*PRAYER THAT WORKS*
(you can receive answers to all your prayers)
Bishop Olu Babalola
5th November, 2024
🎚️ *Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16) KJV*
🎚️ *Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. (James 5:16) AMP*
There's a way to pray and attract answer from God as a Christian.
The scripture for today says that effectual, fervent and heartfelt prayers is what answers and works.
This means a prayer that will work must first be effectual, that is to say must be in accordance with the will of God. If you are asking God for contrary things, God will not answer you.
The Bible says in
*James 4:2 "Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts."*
Your request must be in line with his word, purpose and will.
1 John 5:14 says, *"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:"*
Secondly it must be fervent, that is to say it must be with zeal and fire in the heart. Read
Mark 11:23-24, it says, *"For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."*
Thirdly it must be a heartfelt one, that is to say it's not a mouthy matter but that wish is with a deep conviction that God answers prayers and that you have received the things you asked God for in your heart. The conviction must be strong enough to make you start taking some steps of faith like, testifying, preparing for the arrival, for example let say you asked for a vehicle, because of the conviction in your heart you will be able to see it with your eyes of faith, you will also make some move, like pricing, learning how to drive and so on. If it is a baby you asked for, you will start buying baby things in preparation for the arrival of your received baby.
This is applicable to whatever you shall ask God for.
Mark 11:23 says *"For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."*
Finally prayer that works must be a continued one, not a prayer of unbelief that manifest in saying one thing and doing the contrary. For example you can't say you received answer and at the same time be speaking or confessing contrary things. Some will say "I shall not die but live" when praying and also be saying " I'm dying" when talking. This is not correct.
If you can train yourself spiritually and build your faith up it is possible to ask and receive always as a child of God. Glory to God!
