Mistakes Don’t Define You

Today's Scripture

…but the angel said, “Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead!... Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee.” Mark 16:6–7, NLT

TODAY'S WORD

When Jesus was on trial before His crucifixion, Peter denied that he knew Jesus three times. Peter was so bitterly disappointed in himself, so ashamed of being a coward. Soon after that, they crucified Jesus. Peter never had the chance to tell Him he was sorry. He had to live with the guilt. But when three women found Jesus’ tomb was empty, an angel told them to go tell His disciples and Peter that He was alive. The only disciple specifically pointed out was Peter. God was showing us, “I don’t define you by your mistakes. I don’t cancel your destiny because you’ve failed.” And fifty days later, it was Peter who gave the inaugural message that birthed the Church.

You may have made mistakes and failed, as Peter did, but you have to learn to forgive yourself. Quit remembering what God has forgiven and forgotten. His mercy is bigger than any mistake you’ve made. God is saying, “Get back in the game. You can still do what I called you to do.”

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that when I make mistakes and fail that Your mercy still covers me. Thank You that You forgive and forget my sins the moment that I ask You. I am saying good-bye to the guilt and the shame of the past and believing You have something awesome in my future. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Good morning and do have yourself a wonderful Thursday and may God bless you more abundantly!

What Comes After “Except”

Today's Scripture

Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.” 2 Kings 4:2, NIV

TODAY'S WORD

In 2 Kings 4, things were so bad for the poor widow that the creditors were coming to take her two sons as payment for her bills. When she said she had nothing at all in her house, she didn’t realize she already had what she needed for the miracle. The principle is: Your talents and resources may seem like not enough, but when you use what you have, God will multiply it.

Notice that she said she had nothing “except” a small jar of oil. God is going to use what comes after the “except.” “I have nothing except this small talent and a little training. I have nothing except a few connections.” God is going to take what you think is insignificant and turn it into something extraordinary. When you come to the end of what you can do, when you don’t have the resources and run out of options, you’re in the perfect position for God to show out in your life. God’s about to do something unusual, something you couldn’t make happen.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for the gifts, talents and resources that You have already given me. Thank You that You can take what seems like not enough and make it flow into abundance. I believe that You are going to multiply what I have and show out in my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Good morning and do have yourself a triumphant Wednesday and may God bless you richly!

When There’s No Way

Today's Scripture

Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Romans 4:19, NIV

TODAY'S WORD

When Abraham received God’s promise that he and Sarah would have a son, all the circumstances around him said, “Your body is dead, and so is Sarah’s womb. There’s no way. It’s never happened before.” But here’s the key: He wasn’t moved by what he saw. He didn’t consider his circumstances; he considered his God. The next verse says that Abraham grew strong in faith by giving praise to God. He kept himself in an attitude of faith, of praise, of thanksgiving, always considering how big God is, until his baby boy came.

You may have situations that look like they’ll never work out. You don’t see how your business will make it, how your health will improve, how your child will get back on course. If you only consider what you see, what you don’t have, or who’s against you, you’ll get discouraged and give up. Keep believing when you’re not seeing. Keep praising, keep giving thanks, keep declaring the promise, and He will make it happen.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that You are the Most High God, and Your power can turn impossible circumstances around and bring an abundance of favor. Thank You that I walk by faith and not by sight. I am going to keep believing, keep praising, and looking to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Good morning and do have yourself a miraculous Tuesday and may God bless you richly!

Sustaining Faith

Today's Scripture

“The LORD gives his own reward for doing good and for being loyal, and I refused to kill you even when the LORD placed you in my power, for you are the LORD’s anointed one.” 1 Samuel 26:23, NLT

TODAY'S WORD

David had been anointed to be the next king of Israel, had defeated Goliath, and served King Saul faithfully. But Saul tried to kill him, and David spent months in the desert, escaping Saul’s pursuit and living in caves. Yet when an opportunity came for David to kill Saul, he refused to touch God’s anointed, but rather let God be his vindicator. For some victories, we have to be good to people who are not being good to us, and we have to stay in faith when it’s unfair and doesn’t look like it’s ever going to work out.

