But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it.” I Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭34‬-‭35‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Despite David's tales of his bravery in the bush, King Saul was never interested in David's background; that is why he did not ask David 'who's son are you?'
The truth is that men are not interested in your (past) stories, but your (present) glory.
That is why in the same scripture says,"And as David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, Abner took him, and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand." - Vs. 57
(Note: this time David didn't meet Saul with another story, but with evidence in his hand)
"And Saul said to him, Whose son art thou, thou young man?" - Vs. 58

I pray for you: 'today marks the end of storytelling in your life. As you go forth this week, God will surely deliver into your hands a tangible prove that will make people become interested in who you are. And that your background that was written off before, the same people will send enquirers to know who's son / daughter you are.

FEAR NOT, GOD IS WITH YOU.
"I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right." -
Isaiah 45:19 (KJV)
God said to the house of Jacob, 'I did not call you to serve me in vain'.
I called you to serve me so that I can bless your water, bless your bread and keep you in safety.
This is also the inheritance of everyone who by faith serves the God of Jacob.
You cannot serve God and your safety is not guaranteed in any battle or situations that you may find yourself.
To every child of God, there is always a trying time, when the enemies, - afflictions of life will rise. But in such a time it is not for you to cry, a child of God should put his trust in God and hold on to Him by his words. He said, though these things will rise like a flood, I will use my spirit to raise up a standard against them, and you will not be consumed.
This is why I do not care what is before you to intimidate you, what is rising up against you; here is a guarantee for your safety, God says: “I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation (intimidation) you encounter. I will make all your enemies (afflictions) turn their backs and run." - Exodus 25:27
He said to Jeremiah 'fear not, for I am with you'. David in his affirmation said, 'though I walk through the valley of shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me,'. God is with you my dearly beloved.
The same God that was with David is still alive today.
He is the same yesterday today and forever.
I do not know who or what is troubling you, mocking or humiliating you. Take that battle to Him: "And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” - Psalms 50:15(ESV)

*PRAYER*
Oh Lord, I hand over my battles to You, fight for me and give me victory. In Jesus name. Amen!
