The entirety of God's expectation concerning the people Israel, as they were about entering into the land of promise was encapsulated in a command: “...You shall love the Lord your God”.

Even now, this same command must be attended to in view of all that the Lord has done for us. In Him we have found life like an endless river, and it is to Him we will burn our incense in unwavering devotion.

If you are currently a secondary school student, teenager or young adult, do well to join us tomorrow Saturday by 2:00PM for a time of refreshing and renewal.

Devotion to the Lord is more than a spiritual activity. It is more than setting before your face the heart-piercing lyrics of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. It is more than a gathering of solemn brethren for prayers and fellowship. One may do any of these without devotion to the Lord, and yet devotion to the Lord includes them all.

It is not even by telling people about ourselves that we demonstrate our Christianity. Words are cheap. It is by costly, self-denying Christian practice that we show the reality of our faith.

The author of Hebrews in the twelfth chapter of his writing analogically compared the Christian life to a race.

He wasn't talking about a 100 yard or 100 meters dash. Instead, he was referring to a "Marathon". A race that required preparation, endurance and an unwavering focus till finish on the Author and Finisher of our faith --- Jesus Christ.

The Lighthouse as a Christian community and Teen Ministry, will be doing an expository study series this month around Christian life with the aim of recharging the runner and realigning focus, under the greenhouse of the Holy Scriptures and the Holy Ghost.

During the Panel discussion session, we received wisdom on how to keep the faith and maintain an uncompromising stand in times of adversity as young people in the Lord's army.

Anointed Inegbedion alongside Uzo Emmanuel were simply sound!
