THE STORY OF MOSES ABANOFU
POPULARLY KNOWN AS “DOGOOD”
From Humble Beginnings, Through Hardship and Failure, to Success, Family, Education and Service
INTRODUCTION
Moses Abanofu, popularly known as “Dogood,” was born on 4th April 1994 in Gbaregolor Federated, Ikise Quarter, into the family of Abusu and Akagba
His life is a story of humble beginnings, hardship, perseverance, faith, disappointment, entrepreneurship, success, family, education and service to humanity.
Moses did not begin life with wealth or extraordinary privileges. His journey was shaped by financial difficulties and many challenges. However, he refused to allow his circumstances to determine his future.
From a young boy in Gbaregolor to an entrepreneur, natural-health educator, husband, father and student of natural medicine, his journey demonstrates the importance of perseverance and continuous self-development.
CHAPTER ONE
*EARLY LIFE AND FAMILY*
Moses Abanofu was born on 4th April 1994 in Gbaregolor Federated, in Ikise Quarter, into the family of Abusu and Akagba.
He grew up in a humble environment where life was not always easy.
From an early age, he learned that success would require hard work, determination and faith.
Those early experiences became part of the foundation upon which he later built his life.
CHAPTER TWO
EDUCATIONAL JOURNEY
Moses began his primary education at Gbaregolor School 1, where he attended school between 2006 and 2009.
After completing his primary education, he proceeded to Gbaregolor Grammar School.
Later, he travelled to Warri to continue his secondary education at Essi College School 3.
In 2011, he sat for his WAEC examination.
After secondary school, however, financial difficulties prevented him from immediately continuing to higher education.
This was a painful period because he had dreams of further education, but the financial resources were not available.
Instead of giving up, Moses began looking for ways to survive.
CHAPTER THREE
THE YEARS OF STRUGGLE — 2012 TO 2015
From 2012 to 2015, Moses started going to the bush market to make a living.
Those years were difficult.
He experienced hardship and struggled to survive.
There were times when the future seemed uncertain, but he continued moving forward.
The experience taught him perseverance, patience, courage and the importance of working hard even when circumstances are difficult.
Looking back at those years, Moses believes that God eventually showed him mercy and began opening new doors in his life.
CHAPTER FOUR
BEGINNING THE NETWORK-MARKETING JOURNEY
Moses later joined Helping Hand International (H2I).
This became his introduction to network marketing.
Through H2I, he began learning about business, networking, communication, teamwork and personal development.
He eventually became a network marketer.
However, in 2017, H2I closed down.
Once again, Moses found himself facing disappointment.
But he did not allow the experience to completely stop him.
CHAPTER FIVE
JAMALIFE HELPERS GLOBAL
After H2I closed, Moses joined Jamalife Helpers Global.
He continued working hard and building his network.
His efforts brought him close to receiving a car award.
Unfortunately, in 2019, when he was only one month away from the car award, the company closed down.
The experience was painful.
Moses had worked hard, but the opportunity ended before he could achieve the reward he had been working toward.
At that point, he decided that he would not continue with network marketing.
CHAPTER SIX
XOXOLIFE AND THE REJECTION OF NRI
In 2020, Moses later joined XOXOLIFE.
During that same period, someone introduced him to Nature's Renaissance International (NRI).
Because of his previous experiences, Moses refused to join.
He told the person who invited him:
«“Nothing good can come out of Nigerian network marketing.”»
He therefore did not join NRI at that time.
He did not know that circumstances would later bring him back to the same organization.
CHAPTER SEVEN
THE TURNING POINT OF 2022
In 2022, a major turning point came.
The woman Moses intended to marry became seriously ill with an ulcer condition.
Concerned about her health, Moses began researching possible solutions.
During his research, he came across NRI Cumin Oil.
He ordered the product for her to use.
This experience caused him to take a new look at NRI.
The organization he had rejected in 2020 suddenly became an opportunity he was willing to investigate more seriously.
He researched the products and the business.
Eventually, he changed his mind.
In December 2022, Moses became a member of Nature's Renaissance International (NRI).
CHAPTER EIGHT
SUCCESS AND A NEW CHAPTER IN 2023
The year 2023 became another major milestone in Moses Abanofu's journey.
After years of hardship, business disappointments and uncertainty, Moses began experiencing greater success in his entrepreneurial journey.
The success gave him a new perspective on life.
He had moved from a period when he could not afford to continue his education after secondary school to a stage where he could begin thinking about returning to education and investing in his personal development.
This became particularly important to him because he had never forgotten the educational opportunity he lost after secondary school.
He decided that success should not only be about making money.
It should also be about education, knowledge, family, character and service.
CHAPTER NINE
MARRIAGE AND FAMILY
In 2023, Moses married the woman he had intended to marry.
The marriage marked an important new chapter in his personal life.
After years of struggle and uncertainty, he began building his own family.
Moses and his wife were blessed with sons and daughters.
Becoming a husband and father gave him another reason to work hard and pursue his dreams.
His family became part of the motivation behind his continued entrepreneurship, education and desire to build a better future.
For Moses, success was no longer only about himself.
It was also about creating a better future for his family and leaving a meaningful example for his children.
CHAPTER TEN
RETURNING TO HIGHER EDUCATION
One of the most important decisions Moses made after becoming successful was to return to education.
He had left secondary school years earlier without the financial ability to continue his studies.
However, he never abandoned his desire to learn.
After establishing himself professionally, he gained admission to study Natural Medicine at the College of Natural Medicine, Lagos.
This represented a major achievement in his personal journey.
The same young man who once could not afford to continue his education after secondary school was now able to return to school and pursue studies in the field that had become central to his professional life.
His decision demonstrated an important principle:
Success should create opportunities for learning, not an excuse to stop learning.
CHAPTER ELEVEN
DIPLOMA AND FURTHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Moses also obtained a Diploma associated with Obafemi Awolowo.
His educational journey therefore became an important part of his transformation.
He moved from being a young man whose education had been interrupted by financial hardship to someone who was deliberately investing in further education and professional development.
For Moses, education was not simply about obtaining certificates.
It was about gaining knowledge that could improve his ability to serve people and develop his work in natural medicine and health education.
CHAPTER TWELVE
DOGOOD HERBAL CLINIC
Moses' growing interest in natural medicine and wellness became closely connected with Dogood Herbal Clinic, also known as Dogood Herbal Clinic (Naturopathic Resources).
The clinic became a platform for health and wellness education and the promotion of natural and herbal products.
His public health activities have included discussions around:
- Natural medicine
- Herbal products
- Nutrition
- Healthy living
- Men's health
- Women's health
- Fertility awareness
- Reproductive health
- Lifestyle and wellness
Public material associated with Dogood Herbal Clinic dates back to at least 2023.

