TESTIMONY TIME 💃💃

Good day everyone, My name is Pst Paul Okosodo. I am the current pastor of CGMi Ekerede-urhobo branch. My testimony goes like this;

On Monday last week there was heavy downpour of rain in Ekerede-urhobo community. Whenever there's heavy rain water normally enters the church because of the swampy environment we are in but this time around it was worse. The water covered the chairs and the whole church was like a river because the drainage of the community was blocked. Other residents in the community were affected too.

So when I came to church the following Tuesday morning for service not aware of what had happened on Monday. I opened the church and behold, water everywhere, there was NEPA light and the fans and lights were switched on. Quickly, I just pull of my shoes and stepped into the water to put off the fans and lights. It didn't dawn on me that our extension socket was on and the water had covered it, there was a naked wire by our drum set which was also covered by water. So practically, the water is electrified already at that moment but I stepped in to off those things and out without being shocked by the electricity. This is just God. He has done it again.

TESTIMONY TIME 💃💃

Good day everyone, My name is Mrs Victoria Ejenavwo. I am a member of CGMi Ekerede-urhobo branch and I'm also the head usher too. My testimony goes like this;

I went for a burial of a family relative by water transport out of Warri last week. After everything, we were planning on coming back when I saw my uncle and I insisted on greeting him. We discussed so much and because of our discussion, I was delayed and then others waiting for me at the boat sent people to call me several times but my spirit didn't allow me to leave my uncle. So I told them to go, that I won't go. So they left without me. Few minutes later, while me and my uncle were still discussing, news came that the boat I that just left had a terrible accident of which everyone (13 people) in it died at spot. Praise the Lord!!!

TOPIC:- I have escaped.
TEXT:- Psalms 124:-1-8
DATE:- 25th Of June, 2023.

NOTES;
You being alive today is because God delivered you from the wickedness of this world. You still breathing this moment is because God made you escape the traps your enemies set for you. This world is full of wickedness and evil of which only God can deliver us from.

According to our text, Psalms 124, David said "All people of Israel should thank God because if it had not been him who was on our side, when the enemies came they would have swallowed us quick". The enemies are fighting day in and out, never tired and always planning evil. The fact that you don't see them doesn't mean that they are not there. If God open your eyes to see what your enemies did for your downfall and how he destroyed all of them, then you'll understand better. David was aware of the plans of the enemies against Israel and he also saw God helped them to escape all the traps, that was why he told them "if it had not been the lord". If God be for you, no one can be against you. Just as David said in Verse 8 that " our help is in the name of the lord, who made the heaven and earth". Fear not, they may plan but God will deliver you because He is broken that snare and scattered that trap they put out for you and your loved ones. So now you have escaped and you will always escape.

Hallelujah! You have escaped!

TOPIC:- Supernatural Help.
TEXT:- 2 kings 6:-24-29, Gen 30:-1-2 & Nahum 3:-4-5.
DATE:- 18th Of June, 2023.

NOTES;
Supernatural Help is a help that can be done by God alone. A man cannot bless you with what he does not have but God has everything we need because he is in the supply room to supply "ALL" your needs if you ask him. Whatever you are looking for is not in the hands of man but in the hands of God. The earlier you know this the better for you.

According to our text, 2kings 6, the king of Syria placed Samaria in bo***ge that there was hunger in the land. Because of this famine one wicked woman told another woman "let us eat your son today, then eat mine tomorrow" and the woman agreed. So they ate her son that day. On the other day the wicked woman hide her son and refused bringing him out. The other woman began to cry and cried to the king for help but the response of the king was "if God cannot help you, where will I help you from? How? She came to the king to seek help who is also a human being like her, who had his own problems and who was also affected by the same famine. He could not help her. Another text, Gen 30, Rachel told her husband "give me children or else I die". She taught children came from men but she got it wrong. Jacob quickly replied her "am I God who gives children?" What you need it's not in the hands of man no matter our physical it is but in God's hands. Get this understanding and the better for you.

In our first text, a king of Syria caused the famine, whoever is causing you pain in any ramification of life according to Nahum 3, God said he will help you by disgracing them shamefully.

SUNDAY CELEBRATION SERVICE...

TOPIC:- A man who experienced divine assistance and direction.
TEXT:- John 5:-1-8 (KJV & NIV)
DATE:- 11th Of June, 2023.

NOTES;
Today we will look at the life of a man God helped, the circumstances and what made it possible in his situation. Only God can help a man. Man can't help man because that man you're looking on to needs help too. Even if they help you, it can't be above their capability. Hence man's help is limited but God's help is limitless.

