‎MEMORY VERSE: Verse 3
‎
‎Daniel tells us that "they that turn many to righteousness shall shine "as the stars for ever and ever" in heaven.
‎
‎Every believer should work hard to turn many to righteousness so that he may shine as stars for ever and ever in heaven.
‎
‎This indicates that every soul we win contributes to our stars in heaven. I wonder how some people will be in heaven considering how many souls they have won!
‎
‎Every believer should work hard for his stars in heaven by being actively involved in evangelism.
‎
‎When you win a soul, follow him up to stand in righteousness knowing that. there will be stars for you only after that convert is turned to righteousness.
‎
‎Decide today to turn many to righteousness.

BIBLE READING: 1 COR. 12-13

THINGS TO NOTE: 13:3;
The value of love in the eyes of the LORD knows no bounds. Though you give your body to be burned, but have no love, it profits you nothing. I think so many people’s good works shall perish without God’s blessing because their works did not go with love.

Love envies not another person’s achievements. It cannot allow you to puff up in actions or words. When love flows in your life, happiness will always be your portion.

Love attracts a crowd around you and makes your handiwork marketable. Satan hates genuine love settling in you. Thus, it will stir up anger and bitterness in the heart of weak or unsanctified Christians and sinners to scare people and blessings away from them.

Have you noticed your husband, child, or member in perpetual hatred? Kneel and pray for God to plant LOVE in them.

BIBLE READING: 1 COR. 11

THINGS TO NOTE: 11:28-29;
“… for he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself…” It is never the intention of God to feed man with food or drink of damnation.

This is, why verse 28 warns that man should examine himself before he partakes in the holy food. Communion is not for everybody. Children in the church may not be able to examine themselves.

Unbelievers should not eat nor drink the holy food for they are guilty of sin already. Believers are to examine themselves lest secret sins present them unworthy for the holy table.

But note that if you escape participating in communion due to an uncleared heart or act, the same act can lead you to hellfire. Therefore, stay guiltless always.

BIBLE READING: 1 COR. 10

THINGS TO NOTE: 10:11;
“Now all these things happened into them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come”.

On the way to Canaan land, some Israelites practised idolatry and fornication, and twenty-three thousand of them died in one day (Vs. 7-8). They tempted God, and the serpent destroyed many of them (Vs. 9). They murmured, and many died (Vs. 10), etc.

These were practical ways God reacted against sin. As we journey towards heaven in this end time, just as the Israelites journeyed towards their Promised Land, “we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted” (Vs. 6). Yes, some of them made it to the Promised Land.

They also determined to overcome any setback on this journey to heaven.

BIBLE READING: 1 COR. 8-9

THINGS TO NOTE: 9:27;
No one should miss heaven by mistake or carelessness. Heaven and Hellfire are for eternity. Eternity means that from the creation of Adam till the New Heaven comes, there shall be no end.

Only children of perdition will miss heaven. Since Paul did not want to miss heaven, he said that he put his body under “subjection”. This means self-control, self-denial, mortifying the flesh and restraining his appetites.

The reasons for this control were “lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway”.

In our day, many one-time preachers who lacked self-control are now wallowing in immorality, traditionalism, fraudulent businesses, and other vices. God forbid that they die to hell. I wish such should repent today.

Let us daily subject ourselves to examination to ensure we are always fit for the kingdom.

BIBLE READING: I COR. 7

THINGS TO NOTE: 7:39;
Marriage is a sacred union. It is a journey of no return. Consciousness that only death can separate the couple if they must obey God should make them live positively without vexing each other with words or deeds.

Neither couple should kill each other directly or indirectly so as to be free from the law or bond of marriage. Husband should ensure he completes marital rites to avoid curses or death in the marriage.

Both couple should not cross the boundary of sharing their bed with outsider (immorality) to avoid death. This is where genuine love, humility and forgiveness help a lot in building the union. When both couple are born again, Christ makes life easy for them in everything.

May God keep you in your marriage till very old age together in Jesus name. Amen.

THINGS TO NOTE: 6:2-3;
It pays to be a born again believer. What God puts in you now has already positioned you as the head, the judge to this world and to the fallen angels. God lives in you. With these endowment, believers can handle any matter between brethren, couples, etc.

Though the world has certified judges, the scripture does not permit believers to settle their differences before the heathen judges. This is because our judgments are always aimed at clearing obstacles so that we don’t miss heaven and not for worldly pride, luxury, revenge or any ill-minded motives.

Since we do not gain in standing repeatedly in judgment, therefore believers must choose the option of forgiving and forgetting peoples’ offences over quarrel and trials.

Learn to settle your case before believers and the church.

BIBLE READING: 1 COR. 4-5

THINGS TO NOTE: 5:1;
“It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you ….” Immorality whether among the unmarried or married must not be welcome in the church of God. Strict discipline should be measured to doers of such sin.

Moreover, the church should not permit suspicious relationship and pairing of opposite s*x. If it was common that a brother could have his father’s wife, then a brother can have his blood sister if this sin is not adequately checked.

Parents should check opposite s*x siblings lest satan cheats them to fornicate. Youths, choristers, prayer band and fellowships should not demoralize the sanctity of God’s presence with stories of immorality in the church.

You remain a candidate of hell if you committed immorality and refuse to confess and repent. You can help your soul now.
