OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL FOR TEENS
DATE: WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 18TH, 2026
THEME: UNDER PEER PRESSURE

AUTHOR: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE

MEMORISE: And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2

BIBLE READING: ROMANS 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

MESSAGE:
The pressure to conform to the world from peers can be tough, but staying true to your faith matters more than fitting in. The reason many young people succumb to negative peer pressure is that they love pleasing men other than God. I heard a young man call people who easily succumb to peer pressure 'bootlickers', which I find to be so degrading. You should be a God pleaser and stand firm in who He has made you to be.

Apostle Paul asked in Galatians 1:10, "For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ." He was saying that pleasing God is greater than following the crowd.

My dear child, do not give in to peer pressure of any kind to obtain favours from people, have a sense of public acceptance, or look good before men. I want you to always stand for the truth and ask God for the grace to overcome any societal pressure. Additionally, you must ensure that you choose friends who share your values and will help you grow spiritually. You were not created to please men but God, so focus on doing only the things that will make God proud while you live at peace with all men.

KEY POINT:
You were created to please God and not men.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
MARK 2, LEVITICUS 26-27

HYMN 4: REVIVE THY WORK, O LORD
1 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
Thy mighty arm make bare;
speak with the voice that wakes the dead,
and make Thy people hear.

Refrain:
Revive Thy work, O Lord,
while here to Thee we bow;
descend, O gracious Lord, descend!
O come and bless us now.

2 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
now let us thirst for Thee;
and hung'ring for the bread of life
may all our spirits be. [Refrain]

3 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
exalt Thy precious name;
and, by the Holy Ghost, our love
for Thee and Thine inflame. [Refrain]

4 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
give pow'r unto Thy word;
grant that Thy blessed gospel may
in living faith be heard. [Refrain]

5 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
and give refreshing show'rs;
the glory shall be all Thine own,
the blessing, Lord, be ours. [Refrain]

OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS DEVOTIONAL

DATE: TUESDAY FEBRUARY 17TH 2026

TOPIC: WALK WITH GOD

MEMORISE:
And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness. - (Genesis 15:6)

BIBLE READING: GENESIS 12:1-4 (KJV)

1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

MESSAGE:
When God called Abraham to leave his homeland and follow Him, Abraham obeyed without hesitation, even though he had no idea where he was going. He trusted God even when he didn't see the whole picture. Today, his faith in God is an example for us to follow.

In Yorubaland, a Christian is called 'Onigbagbo', meaning 'Person of faith'. This emphasises that our pilgrimage on earth is built on faith. God has called you to separate yourself from sin and walk with Him, just as He instructed Abraham. My dear child, don't hesitate to surrender all to God today so that you can walk with Him.

The essence of Christianity is that you spend eternity with God. To achieve this, sin and unrighteousness must be avoided. Consider Enoch, who was so holy that he walked with God and was taken away from this earth (Genesis 5:24). Beloved, you too can walk with God, as Enoch did. Ask Jesus to wash away your sins with His precious blood and grant you the grace to never return to them.

KEY POINT:
To walk with God, you need to be holy.

AUTHOR PASTOR E A ADEBOYE AND PASTOR MRS FOUL ADEBOYE

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: MARK 1:23-45, LEVITICUS 24-25

HYMNAL: 3 ALL TO JESUS I SURRENDER

1 All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.
Refrain:
I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

2 All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine. [Refrain]

3 All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me. [Refrain]

THEME: LIVING SACRIFICE

AUTHOR: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE

MEMORISE: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1

MESSAGE:
Lord, prepare me, A sanctuary Pure and Holy, Tried and true With thanksgiving, I'll be a living sanctuary for You

This is one of the songs I taught some teenagers in the 1990s, and its lyrics always resonate with me. Being a living sacrifice goes beyond attending church programmes; it means offering your entire life, including your actions, words, and thoughts, to God. For example, if your friend suggests that you engage in an act to make more money, but you, as a child of God, know that it's an ungodly act, you would refuse the suggestion because you are a living sacrifice.

As a living sacrifice, you have to surrender your actions to God daily. Dedicate each day of your life to Him, and seek His guidance when you want to make any decisions. I can assure you that, as you do this, you will experience the fulfilment that comes from being a living sacrifice.

REFLECTION:
Are you a living sacrifice?

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
MARK 1:1-22, LEVITICUS 22-23

HYMN 2: I AM THINE O LORD
1 I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
and it told Thy love to me;
but I long to rise in the arms of faith,
and be closer drawn to Thee.

Refrain:
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
to the cross where Thou hast died;
draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
to Thy precious, bleeding side.

