FROM NO TO YES

“But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 15: 24)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

In our Focal Scripture, Jesus whilst responding to the woman of Canaan, affirmed that He was not sent (to others) but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Jesus was simply affirming that He had no business granting a miracle to that woman of Canaan. Jesus, by His comment, was ruling her out of her desired miracle. He was simply saying a big NO to that woman of Canaan. In the end, despite initially saying no, Jesus changed His mind and gave her the miracle she desired.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: for every No you have received, prepare to get a YES. Those that said no to you in time past are about to change their minds. Those that rejected you in time past are about to accept you. Those that had negative verdicts against you in time past are about to change their minds towards you. Those that vowed not to help you in time past are about to turn around and help you. Those that closed the chapters of your favour in the past are about to reopen them.

The same Jesus that said no to the woman of Canaan, was the same Jesus that turned and made the proclamation for her daughter’s healing. Hear me as I hear the Lord: in those same places where you received negative reports, you are about to receive positive reports. In the same places where doors were shut at you, those same doors are about to be opened. You are getting a Yes in the location where you got a No in time past.

That rejection you may have received in time past is not the final word on that matter. You are moving from No to Yes. You are moving from rejection to acceptance. You are moving from judgement to mercy. You are moving from disfavor to favour. You are moving from negative reports to positive reports. You are moving from closed doors to open doors. You are moving from back to front. You are moving from valley to mountain.

Get ready to have men change their minds for good, in your favour. Get ready to have every No change to a Yes.

1 Peter 2: 10 says: “Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”

Declare With Me: Every NO is becoming a YES, in Jesus’ name!

BUILT TO LAST - THE KINGDOM THAT NEVER ENDS (Luke 6:46-49)

Calling Jesus Lord has never been the hard part. Words are cheap and easy. Doing what He said isn't as easy. Two men built houses that looked identical from the outside, but one dug down and hit rock before he laid a single brick. The other skipped that step entirely. WHEN (when, not if) the storm came, one stood and the other collapsed completely. You have one free guess at which one persisted.

That's the difference obedience makes. Hearing the word gives you information, but hearing without doing gives you no actual foundation. You can know every scripture, quote every promise, and still fall apart the moment betrayal or hardship shows up, because it's not knowledge that holds you up. Practice is.

It's the same difference between a scholar who has spent his life studying every way to build a house and a person who has spent the same time building every kind of house there is. There's just one you'd trust to build your house.

But see, none of us obey perfectly, and this is where mercy comes in. His mercies are new every morning, not because we've earned a fresh start, but because we genuinely couldn't last a single day on our own strength. Real submission invites grace to finish what your effort alone never could.

You are being built to last, refashioned on purpose, headed toward the expected end God already has planned for you. Stay in the process. Keep doing the word, not just hearing it, and your foundation will hold when the storm comes.
