𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿:

Next in the line of duty after our District Sunday School Leader is the Deputy Leader, Sis. Idongesit Umoh. Not only does she deputise, but also serves as a key player in the administration of Sunday School in Ata Inim District. As a fantastic team player, she holds the stead on behalf of the Leader and we are blessed to have her in the Sunday School Executive Council.

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆:

Sis. Emem Edimoh serves as the District Sunday School Secretary and in this role, she brings in her wealth of administrative experience and years of service as a Sunday School teacher. From taking notes of key decisions during teachers' meetings to offering innovative ideas that foster growth, she has proven herself as a dutiful servant in the kingdom of God.

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗿:

With focus, humility, dedication, and diligence as some of his identifying characteristics, Bro. Lord'swill Jonah takes up the position of the District Sunday School Treasurer. Whether it is at taking financial inventory of the movement or supervising in other delegated roles, Lord'swill is a strategic member of the District Sunday School EXCO and his contributions to the growth of the children's ministry are laudable.

We love and we celebrate all the members of our District Sunday School Executive Council.

Just like every other movement in our church, the Sunday School Movement in Ata Inim District has a leader and those at the helm of affairs.

With Elder (Dr) Aniefiok Akpan as the leader of the Movement, his primary duty is in the coordination of Sunday School Movement in all the assemblies of the district, ensuring that they are operating at the expected level.

In less than one year in office as the leader, we have seen the Sunday School Movement in Ata Inim District grow in great leaps and bounds, which is a testament to his sterling leadership qualities and his excellent relationship with the teachers and students.

So, as we mark the 10th annual rally this September, we are honoured to spotlight and celebrate this splendiferous man who leads the children's ministry in Ata Inim District, whom the Bible likens to the kingdom of God.

Topic: Look unto the Lord and He will deliver you.
Text was taken from the book of Psalms 34 vs 5.

Elder Aniekian used the story of Jesus Christ inside the boat with His disciples to explain what it means by looking unto someone.

He also said as long as we're Christians following Him (Jesus) we should always expect temptations.

He said that temptation comes to test our faith in Christ, temptation comes to see if we'll fall or lost our hope in Christ.

He used the story of Jesus how He was tempted by Satan after fasting for forty days and forty night.

Elder Aniekian charge the church to look unto Jesus... People who look unto Jesus in the Bible where.....
* The woman with the issue of blood
* Daniel in the lion's den
* Joseph the dreamer etc
Elder Aniekian said that there's time for everything,he said those who looked unto Him... their faces where not ashamed..

He concluded that if we looked unto Jesus,every stumbling block, difficulties, trials and temptation in our ways will be over in Jesus Name Amen!

Topic: The second coming of Christ
Text: John 14: 1 - 13; Matt.24:1-38
Student references: Heb. 9:28; 1 thess. 3:13; 1 Tim. 6:14; 2 Tim. 1:10; 1 thess. 5:23
Memory verse: John 14:3 'And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am, there you may be also."

INTRODUCTION
The meaning of the second coming of Christ, prophecies of His coming, the time and manners of His second coming were discussed in our previous lesson. in this lesson, we shall consider the purpose, and the implications of His second coming.

SUBJECT MATTER
Purposes of Christ's second coming
1. To complete the salvation of the saints - Heb. 9 : 28.
2. To be glorified in the saints 2 thess. 1:10
3. To bring to light the hidden things of darkness - 1 Cor. 4:5
4. To judge both the saints and the unregenerate - 2 Tim. 4:1
5. To reign forever - Rev. 11:15
6. To receive us to be with Himself - John 14:3
7. To destroy death - 1 Cor. 15:25-26
8. To fulfill His promises - John 14:3

CONCLUSION
Believe have an intense longing for the Lord's return to take them to be with him forever. A distinctive mark of God's people is that they long for Jesus. They do not feel at home in this world and are looking forward to bring with Him in their heavenly home - Heb. 11:13 - 16. It is true that Jesus Christ is coming back. Repent Now.

Today's Lesson
TOPIC: The Second Coming of Christ II
TEXTS: Acts 1:10-11
MEMORY VERSE: Rev. 1:7- "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him..."

INTRODUCTION: As we have learnt previously, many prophets and saints of Old Testament foretold the second coming of Christ. Some of them including Jesus Himself spoke about the way He will come back but none of them told us when Christ shall come again. In this lesson, we will study the manners of His coming again.

SUBJECT MATTER
A. Time of Christ's Second Coming
This is a secret that only the Lord knows. Matt. 24:36. Jesus Christ as human does not know that date but God certainly knows the exact moment when it will occur.
B. The Manner of Christ's Second Coming
1) It will be "this same Jesus", not another - Acts 1:11
2) He will come personally and visibly - John 14:3
3) "In like manner" as He went away into heaven in bodily form Acts 1:11
4) Unexpectedly, like a thief in the night - Matt. 25:1-3
5) Suddenly -Mark 13:36
6) Quickly - Rev. 22:7, 12
7) In great glory, even the glory of His Father - Matt. 16:27
8) With angelic hosts -Matt. 25:31
9) Inflaming fire - II Thess. 1:7-10
10) He will return for and with His saints - I Thess. 4:15-18

CONCLUSION
Since it is eminent that Jesus shall come to the earth the second time and not even Himself knows the time of His coming, we should always be ready. How prepared are you for this glorious event?