2 Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
by the pow'r of grace divine;
let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
and my will be lost in Thine.
[Refrain]

3 O, the pure delight of a single hour
that before Thy throne I spend,
when I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
I commune as friend with friend! [Refrain]

4 There are depths of love that I cannot know
till I cross the narrow sea;
there are heights of joy that I may not reach
till I rest in peace with Thee. [Refrain]

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL FOR TEENS
DATE: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14TH, 2026
THEME: YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

AUTHOR: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE

MEMORISE: Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Galatians 6:7

BIBLE READING: HOSEA 10:11-12
11 And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.
12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

MESSAGE:
The choices you make today can shape the outcome of your tomorrow. Every action, whether good or bad, has consequences, and you will ultimately reap the results of what you sow. When you plant seeds of righteousness, love, and peace, you can expect to receive God's mercy and blessings in return. God delights in His children who invest in good deeds, kindness, and generosity, and a great harvest of blessings awaits them as a result.

Reaping what you sow goes beyond material rewards; it also applies to your relationships, attitudes, and spiritual growth. When you sow love, kindness, and honesty, you will experience the same in return. However, if you sow negativity, hatred, or selfishness, you will reap the consequences of those choices as well.

My dear child, I know that today is Valentine's Day and some boys and girls will sow seeds of unrighteousness through fornication, lying, drunkenness, et cetera. I implore you, don't be one of them; be intentional about sowing wisely in every area of your life. Nurture your relationship with God, and sow seeds of righteousness and good actions so that you can reap good harvests.

REFLECTION:
What kind of seeds will you sow from today?

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
MATTHEW 27:32-66, LEVITICUS 18-19

HYMN 17: GOD SENT HIS SON, THEY CALLED HIM JESUS
1 God sent His Son, they called him Jesus,
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died, to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.

Refrain:
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.

2 How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride, and joy he gives;
But sweeter still the calm assurance,
This child can face uncertain days because He lives.

3 And then one day I'll cross the river,
I'll fight live's final war with pain;
And then as death gives way to victory,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives.

THEME: THE REWARD OF HARD WORK

AUTHOR: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE

MEMORISE: In all labor there is profit, But idle chatter leads only to poverty. Proverbs 14:23

BIBLE READING: ECCLESIASTES 9:10-12
10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
12 For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

MESSAGE:
Today's Bible reading explains that time is fleeting and we must make the most of every opportunity by giving our best in all we do. Many teenagers dream of success and often talk about their ambitions; they confess them in faith and pray earnestly. However, without hard work, those dreams will remain unfulfilled. Confession and prayer must be accompanied by hard work to yield tangible results.

The reward of hard work goes beyond material wealth; it builds character, sharpens skills, and creates opportunities for greater achievements. Diligent people not only gain external success; they also gain inner satisfaction from knowing that they have done their best.

My dear child, whatever task you find yourself doing, whether in academics, learning a skill, or serving others, please do it wholeheartedly, as if you're working for God Himself. He sees your efforts and values your diligence, and He will reward you at the right time.

KEY POINT:
God rewards hard work.

THEME: UNDERSTANDING TITHING

AUTHOR: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE

MEMORISE: Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this," Says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10

BIBLE READING: GENESIS 14:18-20
18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

MESSAGE:
Tithing is a divine principle that involves setting aside a tenth of one's income as an offering to God. Some years ago, I publicly withdrew a message that wrongly stated that non-tithers will not make it to heaven. The truth is, tithing is not a qualification for salvation, but it is a key that unlocks divine blessings, as promised in today's memory verse. It is more than a financial obligation; it is an acknowledgement that God is your ultimate Source.

My dear child, do not hinder God's blessings in your life by ignoring this act of obedience. Each time you receive an income, whether from earnings, gifts, or any other increase, set aside one-tenth of it and give it to your local church, or the place where you receive spiritual nourishment. Your tithe helps sustain mission activities and outreaches to the needy and underprivileged, thereby making you a partner with God.

