WHAT HONOUR MEANS

Honour means respect, while blessings flow through honour

Blessing that comes from honour

1. Long life (Ephesians 6:1-3)
2. wisdom(1king 3:7-12)
3. Welfare ( happiness, prosperity, peace)
4. God's love and protection (John 14:21)
5. Favour (Esther found favour before kings (Esther 2:17)

The ladder which Jacob saw when he escaped from Esau was Christ Jesus. In John 1, after Christ was revealed to the disciples which was Simon and Andrew, they called Nathaniel and he came . Jesus revealed himself to him and said, from now henceforth you Will see the heavens open and the angels descend and ascend upon the head of the son of man which implies that Christ was the ladder.
The fact that many other institution of accessing God through the prophets and seers were shades of Christ Jesus which is the Access to the throne of God, the access in which all that we need from God is obtained.

β€Ž KEY INSIGHTS FROM THE SERMON
β€Ž1. In times past, God had personal encounters with people.
β€Ž
β€Ž2. God has given many promises, but accessing them is often the challenge.
β€Ž
β€Ž3. Jacob encountered God in a dream of angels ascending and descending a ladder. God spoke to him and asked him to walk with him without fear.
β€Ž
β€Ž4.The ladder represented access to God.
β€Ž
β€Ž5. Through that encounter, new access was opened to Jacob in Christ.

β€Ž KEY INSIGHTS FROM THE SERMON
β€ŽIf Christ had not risen from the dead, the Church would have been ridiculed and without foundation. β€ŽMany religious leaders lived and died, but none rose again, Christ alone conquered death, proving His supremacy.

β€Ž BENEFITS OF THE RESURRECTION
β€Ž1. Jesus rose to grant us eternal life (John 11:25–27).
β€Ž2. His resurrection brings us into a new life.
β€Ž3. He lives to intercede on our behalf.
β€Ž4. Through Him, we receive a new birth (1 Peter 1:3).
β€Ž5. The resurrection gives us a fresh start and new beginning (2 Corinthians 5).
β€Ž6. We have victory over Satan (1 John 4:4–5).
β€Ž7. We are given authority over Satan (Luke 10:17–19).
β€Ž8. We receive power over Satan (Ephesians 1:18–23).

Today marked a sacred and unforgettable moment as new Elders were ushered into God’s vineyard, set apart for divine service.

With the pouring of oil, a symbol of consecration , they were commissioned , chosen to lead, to serve, and to shepherd God’s people with wisdom and grace. It was a moment filled with reverence, joy, and deep spiritual significance.

As hands were laid and prayers were lifted, heaven bore witness to this glorious transition. May their ministry be fruitful, their strength be renewed daily, and their lives continually reflect the glory of the One who has called them.