According to our text, there was a pool in Jerusalem called the Pool of Bethesda where people with different problems from various locations come, wait till the angel comes to stir the river and whoever goes in first is healed completely. For several years this continued and those who went in first were healed but there was a man who had always been there for 38years. He never made it to the river on time because someone else always went before him but he didn't give up. When Jesus saw him he knew that this man had suffered for a very long time, So he asked him "will you be made whole?" And he said "I have no Man to help me". This was the reason why he stayed so long in that condition because he was expecting man to help him but every man there was for himself. That man you may be looking on to needs help too. He got worse to the extent that they started calling this man "invalid" "impotent" because his healing was delayed. Don't look on man to help you in that situation look on to God, he has every solution you need. After that, Jesus told him "get up!, Carry your bed and walk". That was it, impotency of 38 years ended just like that. He didn't go into the pool but he received his healing. Call on God for help then he will touch men to meet you.

SUNDAY CELEBRATION SERVICE...

TOPIC:- Divine Help
TEXT:- Psalms 121:1-8 & Isaiah 41:8-14
DATE:- 4th Of June, 2023.

NOTES;
"Divine Help" simply means a help from God. It is a kind of help that no man can render other than God. Everyone needs help in one way or the other, that is why you shouldn't rely on any man for help because that man also needs help too. If a man helps you, it is because God has touched him to help you. Man can't help you, only God can because he has the solution to everyone's problem.

According to our text, Psalms 121, "King David said my help comes from God because he watches over me day and night, he keeps me from evil and preserves my soul while going out and coming in". All these things God does for us because he never sleeps or slumber. A man cannot do these things for you. Man has limit while helping you but God is limitless in helping his children. In our second text, Isaiah 41, God said by himself that "because you and I are seeds of Abraham his friend, I have chosen you". So therefore we should not be afraid or discouraged because he is with us, he is our God, he will strengthen, help and hold us close. He will also make all who are against us and contending with us ashamed, confounded and killed. Finally in V. 14, He said," I will help you for I'm your redeemer the Holy One. In this month of June, I see God helping you and your family. Amen

SUNDAY CELEBRATION SERVICE...

TOPIC:- Importances of Children.
TEXT:- Matt 19:12-16 & Psalm 127:3-5

NOTES;
Children are very important. Their presence brings alot of blessings and their absence causes unbearable pains.

According to our text, Matt 19:12-16, Jesus said some persons can't give birth to children because;
1) They were given birth to like that i.e they Inherited it
2) They were made barren by evil men and
3) They choose to remain barren for a reason.
He also said, don't drive children away, don't stop them from coming to me because they are the kingdom.

Some of the Importances of children are;
* They bring joy, laughter and happiness
*They speak truth
*They love regardlessly
*They don't keep malice
*They are the owners of the kingdom
*They are the future of their parents
*They are God's best gift.
*They stop shame from coming to their parents.
*They defend and care for their parents.

Happy children's day everyone

Psalm 127:3-5, "Don't you see that children are God's best gift? the fruit of the womb his generous legacy? Like a warrior's fistful of arrows are the children of a vigorous youth. Oh, how blessed are you parents, with your quivers full of children! Your enemies don't stand a chance against you; you'll sweep them right off your doorstep." (MBT)

SUNDAY CELEBRATION SERVICE...

TOPIC:- My Full-time has come.
TEXT:- Luke 1:36, 57-65
DATE:- 21st Of May, 2023.

NOTES;
Full-time means the appointed time, right time, and complete time. When your full-time has not come they will call you names, they will mock you, they will question your salvation.

According to our text, when Elizabeth's full-time came she delivered a son but before now she was called barren. The same neighbors who mocked and insulted her, came to rejoice with her because God has showed her great mercy. For your full-time to come is by the mercies of God. Until God shows mercy no man can really reach his full-time. Even after God gave her a son, the enemies were still planning to destroy the child to stop the joy in Elizabeth's heart but they failed. They wanted to name the young child after his father, Zachariah who was already deaf and dumb without his consent but the wife, Elizabeth opposed them and said "not so, he shall be called John". They told her "no one in this kindred have this name". Yes, the name was not among the kindred because for you to be well known, you must do something that is not common. After that, they made signs to the father about the issue. He wrote the same name, John. This left them no choice but to name the son John. Immediately, after this was done the same man who was deaf and dumb could speak and hear again. When your full-time comes, even when the enemies are fighting you keep winning. Your full-time has come....!!!!
