Sermon Title: Enjoying Unlimited Favour
_Key Texts: Psalm 102:13, Genesis 39:21, Exodus 3:21, Daniel 1:9_
Introduction: Favour is not fair, but it is available*
Life is not by struggle alone. Some people work hard and get little. Others do less and get much. The difference is called favour.
Favour is God causing men to go out of their way for you. It is divine endorsement that makes your case different. When God says, _“The time to favour her, yes, the set time, has come”_ Psalm 102:13, seasons change overnight.
Unlimited favour means no quota, no expiry date, and no tribal marks. Let’s see how to walk in it.
1. Understand the source: Favour flows from God, through men
_“But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.”_ Genesis 39:21
Joseph was a slave, then a prisoner. But he carried something prison could not lock up: God’s presence. Favour is not your charm. It is God’s presence on you that makes men prefer you.
Even in Egypt, God told Israel: _“I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians”_ Exodus 3:21. The same Egypt that enslaved them gave them gold when they were leaving.
Key: Stop chasing men. Chase God’s presence. When God is with you, men cannot be against you for long.
Application: Instead of “Who do I know?”, start asking “Does God know me there?” Psalm 1:6 says the Lord knows the way of the righteous.
2. Posture for favour: Humility, wisdom, and excellence*
_“Now God had brought Daniel into favour and goodwill with the prince of the eunuchs.”_ Daniel 1:9
Why Daniel? He was excellent, yet humble. He proposed an alternative diet with wisdom, not arrogance. Favour respects excellence but flees from pride.
Three postures that attract unlimited favour:
**Posture** **How it works** **Scripture**
**Humility** God gives grace to the humble. Men also lift the humble. James 4:6
**Excellence** Skill brings you before kings. Proverbs 22:29
**Wisdom** Wisdom makes your face shine and opens doors. Ecclesiastes 8:1
*Key*: You cannot pray for favour and then insult the secretary, dress shabbily for interviews, or deliver poor work. Favour rides on the wings of excellence.
*Application*: Upgrade your skill, guard your attitude, and let your work preach before you open your mouth.
3. Activate favour: Prayer, declarations, and seeds*
Favour is God’s will, but it is not automatic. You must contend for it.
1. *Prayer*: Jabez prayed, _“Oh that You would bless me indeed”_ 1 Chronicles 4:10. God granted his request. Favour answers to prayer.
2. *Declarations*: Job 22:28 says, _“You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you.”_ Start calling favour into your day. “I am surrounded with favour like a shield.”
3. *Seeds*: Cornelius gave alms and prayers, and God sent an angel to his house. Acts 10:4. Seeds of kindness, service, and giving provoke favour.
*Key*: Unlimited favour responds to spiritual transactions. What you release determines what you attract.
# # # *4. Protect your favour: Offence and dishonour block it*
Many lost favour because they mismanaged it. Saul lost favour through disobedience. Vashti lost it through dishonour. Michal lost it by despising David’s worship.
*Favour killers*:
1. *Ingratitude*: When you stop thanking God and men, favour stops flowing.
2. *Dishonour*: How you treat your pastor, parents, and bosses can open or close your heavens.
3. *Bitterness*: An offended heart repels helpers. No one enjoys blessing a bitter man.
*Application*: Keep a grateful heart. Honour all men. Forgive quickly. Favour lives where joy lives.
# # # *Closing: The Unlimited Favour Lifestyle*
From today, practice these four things daily:
1. *Carry God’s presence* through prayer and the Word.
2. *Carry excellence* into your work and relationships.
3. *Release declarations* of favour over your life every morning.
4. *Sow seeds* of kindness without keeping records.
*Prayer of Favour*:
_“Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You because I am Your child. Like Joseph, Daniel, and Esther, let Your favour distinguish me. Let my name be remembered for good in high places. Where others are denied, let me be accepted. Where others are tolerated, let me be celebrated. I receive grace for humility, excellence, and gratitude. From today, I enjoy unlimited favour, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”_
*Prophetic Declaration*: Before this month ends, you will receive a phone call that will say, “I just felt I should favour you.” Doors you did not knock will open. Help you did not apply for will locate you.
Go and walk in unlimited favour.