There are two kinds of faith—delivering faith and sustaining faith. We love delivering faith—that’s when God instantly turns it around, and we defeat our problem. God suddenly shows out in our life. But most of the time we’re going to need sustaining faith. That’s when God takes us through the challenge, through the difficulty. He could change it in an instant, but if He did that, our faith would never grow and develop.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that I can trust You to take me through difficulties and unfair situations. Thank You that You are my vindicator and that You sustain my faith. I believe and declare that You are growing and developing my faith. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Good afternoon and do have yourself a blessed Monday and a sensational week ahead!

Today’s Evangelism Outreach was truly impactful!
By the grace of God, we were able to reach out to young boys, sharing the life-transforming Word of God with them and distributing our monthly newsletters.

We reminded them that God has a beautiful plan and glorious future for their lives — “For I know the plans I have for you…” (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also assured them of the unfailing love of Jesus Christ — “For God so loved the world…” (John 3:16), and that in Christ, they can become new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17).

They were encouraged to remember their Creator while they are still young and vibrant (Ecclesiastes 12:1), and to seek first the Kingdom of God above all else (Matthew 6:33).

At GEM Outreach, our goal is clear " preaching Christ and impacting lives".
Christ is our message.
Catching them young is the strategy.
Missions and Evangelism is the mandate.

We believe that every seed planted today will grow into mighty testimonies tomorrow. The harvest is plentiful, and we remain committed to raising a generation that knows, loves, and follows Christ wholeheartedly.

To God alone be all the glory!

Topic: Keep Believing for Your Loved Ones

Today's Scripture

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6, NKJV

TODAY'S WORD

You may have a child who’s off course. The good news is that you trained them up to know the Lord. That faith was deposited in their spirit. The promise is that in the end, they will not depart from it. It doesn’t say anything about the middle. They may take some wrong turns. It may not look like they’re never going to get back on track. Don’t get discouraged. God knows how to get their attention. You keep praying, keep encouraging, keep believing that something is happening. Your declaration should be, “They’re coming back. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

I’ve learned that everyone is on a journey. Where they are now is not where they’re going to be in ten years. Give them room to change. You can’t make them do what’s right. Don’t always try to correct them, give them a lesson, or threaten them. Sometimes you just have to love them. The Scripture says, “Love never fails.” You can love them back on track.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for Your promise of restoring a child who goes off course. Thank You that the seed of faith that was planted in their heart never dies and will blossom at some point. I declare that they are coming back and that together we will serve You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Good morning and do have yourself a wonderful Thursday and may God bless you more abundantly!

Topic: Handfuls on Purpose

Today’s Scripture

"And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the LORD your God."
(Deuteronomy 28:2, ESV)

TODAY'S WORD

Our God is a rewarder of those who seek Him! When you keep God first place and do your best to honor Him, Scripture says, “His blessings will chase you down and overtake you.” That means you will come into increase, promotion and good breaks that you didn’t necessarily deserve. That’s God rewarding you for walking in His ways.
We see this principle in the Old Testament with Ruth. She was out in the fields following behind the workers and gathering up the leftover wheat that they missed. She was trying to take care of her mother-in-law, Naomi, but they were barely surviving. One day, the owner of the fields told the workers to leave handfuls of wheat on purpose for Ruth. Ruth came into blessings that were simply dropped at her feet.

Every one of us can look back and see times where God has left us handfuls on purpose—something that we didn’t deserve or even ask for. We just stumbled into it. That’s a “handful on purpose.” I encourage you to always keep your expectancy up. Keep trusting God and obeying His voice because He is ready to bless you in unexpected ways today!

A Prayer for Today

"Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I trust You as my provider; You are the One who cares for me. I acknowledge You with my love and thank You for leaving me 'handfuls on purpose' today in Jesus’ name! Amen."

Good morning and do have yourself a triumphant Wednesday and may God bless you richly!