KEY POINT:
When you obey God through tithing, you make yourself a partner with Him.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
MATTHEW 26:55-75, LEVITICUS 14

HYMN 15: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
1 When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2 Not a burden we bear,
not a sorrow we share,
but our toil he doth richly repay;
not a grief or a loss,
not a frown or a cross,
but is blest if we trust and obey. [Refrain]

3 But we never can prove
the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
for the favor he shows,
for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey. [Refrain]

4 Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
or we'll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey. [Refrain]

THEME: WHEN PROMISES DELAY

AUTHOR: PASTOR E A Adeboye

MEMORISE: For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. Hebrews 10:36

BIBLE READING: GENESIS 15:1-6
1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
2 And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?
3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.
4 And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

MESSAGE:
It can be very challenging to remain steadfast in God, especially when His promises seem delayed. However, at such times, rest assured, because His promises never fail; they will surely come to pass. In today's Bible reading, Abraham trusted in God's word even when the promise was delayed, and his faith was counted to him as righteousness. This teaches us that believing in God's promises, even when they seem delayed, strengthens our faith and pleases God (Hebrews 11:6).

My dear child, are you struggling with repeated exam failures, battling an illness that seems unending, or believing God for a financial breakthrough for your family? I decree that the answer you have been waiting for will be released to you today, in Jesus' name. Amen!

If you have yet to surrender your life completely to Jesus Christ, I urge you to do so now. When you surrender your life completely to Him and truly delight yourself in Him, He will give you every desire in your heart according to His will (Psalm 37:4-5).

KEY POINT:
Delay is not denial. Keep believing in God.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
MATTHEW 26:20-54, LEVITICUS 13

HYMN 8: THROUGH THE LOVE OF GOD OUR SAVIOUR
1 Through the love of God our Saviour,
all will be well.
Free and changeless is his favour,
all, all is well.
Precious is the blood that healed us,
perfect is the grace that sealed us,
strong the hand stretched forth to shield us,
all must be well.

2 Though we pass through tribulation,
all will be well.
Ours is such a full salvation,
all, all is well.
Happy, still in God confiding,
fruitful, if in Christ abiding,
holy, through the Spirit’s guiding,
all must be well.

3 We expect a bright tomorrow,
all will be well.
Faith can sing through days of sorrow,
'All, all is well.'
On our Father’s love relying,
Jesus every need supplying,
in our living, in our dying,
all must be well.

THEME: GIVING BRINGS BLESSINGS

AUTHOR: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE

MEMORISE: Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." Luke 6:38

BIBLE READING: 2 CORINTHIANS 9:6-7
6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

MESSAGE:
Giving is an act of love and obedience that attracts God's blessings. It is more than sharing your money or material things with others; it also includes giving your time, talents, kindness, and encouragement.

Many people assume that giving is easy, but in reality, only a selfless and compassionate person can truly give. When you give, you reflect the nature of God who gave His most precious gift - Jesus Christ, for our salvation. Every time you bless others with your resources, you demonstrate God's love and make an impact that goes beyond material gain.

According to Proverbs 11:24, "There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty." This Bible passage shows that generosity leads to an increase, while withholding leads to lack. To enjoy the blessings that come from giving, you need to develop a lifestyle of giving and trusting in God's provision.

KEY POINT:
Giving unlocks divine blessings for both the giver and the receiver.

OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL FOR TEENS
DATE: MONDAY, FEBRUARY 9TH, 2026
THEME: THE PRAYER MODEL

AUTHOR: PASTOR E A ADEBOYE

MEMORISE: My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.
Psalm 5:3

BIBLE READING: MATTHEW 6:9-13
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

MESSAGE:
The Lord's Prayer is a beautiful example of how we should approach God in prayer. Jesus taught us to begin by acknowledging God's holiness and authority, worshipping Him as our Father. Then, we should express our desire for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done, aligning our hearts with His divine purpose. After this, we can present our daily needs before Him, seek His forgiveness while forgiving others, and ask for His guidance and protection from evil.

David demonstrated this in today's memory verse, where he prioritised prayer in the morning and directed his requests to God while anticipating answers. This teaches the importance of starting each day by seeking God's presence and direction. My dear child, let this be your daily practice. When you wake up, begin with thanksgiving, ask for forgiveness of sins, then present your needs to God, and seek His guidance. By following this prayer model, your prayers will be more meaningful and effective.

ACTION POINT:
For the next 15 minutes, pray according to the model you have just learnt.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
MATTHEW 25:31-46, LEVITICUS 7-9

HYMN 22: SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER
1 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
that calls me from a world of care,
and bids me at my Father's throne
make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
my soul has often found relief,
and oft escaped the tempter's snare
by thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

2 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
the joys I feel, the bliss I share
of those whose anxious spirits burn
with strong desires for thy return!
With such I hasten to the place
where God my Savior shows his face,
and gladly take my station there,
and wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

3 Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
thy wings shall my petition bear
to him whose truth and faithfulness
engage the waiting soul to bless.
And since he bids me seek his face,
believe his word, and trust his grace,
I'll cast on him my every care,
and wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
