime Morning and Evening Devotional Hymns

SOON SHALL THE NIGHT OF WEEPING BE O'ER.

Soon shall the night of weeping be o'er,
Awhile shall the traveler rest,
He shall awake and take his journey
To that heavenly country tread;
Resting time the Lord awakes beside
To watch overnight His pilgrim
Who for the weariness of the way
Got a stone for his pillow.

Soon shall all its blackness fleet
With the Nightingale;
Pilgrim, why worry of any thoughts to fret!
Thy keeper is the Lord of Hosts,
Whose wings thou hast come to hide;
His angels encamp a midnight watching
O'er thee their watch lights sprang
In the brightness of His glory.

Shouldest not Thy servant take his rest,
Whilst Thy celestial beings are nigh?
Shouldest not he be glad
Whilst their song of praises begins?
With a ladder set up to glory land,
Upwards and downward they fly,
Swift with their wings to earth and heaven,
Showing Thy servant Thy glories.

And while I gaze in my dream of wonder,
I heard their whisperings,
Their tune of mercies, grace so great;
Then beckons on, come up higher,
Through the rungs of grace:
Leave the vanity, the strife of men,
And set thine heart to praise thy Lord
Who hast shown thee all His care.

At such hour of stillness, blessed quietness,
When the busy noise of stress below,
And the tender sheep's fide in their folds;
When all the time for self is given,
And this be a chance divine;
Thou choosest to visit, commune with me,
Thy servant to guide, lead his way,
New promises there is given.

Lord I'll have thee take all the lead!
Whilst I shall be a student at Thy feet;
Thou wilt teach me to do the right,
My heart and nature shalt Thou change;
A new name from Thee,
Through the touch of Thy hands
Shall save me from the woe
And dread of the foe.

Thanks Lord for all the words are pure and ever true,
Thou hast spoken in my tender ear,
You wakened me morning by morning
And seal thy instructions within;
You taught me to be strong
And help me to refrain from the wrong,
My ears are ever open to hear a word from Thee,
Speak thus and thus to me, speak Thy servant heareth.

Speak Lord whilst Thy servant is listening to Thy voice,
Silent and quite willing to obey what Thou shalt say;
All my opinions are kept back from Thee,
All my doubts and unbelief are laid aside; my ears are open,
Thou have a word for me, speak on, spear not,
Tho it may hurt my will, yet shall heal my heart of its pride;
Though it may not please me, speak on, spear not thy sword,
Though it may touch blood, speak, yet shall save my life.

Speak Lord to me, even to me lest I go astray from doing the right,
Speak Lord to me, and leave me not to walk without Thee,
Without Thy counsel, Thy wisdom and Thy guidance,
I desire Lord, to know what Thou will have me do,
Where Thou shall have me go, and what Thou wants me to say,
Grant the courage to hear and say what Thou says to me,
Though it may warn and may speak bold to their face,
Speak Lord Thy servant heareth, speak and I shall obey.

With a humble heart I listen, speak Lord again to me,
Keep not aback a word of life, of grace and power;
Keep not back a word of judgement that I may fear
And turn from careless acts and thoughts, to walk straight,
Thou art Creator, I am just Thy creature, mine is to obey,
Thou art the Porter, and I am the clay, I can't say nay,
Whatever Thou shall command, Thou Captain, Lord of hosts,
Speak Lord Thy servant heareth, speak and I shall follow.

William′s Springtime Morning and Evening Devotional Hymns

Lord, I would at this moment cleave
Recounting Thy mercies, Thy care,
In worship and praises give
A sincere thanks to Thy ear.

Grateful Lord, the years rolls,
With trials and victories;
In each tender leading falls
Gently the shout of Victor's stories.

My soul shall rest forever,
When I shall awake to the shore
Where comes no sorrow ever;
To join the departed spirits to adore.

Awhile I'll spend my time here
In sleeping and waking again;
Knowing each night Thou art near
God three in one who in all ages reign.

Lord, I would at this moment cleave,
Trusting Thy faithful keeping;
Till my reins from day's stress relieve
From it heavy seasons of toiling.

My soul, dear Master renew,
And refresh the spirit of thy steward;
With Thy mighty Spirit come endue
For harvest of years ahead to reward.

Tenderly Jesus would lead me
As a Shepherd guided His flock;
Tho' frail, weak, His hand shall hold me,
And in life weary hour, He's my sheltering Rock.

Chorus

Tenderly, tenderly Jesus would lead me,
Blessed Jesus would keep His own;
In temptation's hour, He'll shield me,
Thro the darkest night and cloudy day.

On the parched and dreariest way,
Tenderly Jesus would lead me;
Through the mountains steep or sunny ray,
He'll climb uphill the mountain to take me.

All in vain the cloud darkly gather,
Tenderly Jesus would lead me;
I've in heaven a kind and generous Father,
All seasons beneath His control, He knows me.

Stormy winds and skies thunderstorm,
Tenderly Jesus would lead me;
Safe will I be, He's able to lead me home,
Always beside me, while I follow thee.

Come, Thou Creator, Ruler and King,
Ere the nightshades o'erspread the world,
Ere life's sunshine fold her wing;
Send help from Thy sheltering fold,
A light to lead our path;
And o'er our hearts enthrone,
In all Thy fullness, all Thy depth,
On us be mightily known.

Come, Thou Ever-living Saviour and Master,
Help us early to sing praises to Thee,
To hallow and adore the Father;
In one accord from sin and self be free,
Dwell then Thou Mighty Spirit above,
Not just in our midst but in our hearts;
Till no weakness seen, till all Thy love,
Thy power revealed, e'en to the frontier parts.

Come, Thou Glory in the Eternal Heavens,
Over us hover, clover over our heads;
And rest upon us as at the first disciples,
This be our sincere earnest pleads;
Ignite the Holy fire, that sacred flame,
In pure tongues unknown divine;
The gospel of the Kingdom proclaim,
With mighty wonders and signs.

Come Thou undying love eternal,
Made flesh, incarnate in mortal garb,
We know Thee, Thou Lord supernal,
Conform us to Thy nature, be our herb,
A medicine, and cure to a sinking world,
Putrid with sin, hates and evil of all sort,
From us begin, reveal to souls to behold,
Till mankind be freed when Thee resort.

1. In thine kind and generous heart
Thou made me rest in hope;
And my soul shall hold that fast
Which thou givest, and lookup.

God, let my eyes behold Thy face,
Rejoicing over what I do;
May I find each new day, Thy grace,
Grace divine, to be always true.

Precious Jesus, walk near me,
Let Thy presence cheers my heart;
In every ear that hears, every eyes that see me,
Let freshness of Thy love impart.

My Captain, Thou art able to guide me,
Able to lead me on the battlefield;
Fierce the battle raging, Thou shalt keep me,
Defending me with Thy eternal Shield.

Fill me with all Thy fullness Lord,
About me, around, above and within;
Then shall I able to preach Thy Word,
Without wavering, to bring the sinner in.
