FAMILY WEEK SERVICE HIGHLIGHT

Sunday’s Family Week service was a refreshing and impactful time in God’s presence. The message was delivered by Rev. Samuel Warri, who emphasized that the family of God is built on unity and understanding of roles.

He taught that just as the Trinity functions without conflict, every family must understand their roles to avoid strife. God must remain at the center of every marriage, love must bind hearts together, and effective communication both verbal and non-verbal is key to resolving misunderstandings. He stressed that no one stands alone in God, for He is the Lord of all.

The service was further beautified with a joyful child dedication of Miss Unique, committing her life into God’s hands amid prayers and celebration.
It was indeed a blessed and family-strengthening service.

3RD SUNDAY OF FEBRUARY

Theme: Breaking Barriers of Access to Help
Text: Mark 2:1–12; Romans 3:23; 1 Kings 1:1–3

INTRODUCTION

Today, we reflect on a powerful truth: humanity is helpless without divine help. No matter our strength, position, or wisdom, there are situations in life that only God can resolve.

Romans 3:23 reminds us that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. This is the foundation of man’s helplessness sin separates us from God and limits our access to divine help.

THREE POSSIBLE CAUSES OF SICKNESS:

From scripture and life experience, sickness can come from different sources:
1. Natural Causes – Physical weakness, aging, or medical conditions (1 Kings 1:1–3 shows King David in physical weakness).

2. Spiritual Attack – Certain afflictions may have spiritual roots.

3. Sin – At times, disobedience opens doors to affliction (Romans 3:23).

However, not every sickness is caused by sin but sin remains the greatest sickness of mankind.

THE CASE IN MARK 2:1–12

The paralytic man could not reach Jesus by himself. Barriers stood in his way — the crowd, his condition, and limitations.

But:

- He had helpers.
- They broke the roof.
- They refused to accept “no access.”

When Jesus saw their faith, He first addressed the root problem: “Your sins are forgiven.”

Before healing the body, Jesus healed the soul.
Breaking Barriers to Access Help

Many today are stuck because:

- Pride prevents them from seeking help.
- Sin blocks their spiritual access.
- Fear keeps them from pressing forward.
- Lack of faith limits their breakthrough.

To access divine help:

1. Recognize your helplessness.
2. Remove the barrier of sin through repentance.
3. Exercise faith.
4. Surround yourself with destiny helpers.
5. Press beyond limitations.

THE SOLUTION

Jesus is our rightful Helper.
He has the right diagnosis and the right solution.

Man may treat symptoms, but Jesus addresses the root.
He forgives, restores, heals, and lifts.

First Sunday of February Message Recap – AG Akpan Essien

On the first Sunday of February at AG Akpan Essien, we were richly blessed by the ministration of Rev. Dr. Usen Ekong. Anchored on John 4:12,

the message was titled “What Will You Be Remembered For?”

The man of God challenged the church to reflect deeply on legacy not fame, not titles, but the impact of a life yielded to God. Through heartfelt testimonies, he shared how God has used him for His divine purpose: lives transformed, the sick healed, and God’s power revealed. These testimonies were not shared to exalt a man, but to magnify God and affirm a simple truth when God calls you, He will show Himself through you.

We were reminded that God is still at work today, just as He was in Scripture. Our responsibility is obedience, faith, and total surrender. When we make ourselves available, God makes Himself visible.
The message called us to live intentionally, to serve faithfully, and to ensure that when our stories are told, they reflect God’s glory. May our lives answer this

question clearly: we will be remembered as vessels God used for His purpose.

SUNDAY SERVICE HIGHLIGHT – PRAYER CONVOCATION GRAND FINALE

Sunday’s service was a powerful and unforgettable climax to the Prayer Convocation, marked by an atmosphere of deep worship and spiritual intensity. The service featured different ministers ministering in music, each carrying distinct grace expressions that ushered the congregation into a strong dimension of God’s presence.

The Word session was delivered by Rev. Mfon Effiong, with the life-transforming topic:

“Supernatural Grace for Generational Impact”
Text: 2 Kings 2:1–15

Using the prophetic transition between Elijah and Elisha, the speaker taught profoundly on the mystery, power, and price of grace.

Key Highlights from the Message

1. Grace is unmerited favour, and beyond that, it is divine assistance working in human affairs. Grace helps a man achieve what strength and skill alone cannot.
2. Grace is God’s ability functioning in human inability. Where human capacity ends, grace begins.
3. Grace is what makes the difference between one pastor and another. It is not title, calling, or effort alone, but the measure of grace at work.
4. Grace qualifies the unqualified, but it also exposes a man to attacks. The level of grace you carry determines the level of opposition you face. Higher grace attracts higher contention.
5. Grace covers your errors and colours your efforts. What would normally fail becomes acceptable and impactful when grace is present.
6. Grace is not by age; it is by price. Grace is costly. It responds to sacrifice, hunger, alignment, and pursuit just as Elisha paid the price to receive a double portion.

The message concluded with intense prayers, sealing the Prayer Convocation with a fresh cry for supernatural grace that transcends individuals and impacts generations.

It was truly a defining service one that reawakened hunger for grace, responsibility, and lasting spiritual legacy.

MESSAGE TITLE: IT MUST COME TO PASS

Minister: Rev. Mfon Effiong, PhD
Venue: AG Church, Akpan Essien Street
Programme: 1-Month prayer conference
Scriptures: Zechariah 9:9; Mark 11:1

Every man born of a woman is a product of prophecy. Life does not happen by accident; destiny is shaped by divine words spoken ahead of time. God’s purposes for a man are settled in heaven before manifestation on earth.

The Word of God does not fail. What God has spoken concerning you must come to pass. Even when circumstances delay it, prophecy is not cancelled it is only awaiting its appointed time.

As we step into 2026, your prophecy must be released by force. You cannot afford to sit back passively. Destiny responds to spiritual engagement, faith, and obedience.

Tonight, anyone or anything sitting on your answers, delaying your progress, or standing on your prophecy must give way. Every power opposing the fulfillment of God’s word in your life must be dethroned.
This is the season for manifestation. What was written concerning you shall speak, and it shall surely come to pass.

The key message and highlight from yesterday’s January program (Day 2 of the first week) was truly impactful. Rev. Isonguyo Eshiet preached with great passion, emphasizing the urgent need for revival in the Church. He spoke strongly about the need for the love of Christ to be rekindled among the brethren, a renewal of hearts, and a fresh hunger for the things of God and service in His kingdom.

He further explained why many people are becoming lukewarm, unsaved, and gradually withdrawing from the house of God failing to receive what they truly need spiritually. According to him, this decline is largely due to the inactivity, unseriousness, and misplaced priorities in the hearts of many Christians. We are now more focused on material pursuits than on spiritual growth.

The message was powerful and mind-blowing. God’s presence was evident, moving mightily and powerfully among us.
