It is considered a blessing when we do not have close companionship with those who oppose God. It does not mean we distance ourselves from sinners and unbelievers completely, no. We still have to pray for them and preach to them. But to avoid heeding the counsel of or closely affiliating with those who take delight in walking disobedience or doing wicked things, should be considered a blessing because we will be preventing ourselves from going through painful consequences.

Dear God, I put my trust in you and you alone. Father, may I never stray from the path you have set before me. May my life be an expression of your love, your holiness, and your righteousness. Lord, I pray for any of my friends, family, and colleagues who have not known you yet. Father, may you help me minister to them effectively so that they receive salvation. May they see the error in their ways, O Lord, and may their hearts be convicted of their sin. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

No one knew more than King Solomon, one of the richest men to ever live, how impossible it is for silver, gold, and all the things money can buy to satisfy one's soul. It is the very things that many cannot buy and that only God can give that are the most precious, most satisfying gifts of all.

Lord, you are the giver of true riches that money could never buy. Only you can give peace, joy, love, faith, and all of the fruits of the Spirit. And when we give up worldly possessions and comforts for the sake of advancing your Kingdom, we know you will reward us, either in this life or in the next. Help us to value the true and eternal riches more highly than the passing and deceitful riches of earth.

There are people amongst you who think you are wrong for believing in Jesus Christ – they may even accuse you of doing evil. Yet, as believers, we have the ability to change their opinions to glorify God when he returns by the lives we lead. How? By living such a good life filled with the love and teachings of Jesus that they may see we are different. We can do good deeds in the name of Jesus showing even those who doubt our faith that Jesus is real and has made a difference in the way we live our daily lives – we serve, we love, and we extend mercy.

Dear God, help me to live a life that is so radically different from those who do not know you that even they will glorify your name when you return. Give me opportunities to share your love with others and to serve wholeheartedly the people you have placed in my life. Allow me to extend mercy to those around me. Thank you for giving us a reason to love others, Father. Help my life to bring glory to your name, O Lord. In Jesus' name, amen.

In today's culture, we are bombarded with false messages – sometimes even from people we should be able to trust. Therefore, when we read about prophesy in the Bible, we may be hesitant to accept its truth. We should not fall into this misassumption! Prophesy comes from God – not from man. In the Old Testament, prophecy was given by men of God to speak his words and not their own. Even today, we should use discernment to avoid false prophets and to seek those who are clearly moved by the Holy Spirit and speaking God's will.

Dear God, how amazing you are to send your word to those who believe! We are just your creation, but you allow us to live with your Holy Spirit and your Holy Spirit moves us. Thank you for your true and good will, which is always beyond the power of man's will. Help me to live according to your will rather than my own. Give me wisdom to know the difference between those speaking according to your will and those who are false prophets. In Jesus' name, amen.
