TOPIC: WHEN THE ENEMY WILL NOT LET GO
TEXT: JEREMIAH 50:33–34
Introduction
The passage reveals three important truths:
I:Captivity can be stubborn: “They refused to let them go.”
II:The oppressed may be unable to free themselves: Their captors “held them fast.”
III:No captor is stronger than the Redeemer: “Their Redeemer is strong.”
The enemy may resist your freedom, but he cannot prevail against your Redeemer. Jesus is stronger than every strongman, covenant, curse, addiction and inherited battle.

Why the Enemy May Refuse to Let Go Easily
1.When a person continues living in sin
Zechariah 3:1–5;Romans 6:16.
2.When there is an unbroken curse or continuing consequence. Genesis 49:3–4; Joshua 6:26
3.When a person has been dedicated to an idol or demonic power Exodus 20:3–5; 1 Corinthians 10:19–21.
4:When someone keeps an accursed or occult object Joshua 7:1, 10–13, 20–26.
5.When there is an unbroken covenant or ungodly bond. Isaiah 28:18; Exodus 23:32–33; Deuteronomy 7:2–4.
6.When a person carries a name associated with an idol or evil history. Genesis 17:5, 15; Genesis 32:27–28.
7. When the battle is foundational or inherited
Psalm 11:3; Lamentations 5:7; Exodus 20:5–6.
8.When a person is passive about prayer and spiritual growth. Matthew 26:40–41; Luke 18:1; Ephesians 6:10–18.
9:When freedom is not followed by spiritual occupation
Matthew 12:43–45; Luke 11:24–26.
10:When unforgiveness gives the enemy an advantage. Matthew 6:14–15; Matthew 18:34–35.
What You Must Do
1.Surrender completely to Jesus
James 4:7
2.Renounce every agreement with darkness. Reject sinful habits, ungodly covenants, occult practices, bitterness and every conscious participation in evil. Ephesians 4:27
3.Stand upon God’s Word. Hebrews 4:12
4.Pray persistently. Luke 18:1
5.Refuse every compromise
6.Take practical steps
7. Guard your freedom. Galatians 5:1
PRAYER POINTS
1:Every Red Sea standing between me and my promised land, divide now, in Jesus’ name!
2:Every power occupying my promised place or place of glory, in the name of Jesus, I uproot you by fire.
3:Anointing for complete liberation, come upon my life now!
4:Every prison door holding my calling, business, ministry, marriage or children, in the name of Jesus, open by fire.
5:Every power keeping me in captivity in the name of Jesus, loose me and let me go.
6:Every ancient chain holding me, my progress or destiny in my village , in the coven or under the river, in the name of Jesus, break!
7:Belly of the river in my village or in the place I was born, holding what belongs to me, hear the word of the lord, vomit it now by fire.
8:Belly of the earth or ancient graveyard, holding my glory or what belong to me, in the name of Jesus, release it now by fire.
9:Any covenant or dedication to a particular spirit or power keeping me in bo***ge, in the name of Jesus,break!
10:Every ancestral or witchcraft stronghold over my life, in the name of Jesus, break!
11:Powers that wants me to transfer my parents battles to me and my children, hear the word of the lord, I reject that godly inheritance, in the name of Jesus, die.
12:Every enemy or power that is determined to bury my testimony, you are a joker, die.
13:Demonic powers from my ancestral line or foundation, laying a claim or ownership of my life, hear the word of the lord, I belong to Jesus Christ my saviour, therefore in the name of Jesus,leave me alone.
14:My destiny, my destiny, my destiny,hear the word of the Lord: arise, break forth and fulfil your divine assignment in Jesus name.
15:By the power in the name of Jesus,I cross over from bo***ge into liberty, from delay into fulfilment and from mourning into celebration.
