Today, we celebrate a servant leader, mentor, and visionary President of the Akwa Ibom Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. May God continue to strengthen you, enlarge your influence, bless your family, and make your leadership a greater blessing to His Church.

A VISIT OF VISION, A MOMENT OF IMPACT!

Abak Church welcomed the distinguished President of the West-Central Africa Division, alongside the President and Executive Secretary of the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference. Their presence brought inspiration, encouragement, and a renewed sense of mission to the church family.

And there’s more! Abak is getting ready for a major Pathfinder moment Camporee This August, the town of Abak will host the Eastern Nigeria Union Conference Pathfinder Camporee, bringing together Pathfinders from across the Union for a season of adventure, spiritual growth, leadership, fellowship, and mission.

Abak is ready. The Pathfinders are ready. The Church is ready!

BUILT IN THE WORD, EMPOWERED FOR MISSION

Text: 2 Timothy 3:16–17

This theme reminds us that strong men are built by God’s Word. Scripture transforms, corrects, and equips us to stand firm in a changing world.

To be built in the Word is to let Scripture shape our lives—our character, choices, families, and leadership. A man rooted in God’s Word is not easily shaken.

But God builds us not only for ourselves. We are empowered for mission. What He places in us must reach others—our families, churches, workplaces, and communities.

As men of the Akwa Ibom Conference, let us leave not just inspired, but transformed and equipped. Rooted in the Word, filled with the Spirit, and ready for mission.

Built in the Word.

In December 1985, Pastor Johnson Adeniji drove from Calabar to Aba, to look for Bassey Udoh, the little boy Pastor's Kid he saw on TV participating in a high school debate. The boy had finished secondary school and without hope of further education had settled into life as a butcher in the abattoir at Aba.

Pastor Adeniji picked up the boy and drove him to Ilishan-Remo in Ogun State in January 1986 to begin training as a pastor.

Forty years later, in 2025, that little boy was elected president of the West-Central Africa Division.

Pastor Adeniji turned 100 years in May 2026 and what a joy to be visited by that little boy to commemorate his centenary.

Please celebrate Pa Adeniji - the man who saw tomorrow and offered himself as the vessel God used to create it.
