Topic: THE POWER OF PRAISE
By: Apostle Micaiah Nice
Date: August 30th, 2026
KEY SCRIPTURE:
"But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel" - Psalm 22:3
"By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually" - Hebrews 13:15
Praise is not just singing. It’s a weapon.
Praise is not just a mood. It’s a lifestyle.
When you praise, God shows up.
Declare today: "I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth!"
3 TRUTHS ABOUT THE POWER OF PRAISE
1. GOD INHABITS YOUR PRAISE:
Psalm 22:3 "But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel."
When you praise, you create an atmosphere for God to dwell. Where God dwells, chains break.
2. PRAISE BRINGS DELIVERANCE:
Acts 16:25-26 "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God... and suddenly there was a great earthquake, and immediately all the doors were opened..."
Praise shifts atmospheres and opens prison doors.
3. PRAISE IS A SACRIFICE THAT PLEASES GOD:
Hebrews 13:15 "By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name."
Even when it hurts, even when you don’t feel like it, praise is worship that touches God’s heart.
BIBLICAL EXAMPLES: PEOPLE WHO USED PRAISE
- Jehoshaphat: Appointed singers and God caused the enemy to destroy themselves. 2 Chronicles 20:22
- David: Praised God and was delivered from all his fears. Psalm 34:1-4
- Jesus: Gave thanks before the miracle of feeding 5000. John 6:11
WARNING: DON'T LET COMPLAINT KILL YOUR PRAISE
Philippians 2:14 "Do all things without murmurings and disputings."
Complaining invites heaviness. Praise invites glory.
Guard your mouth. Choose thanksgiving over grumbling.
HOW TO LIVE A LIFE OF PRAISE DAILY
1. Start Your Day With Praise:
Psalm 5:3 "My voice shalt thou hear in the morning: O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up."
Set the tone of your day with worship.
2. Praise in the Midst of Problems:
Habakkuk 3:17-18 "Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation."
Praise by faith, not by feelings.
3. Use Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs:
Ephesians 5:19 "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord."
Let music keep your heart lifted.
4. Give Thanks Specifically:
Psalm 103:2 "Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits."
Name what God has done. Specific praise produces deeper faith.
5. Make Praise Your Lifestyle:
Psalm 34:1 "I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth."
In good times and bad times, keep praising.
ENCOURAGEMENT FOR TODAY
- If You Feel Heavy: Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Isaiah 61:3
- If You Need a Breakthrough: Enter into his gates with thanksgiving. Psalm 100:4
- If You Feel Forgotten: The LORD is near unto them that are of a broken heart. Psalm 34:18
CONCLUSION
Praise turns captivity around.
Praise invites God’s presence.
Praise confuses the enemy.
From today, let praise be the loudest sound in your life.
As you praise, God will fight for you.
PRAYER
Father, in the name of Jesus.
I thank You for Your goodness and mercy.
I choose to praise You at all times.
I offer You the sacrifice of praise from my heart.
Come and inhabit my praise today.
Break every chain. Open every door.
Let my life be a sweet aroma of worship to You.
I will bless the Lord, and His praise shall continually be in my mouth, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
