YEAR 2024 IS DECLARED AS OUR "YEAR OF GODLY ABUNDANCE"
From the table of our G.O
"I declare 2024 as the year of ‘GODLY ABUNDANCE’ for you. Having “begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” God is willing to make 2024 a year of abundance in your life; family; business; trade; investments; job; education etc. as you glorify His name. He says “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat….” In spite of your financial situation, God invites you to prosper by His favor. When “God is for us,” “no weapon formed against us shall prosper.” Impossibilities will turn to possibilities before your eyes. God says “be fruitful and multiply” "abundantly" in 2024. Let it be so for you in the name of Jesus Christ (Ref. 1 Pet. 1:3-5; Isa. 55:1; Mtt. 17:20; Rom. 8:31 Isa. 54:17; Gen. 9:7; Psa. 1:3)."

WHY YOU NEED TO CROSSOVER TO ANOTHER YEAR IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD

Job 38:12-13:

"Have you commanded the morning since your days began,
and caused the dawn to know its place,
that it might take hold of the ends of the earth,
and the wicked be shaken out of it?"

Morning standings as the beginning of a new era and one needs to speak to it and make declaration about it and rebuke whatsoever is not of God that the evil ones have planted during the night from coming to fulfilment

There are verses in the Bible that shows the authority and power of believers to pray for and declare blessings over their lives and circumstances. Here are a few verses that highlight this:

1. Mark 11:23-24
"Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

2. Matthew 21:21-22
"Jesus replied, 'Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, "Go, throw yourself into the sea," and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.'"

3. Proverbs 18:21
"The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit."

4. James 5:16 :
"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."

5. 1 John 5:14-15
"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him."

There are lots of things that take place in the beginning of a new year. There are incantations, declarations, sacrifices that men of the underworld do at end/beginning of every year that needs to be neutralized. It takes men who has deeper understanding of spiritual things to understand that Evil men reinforce themselves at the beginning of each New year.
So you don't have to step into a new day or a new year unbothered about the plots and devices of the enemies if not you might just be hit by them. Remember that ignorance is not an excuse when it comes to spiritual matters.

Job 38:12-13, is part of a larger section in the Book of Job where God is speaking to Job and questioning him about his understanding of the world and its workings. In these verses, God is emphasizing His power and authority over creation, specifically mentioning the control He has over the morning and the dawn.

Why one needs to crossover to another year in the presence of God, it seems to imply a desire for spiritual growth, renewal, or seeking a deeper connection with God as a new year begins. Crossing over to another year can symbolize a fresh start, a time for reflection, setting new goals, and seeking God's guidance for the future.

In many religious and spiritual traditions, the transition to a new year is seen as an opportunity for individuals to assess their lives, seek forgiveness for past mistakes, express gratitude for blessings, and renew their commitment to living in accordance with their faith.

Being in the presence of God during this transition can provide a sense of spiritual support, guidance, and comfort. It can also be a time for prayer, meditation, and reflection on one's relationship with God and how to align one's actions with His will in the coming year.

The choice to seek the presence of God during the crossover to another year is a personal one, driven by an individual's faith, spirituality, and their desire for a deeper connection with the divine.

LESSON FOR SUNDAY DECEMBER 31, 2023

TOPIC: NO TRUE WORSHIP WITHOUT A PRICE TO PAY

AIM: That we may learn to go beyond self in worship.

TEXT: 2Samuel 24:24, 25.

MEMORY VERSE: But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him-John 4:23.

INTRODUCTION:

It is only when we begin to worship that we start to grow; actually, the happiest man on earth is the one that have learnt the nitty-gritty of worship. There is no true worship without a price to pay. True worshippers are prepared to give up everything they have to God. Is it not written that we should 'honour the Lord with our substance'?

In the days when Kings go to war, David was idle, enjoying his rest, and so was tempted by the enemy to the extent of numbering the people that are innumerable (Gen. 13: 16; 15:5; 32:12). This very act of David demands that sacrifice be made to save the dying Israel from the anger of God (1Chro. 21:1, 18). There is every indication that Israel was ready to do anything to pacify the anger of God. David himself was not surprised to see a person who is willing to offer his inherited land as a space for sacrifice, but David reasoned: "will this not be dishonourable to God, as if I thought Him not worthy of a costly sacrifice"? "How shall I claim to be worshipping God without committing my Substance"? "Is it proper for someone else to give to my God while I stand aloof and watch?

Unfortunately, we have today, people who question why they should give to God. If truly we love growth, this lesson will teach, rebuke, correct, and train us in righteousness; and this is to make us proficient in life and good works (2Tim.3:16).

LESSON PRESENTATIONS:

1. EMPTY WORSHIP: Mal. 1:13; Mark 7:7.

2. THE PRICE OF A TRUE WORSHIP: 2Sam. 24:21-25,

1. EMPTY WORSHIP: Mal. 1:13: Mark 7:7.

The word 'worship' is defined as reverence offered to a divine being or supernatural power. In this instance, worship is a reverence accorded to God.

So many people claim to be worshippers of God, but in reality they lack the real qualities of true worshippers: God had said, "in vain do they worship me... (Mark 7:7).

It is noteworthy, that if we claim to be reverencing God,
without the acts of expressing such reverence, it amounts to an empty worship (Isaiah 43:22). Unlike David, empty worshippers would love to worship without giving; get paid without working for it, and they would want to attain greatness without sacrifice.

Had Araunah's noble offer been accepted by David, it would not have been David's sacrifice, but Araunah's; and its purpose would not have been achieved at the end (turning away the displeasure of the Most High). Empty worshippers are careless in things they are to be careful and careful in things they should care less about. The scripture said, we should offer unto God our bodies, which is our reasonable service (Rom. 12:1).

