PAST SINS/MISTAKES

It’s normal for past sins or mistakes to surface during prayer and hunt us, but don’t let them steal your peace.

St. Josemaría teaches us that when the "accuser" speaks, we shouldn't argue—we should run to our Blessed Mother. 🏃‍♂️💨

Like a child who falls and immediately seeks their mother’s embrace, we turn to Mary. She doesn’t reproach; she consoles and purifies.

Practical Resolution?
Whenever a past failure comes to mind, say: “Mary, Mother of mine, I entrust this to you.” Make an act of trust and move on. Don’t dwell. 🕊️

*Month of May*

As good children, with the holy Rosary in our hands, we gather in families, in the Church, on our way to and from work, while in traffic, while taking a walk...to pray the Rosary in honour of our Blessed mother.
..one decade here, another decade there... always praying and keeping Our Lady company each day...

As a good mother that she is, she draws us closer to God and she ensures that God's holy will will be done in every situation we may be in and especially in our lives.

Let us, as good children, make it a priority to pray the Holy Rosary more devotedly in this month of May.

Encountering difficulties of one type or another should not occasion surprise. “Beloved, when God tests you with the fire of tribulation, do not be surprised as if something strange were happening”, St Peter says (1 Pet 4:12). And St James the Apostle adds: “Consider yourselves happy indeed, my brethren, when you encounter trials of every sort” (Jas 1:2).

We can draw great good from sufferings and difficulties. These trials and difficulties can differ considerably. Some arise because of a materialist and anti-Christian environment which opposes Christ’s reign in the world — calumnies, professional discrimination, anti-Catholic fanaticism. On other occasions, Our Lord permits sickness, financial disaster, failures, absence of fruits in an apostolic enterprise after many efforts or lack of understanding.

In any case, we should understand in the depths of our hearts that God is very close to us. He helps us, with more graces, to mature in virtue and to bear fruit in the apostolate. On these occasions, God wants to purify us like gold in the furnace, cleansing our souls of its dross, leaving it more refined and valuable.

Pope Leo XIV greets an elderly woman during his visit to a nursing home in Saurimo, Angola, on April 20, 2026.

Pope Leo will leave Angola for Equatorial Guinea today, the last leg of this his trip.

Can we all offer a decade of the Holy Rosary for him today?
