A BUILDING WITHOUT A BLESSING IS JUST A MONUMENT TO A LEGACY THAT WILL EVENTUALLY FAIL.
True success is not measured by the height you reach alone, but by the generational platform of power and blessing you establish for your children to stand upon.
This is the reality of today's message: THE LABOUR & LEGACY OF GENERATIONAL GLORY, anchored in Matthew 9:35-38 and Proverbs 17:6. The mandate of glory is not a one-lifetime assignment; it is a trans-generational inheritance that must be intentionally built, sustained, and defended.
THE ASSIGNMENT IS IN TWO PARTS:
• COMMUNITY ASSIGNMENTS: Our corporate mandate to spread the manifest presence of God across the world.
• FAMILY RESPONSIBILITIES: Our domestic mandate to secure and transfer the lineage of blessing to our offspring.
PART 1: COMMUNITY ASSIGNMENT
1. God is all out to fill the entire earth with the knowledge of his glory (Numbers 14:21; Habakkuk 2:14).
The sovereign agenda of the Almighty is that His visible weight and presence must saturate every territory.
2. He designs to accomplish this plan through the glorious gospel of his only begotten son Jesus Christ:
• The Initiation: He sent Jesus Christ to undertake the work of saturating the earth with the knowledge of His glory (John 3:16; Luke 19:10; Acts 10:33; Matthew 9:35-36; John 9:1, 3-5; 5:17).
• The Restoration: He redeems, justifies, and completely restores fallen men and women back to their original glorious estate (Romans 3:23; 8:29-30).
• The Commission: He authorizes His redeemed to take the knowledge of His glory to the absolute ends of the world (Matthew 9:36-38; John 14:12-13; John 17:8, 18, 22-23; 20:21; Matthew 28:18-20).
• The Exchange: Doing God’s good work is actively trading glory for a higher dimension of glory (John 17:1-5; Galatians 6:7-9).
• The Legacy Principle: Earnestly and consistently doing Christ’s gospel good works in this world is the wisdom way to an everlasting legacy and a harvest of generational glory (Isaiah 60:1; Matthew 5:14-16; Proverbs 17:6; Psalm 128:6).
PART 2: FAMILY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. SIGNING IN FOR TRANS-GENERATIONAL LOOP OF GLORY (Proverbs 13:22; 17:6; Psalm 128:5-6; 112:1-9; Isaiah 61:8-9).
You must intentionally align your family line into a continuous cycle where the blessing flows unbroken from fathers to children.
2. GENERATIONAL SEED OF PARENTAL RESPECT:
Respect and honor your own parents unconditionally all your life, as this is a natural and divine law for a sustained loop of generational glory. Godly parents are the custodians of family glory, and your honor unlocks your access to it (Ephesians 6:1-4).
3. LABOR AND LEGACY OF SUSTAINED MORAL HERITAGE:
• Instill Virtues: Inculcate godly moral values and spiritual virtues in your next generation, including your grandchildren and great-grandchildren (Proverbs 13:22; 17:6; Psalm 128:5-6; comparison with Genesis 18:19; Deuteronomy 6:5-9).
• Pass the History: Let your children explicitly know how God has helped you to where you are now and what He expects of them (Deuteronomy 6:20-25).
4. GENERATIONAL BLESSING IMPARTATION BY OLDER MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY:
• Release the Blessing: Shield and impact your posterity continually with parental declarations (Genesis 1:26-28; Numbers 6:22-27; Genesis 28:1-4; 49:22-26).
• Refuse to Curse: Resist every temptation to curse your seed regardless of the provocation, because a curse destroys the potential and gifting of a generation (Genesis 49:3-4a).
Note: When a child is cursed, generations are cursed and stripped of their heritage until divine intervention occurs like it did for Reuben (Deuteronomy 33:1, 6).
5. GENERATIONAL HERITAGE OF DIVINE STEWARDSHIP OUT OF PURE LOVE AND THE FEAR OF GOD:
Make the active service of God an uncompromised family lifestyle and culture. Fear the Lord, love Him, and serve Him with everything you have, knowing that while there is dignity in civil labor, there is infinite glory in Christian labor (John 5:17, 19; Matthew 9:36-38; John 12:26; 17:8, 18, 22-24; comparison with Psalm 112:1-9).
6. WARFARE AGAINST GENERATIONAL GLORY DESTROYERS:
• INTERNAL FORCES: Secret sins, character flaws, pride, and immorality will erode your family glory from within (Judges 16:1-17).
• EXTERNAL/SPIRITUAL FACTORS: Foundational curses, witchcraft, evil altars, and malicious people must be aggressively demolished to preserve your heritage (Isaiah 42:8; Deuteronomy 7:5; 12:3).
KEYNOTES ON GLORY WARFARE
Understand that spiritual glory is dynamic on the battlefield; it can be affected in the following ways:
• Departed: It can leave a family due to compromise and sin (1 Samuel 4:21-22).
• Fallen Short or Increased: It can be depleted or heavily multiplied (Romans 3:23; Psalm 71:21; 18:35; 2 Samuel 22:36).
• Given to Another: It can be foolishly surrendered or transferred to idols (Isaiah 42:8).
• Turned to Shame: It can be actively converted into public disgrace (Psalm 4:2; Hosea 4:7).
• Stripped: It can be violently taken by force by the adversary (Job 19:9).
• Weighty or Eternal: It varies from light, temporal worldly glory to heavy, eternal glory (2 Corinthians 4:17).
• Resting or Lifted: It can hover securely upon you or be lifted off completely (1 Peter 4:14).
• Suffering for Glory: True glory often demands enduring trials before manifestation (1 Peter 1:11; 4:14).
• Divine Supply: It is the source from which all your needs are supplied and your inner man is fortified with might (Ephesians 3:16).
Do not build an earthly kingdom for your children while leaving their spiritual foundation in ruins. If your kids inherit your houses but inherit your curses, you have failed the test of generational legacy.
Rise up today, enforce family altars, honors your roots, and demolish every foundational token looking to trade your family's glory for shame. The lineage of blessing stops with you or flows through you—the choice is yours.