2. THE PRICE OF A TRUE WORSHIP: 2Sam. 24:21-25.

Is there a price to true worship? Worship is rewarding only when it is done with the sacrifice that make up a true worship. True Worship renews the spirit as sleep renews the body; we cannot claim to love God when there is nothing to show for it. Every true worshiper understands what it takes.

Consider that Araunah made up his mind to render his
threshing floor free to David. And the scripture said, he did so like a King would do to a king (2Sam. 24:23).

While some people chose to wait for an established king to come and pay the price of true worship, there are very few believers that heaven has declared kings because of their willingness to sacrifice everything. Araunah gave with royal bigheartedness; he was liberal in his offers to God's service, and for the common good of God's people. You do not have to be rich to be generous. If he has the spirit of true worship,
a pauper can give like a prince. Right from the foundation of the earth, there has been sacrifice (Rev. 13:8). And to excel on earth, one must learn the art of Sacrifice (giving). Abel generously offered to God the best he had, and the scripture noted that "...he obtained..." (Gen. 4:4; Heb. 11:4). Jesus sacrificed Himself for the good of humanity, and the scripture recorded that "...he was given a greater name..." (Philip. 2:5-9).

True worship demands your: (a) Self (b) Time (c) Finance and other Resources, and no good thing will be hidden from you (Gen. 18:17).

It is what we give, not what we take, that brings about increase and abundance (Gen. 22:12, 15-18).

CONCLUSION:

Ultimately true worshippers are people who are so thirsty for more of God that they offer their bodies as living sacrifices to Him; their song is: "Take My Life and Let it Be..."

Selfishness is the greatest curse of the human race; and to be selfish against God is just a lifestyle so many Christians have embraced these days; their song is: "Take
my life and let me be". If your worship costs you nothing, you did a worship that is worth nothing.

TEST YOURSELF:

1. Is there a true worship?

2. What is the price of a true worship?

LESSON FOR SUNDAY DECEMBER 24TH, 2023

TOPIC: DAVID REIGNS OVERALL ISRAEL

AIM: What God said concerning you will come to pass. Only wait on Him by faith.

TEXT: 2Sam. 5:1-5.

MEMORY VERSE: "So all the elders of Israel came to the King to Hebron: and King David made a league with them in Hebron, before the Lord, and they anointed David King over Israel"- 2Sam. 5:3.

INTRODUCTION:

The period of David's reign in Israel was a highly significant period of Israel's history. The Jews speak of David's reign as the golden era of peace and prosperity when they conquered most of the land God had promised them. Even now, the Jews long for a renewal of the days when a king reigned over a united and victorious nation,

The people of Israel demanded a king from God, through Samuel so that they would be like other nations who had kings to govern and lead them to wars. Before this time, they were led by priests and prophets. This displeased Samuel greatly. because the people rejected God's direct leadership. God told Samuel, under His permissive will, anyway, to allow them to choose a King, Saul was the people's choice, but God later rejected him. This time, God's own choice of a King, David, had ascended to reign over the whole of Israel!

LESSON PRESENTATIONS:

1. GOD'S OWN CHOSEN KING REIGNS: 2Sam. 5:1-5.

2. THE KING OF KINGS WILL REIGN FOR EVER: Isaiah 9:6-7; 1 Tim. 6:14-15; 1Tim, 6:15; Rev.19:15,16.

1. GOD'S OWN CHOSEN KING REIGNS: 2Sam. 5:1-5

The people said: "give us a King so that we will be like other nations (1Sam. 8:4,5,19-22) and he will go out and come in among us. They chose Saul. At last God rejected him (1Sam. 13:13,14).

Now God's own chosen King, David reigns. It is a joyful thing in Israel, because every right thinking person in Israel looked out for the time when God's own chosen king would reign. Providence had at last perfected what He started, bringing David to be the King of all israel. It would be a regime of righteousness, marked by peace and prosperity because when the righteous is in office, the people rejoice (Isaiah 32:1).

2. THE KING OF KINGS WILL REIGN FOR EVER: Isaiah 9:6-7; 1 Tim. 6:14-15, 1 Tim. 6:15. Rev. 19:15,16.

A King would be born in Bethlehem, as written by the prophets. He was to be called the Son of David, the Son of God and the Son of man. Many prophecies had gone on Him before He was born. The government shall be upon His shoulder. He would be called the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Mighty God, the counselor, the prince of peace, His reign will have no end. He will rule for ever.

Alleluiah! Christ is born is Bethlehem. He is Emmanuel,
God Himself has come to dwell among us. This is what we remember at Christmas He is the Saviour of the whole world (Matt. 1:21). He has manifested to destroy all the works of the devil. He will sit on the throne of His father David forever as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords (1Tim. 6:15) Ps. 10:16; Jer. 10:10 and reign over the whole world! Oh! Yes, over the whole universe, in the Heavenly Jerusalem.

CONCLUSION:

Let us coincide by taking a look at the Davidic covenant (2Sam. 7:8-17). This covenant upon which the glorious Kingdom of Christ "the seed of David according to the flesh" is to be founded, secures the following

1. ADavidic "house"; that is posterity, family.

2. A"throne"; that is a royal authority.

3. A Kingdom; that is a sphere of rule.

4. In perpetuity; forever".

And this fourfold covenant has but one condition: disobedience in the David family is to be visited with chastisement but not to the abrogation of the covenant. Read Luke 1:31-33; Acts 2:29- 32; 15:14-17. Christ with His crown of thorns is King.

TEST YOURSELF:

1. Who is God's own chosen King in Israel?

2. Who is the King of Kings?

3. How long would His reign last?

4. Would He reign only in Israel?
