The peace crusaders is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, setup in response to a growing need for peace education, which has become a hiatus in the initiative efforts in Africa, particularly, the challenges facing the peace building program of the niger delta region of Nigeria. The focus is peace advocacy, as a tool for transforming the unfavourable culture of violence prevalent in the r
egion. Our target is to reach out to a greater percentage of the youths in Africa, particularly those of the Niger Delta region, with the message of non violence as an alternative to conflict. History has revealed that both boys and girls took up arms and played vital soldiers, in the many destructive conflicts across Africa. Hence the peace crusaders is mandated by necessity to mobilize and teach the youths to be peacemakers in their neighborhood, so that as leaders of tomorrow, they would be conscious of those factors that challenges peace in our society. To build the youths with the requisite capacity, is born out of a conviction that getting them young and more inform on the issues of conflict prevention and peacemaking, would impact positively in enhancing political, social and infrastructural development via the society.
