Today’s Mother’s Day celebration was marked with joy, gratitude, and spiritual reflection as members of the congregation gathered to honor mothers and women for their invaluable roles in the family and society.

The service began on a vibrant note with an uplifting session of praise and worship, as worshippers lifted their voices in thanksgiving and adoration. The atmosphere was further enriched by a powerful choir rendition that inspired the congregation and set the tone for the special celebration.

Delivering the message, Pastor Comfort Udotung spoke on the topic, “Women as Builders.”

Taking her text from Titus 2:1–5 and Proverbs 31:25–26,

she highlighted the important role of women in building strong homes and godly families. She encouraged women to embrace wisdom, strength, and dignity while serving as positive examples in society.

Pastor Udotung also urged mothers to remain steadfast in faith and committed to raising future generations with godly values. The celebration ended on a joyful note as mothers were appreciated for their sacrifices and dedication to family and the church.

In the account from the Gospel of Mark 2:1–12, the paralyzed man was surrounded by friends who refused to give up on him. Instead of discouraging him or leaving him in his condition, they carried him to Jesus Christ—even breaking through a roof just to make sure he received help. These were not passive or negative companions; they were intentional, faith-filled friends whose actions led to his healing.

Our minister further encouraged believers to trust in God during difficult times, live with integrity, and show compassion to others., and also reminded believers of their purpose and responsibilities in both their personal lives and their communities.

Finally beloved Choose friends who carry you closer to your purpose, not those who weaken your faith.

Honesty can be explained as a moral character of being truthful and sincere

The sermon highlighted honesty as a key virtue that brings both personal and spiritual benefits. It emphasized that honesty builds trust, strengthens relationships, and develops a good reputation. Living truthfully also brings inner peace by freeing individuals from fear and guilt.

Additionally, she emphasizes that honesty promotes integrity and wise decision-making. From a spiritual perspective, it aligns individuals with God’s will and attracts divine favor.

In conclusion, the sermon taught that despite its challenges, honesty leads to lasting peace, respect, and overall blessings.

Developing a burden to help others means:
• Being sensitive to people’s needs
• Showing genuine compassion
• Persisting even when it’s difficult
• Trusting God while helping others

The Canaanite woman is used as a case study as she
showed a deep burden by seeking help for her daughter with persistence, faith, and humility.

Finally beloved as believers we aught to care deeply, pray sincerely, and act consistently for others as this also portray Christ through us .

Today, Easter Sunday took a different turn as the entire diocese gathered to celebrate God traditionally. Different attires added style and colors to the service.

The highlight of the service included thanksgiving, prayers, praises, and the word for the day was delivered by our able diocese superintendent,

Apostle Isaac O. A. Bassey JP. With the theme “THE GRAVE IS EMPTY” and text taken from Matthew 28:1-10 and Ephesians 2:18-19, our minister further stated that the empty grave is a symbol of hope and gives us spiritual repairs and assurance of eternal life.

Finally, beloved, we would like you to make time to fellowship with us next Sunday and on Thursday; we would be glad to welcome you.