CHAPTER THIRTEEN
ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND BUSINESS MENTORSHIP

His journey through H2I, Jamalife Helpers Global, XOXOLIFE and NRI gave him experience of both the opportunities and challenges of network marketing.
He learned that business requires patience, communication, consistency and the ability to recover from disappointment.
Today, his entrepreneurial identity is connected with business development, mentorship, natural-health products and personal development.

CHAPTER FOURTEEN
FAITH
Faith has remained an important part of Moses' story.
He has publicly described himself as an evangelist, alongside his entrepreneurial and business activities.
When he looks back at his journey, he attributes many of the changes in his life to God's mercy and guidance.
From the years when he struggled financially to the opportunities that later came his way, Moses believes that his journey demonstrates the importance of faith, patience and perseverance.
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
COMMUNITY SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP
Moses Abanofu has also become involved in community and organizational activities.
He has identified himself with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), Delta State Command, in the position of Deputy Commandant (Admin).
His involvement includes administrative and organizational responsibilities, communication, coordination and community-oriented engagements.
This part of his life represents another aspect of his belief in service.

A young boy born in Gbaregolor Federated who began his education with limited resources.

A young man who completed secondary school and wrote WAEC in 2011.

A young man who entered the bush market because financial circumstances prevented him from continuing his education.

A man who entered network marketing, experienced company closures and continued searching for opportunities.

A man who married his wife in 2023.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

The name Dogood represents the identity Moses Abanofu has built around his work and philosophy.
It represents his desire to:

His life demonstrates that a person's beginning does not have to determine his destination.
The boy from Gbaregolor who could not immediately continue his education eventually returned to higher education.
The young man who struggled in the bush market became an entrepreneur.
The network marketer who experienced repeated business closures continued searching.
The man who once rejected NRI eventually became a member.
The struggling young man eventually became a husband and father.
And the man who once had limited educational opportunities became a student of natural medicine and continued investing in his education.

He was blessed with sons and daughters.
He also returned to education, gaining admission to study Natural Medicine at the College of Natural Medicine, Lagos, and later obtaining a Diploma associated with Obafemi Awolowo.
His journey continued through natural-health education, entrepreneurship, Dogood Herbal Clinic, business mentorship and community service.
His story is not a story of someone who never faced failure.
It is the story of someone who faced failure but refused to remain defeated.
It is the story of someone who started with little, struggled, learned, tried again, built a family, returned to education and continued developing himself.
