Topic- WISDOM IS PROFITABLE

Target Scripture: MATTHEW 7:24-29

Memory verse:
JOB 28:28 - "And unto man he said, Behold the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom: and to depart from evil is understanding."

SCRIPTURE ANALYSIS:
Wisdom is the correct application of knowledge or information that comes through understanding. Knowledge delivers the provision or promise, understanding helps you to see the reality of that provision while wisdom helps you to experience the benefits of the provision. Wisdom is invaluable and indispensable in the life of every believer.
There is the wisdom of man or earthly wisdom and there is wisdom from above; that is the wisdom of God. The true wisdom from God is the one to which I refer here. First, let us dig deep into the Bible to learn about wisdom, its meaning and characteristics. When we truly gain this knowledge, we will value wisdom as we ought, seek it with all our hearts and use it for the betterment of our lives and destinies.
The first thing to know is that the fear of God constitutes wisdom. Being guided by God's consciousness and reverence births and develops true wisdom in man. JOB 28:28 affirms this, "And unto man he said, Behold the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom: and to depart from evil is understanding." The second thing to know is that experience augments or adds to wisdom. The Bible buttresses this in JOB 32:7, "I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom." Third, the Bible affirms that wisdom should be the believer's supreme acquisition. PROVERBS 4:7 says, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom; and with all thy getting get understanding." Fourth, divine wisdom enables the believer to understand divine truth. In Hosea 14:9, the Bible asks, "Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? Prudent, and he shall know them? For the ways of the LORD are right.

Topic- GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT: REVELATIONAL GIFTS.

Target Scripture:
1 CORINTHIANS 12:1-11

Memory verse:
DEUTERONOMY 29:29 - "The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law."

SCRIPTURE ANALYSIS:
The revelation gifts of the Holy Spirit is to equip the Church to express the fullness of God's love to the world. These gifts are given to the Church to benefit both believers and unbelievers. The gifts represent the work God does through the life of a believer in a given situation to demonstrate His supernatural power. Consequently when the unbelievers see these manifestation, they too shall belive and surrender their lives to Christ.
The three revelation gifts as listed in I Corinthians 12:7-11 are word of wisdom, word of knowledge and the discerning of spirits. The word of wisdom is the revelation through the power of the Holy Spirit about the future of a person, a place or a thing. The word of knowledge is the revelation through the power of the Holy Spirit concerning the present or past situation of a person, a place or thing. The gift of God in a believer to identify the power behind a situation or in a person is known as the discernment of spirits.
After listing the spiritual gifts, the Apostle Paul added this critical statement: "But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will" (1 Corinthians 12:11). As you learn about the gifts, remember that the Spirit of God is the Source of these gifts, and they are manifested to bring God glory.
To gain an understanding of the gifts, one must rely on a study of the individual terms, an accurate interpretation of the Greek words used, and wisdom from the Holy Spirit (John 14:26.) Who is able to teach and enlighten us on all things.

Topic- RESISTING THE DEVIL

Memory verse:
1 PETER 5:8 - "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."

SCRIPTURE ANALYSIS:
To resist means to withstand the force or effect of a thing or person. In this case, resisting the devil calls for divine intervention and ability. As Christians, we don't have the human strength, wisdom or power to do so except we are divinely empowered. James advised that a Christian should first draw nearer to God and thereafter, resist the devil. How then do you draw near to God? What are the things you can do to help you resist this evil one at all times?
Drawing nearer to God involves being a friend of God. To be a friend of God, you must surrender your life to Jesus Christ and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour. It is this new birth that brings you to that position of intimacy with God through Christ Jesus. As you grow and get mature in your Christian life, engage in daily consistent reading and studying of God's word, communing with God daily in prayer and praying all kinds of prayers. You will be renewed in your mind and your inner man will be transformed. Also, your spiritual growth and maturity will become evident in word and in deed. It is important that you become an ardent worshipper of the Most High. God dwells in the praises of His beloved.
In addition, you should flee from every appearance of sin. Walk in love and truth, following the footsteps of Jesus.

PRAYER FOCUS FOR THE DAY:
1. You the roaring lion, you shall not devour me, in the name of Jesus.
2. Power of sin and iniquity upon my life, break and release me, in the name of Jesus.
3. O God, arise and deliver me from every besetting sin, the name of Jesus.
4. Father, clothe me with the garment of righteousness, in the name of Jesus.
5. Hatred for sin possess me now, in Jesus name.

Topic- FROM INSULT TO RESULT

Target scripture: 1 Samuel 1:1-7

Memory verse:
Romans 8:28 - "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

SCRIPTURE ANALYSIS:
In our Target Scripture today, you can see what Hannah went through in the hands of her mate, Peninnah, who always provoked her sore, made her to cry, and at times she would not eat. The insult was so much that she was always withdrawn. What happened to Hannah was a direct act of God, not for any sin on her part. God was preparing to give her a son, Samuel, in His own time and way. At times, God may take us through disappointment or lead us into situation in which we feel that we do not have what is necessary to accomplish his plans for our lives. We should do as Hannah did. We should take our hurts directly to God and wait for Him to take care of them in the ways He knows are best.
To be insulted is to be abused and ridiculed for what one is lacking. To be insulted is to be derided by people who are not even up to one's standard. This was what Hannah went through in the hand of Peninnah, but God too was watching, preparing and waiting to turn Hannah's sorrow to joy. May God return every arrow of shame sent to you back to sender, in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER FOCUS FOR THE DAY:
1. Father, move me from insult to result, by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
2. Power that converts shame to glory, come upon me now, in the name of Jesus.
3. My life, reject insult, in the name of Jesus.
4. Father, turn the joy of my enemies and mockers to sorrow, in the name of Jesus.
5. O God, show me a sign for good and let those who hate me know that you are good to me, in the name of Jesus.
6. The miracle that will make me forget my past shame locate me in Jesus name.

Topic- GOOD FRIDAY.

"For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God".
ROMANS 6:10.

SCRIPTURE ANALYSIS:
Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. According to the New Testament accounts, Jesus was crucified on a Friday, which is now commemorated as Good Friday by Christians around the world. It a solemn day for Christians, typically observed with sombre and reflective activities that focus on the suffering and death of Jesus Christ
If Good Friday is a day of sorrow and remembrance, it begs the question – why is it called “Good” Friday?
Good Friday is called "good" because of the religious significance of the day for Christians, who believe that Jesus’s death on the cross was the ultimate sacrifice for humanity's sins. For Christians, this sacrifice represents the ultimate act of love and redemption, and it is good because it marks the start of his resurrection on Easter, which is the most important religious holiday for Christians.

PRAYER FOCUS FOR THE DAY:
1- Blood of Jesus, sanitize my foundation in the name of Jesus.
2- Any power that want me to die prematurely, represent me in the grave in the name of Jesus.
3- Blood of Jesus, fight for me and my family in the name of Jesus.
4- Powers that want to kill my destiny, be destroyed in the name of Jesus.

Topic: THE SPIRIT OF LIBERTY

"Now the Lord is that spirit and where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty".
2 CORINTHIANS 3:17

SCRIPTURE ANALYSIS:
Liberty is the opposite of servitude, or bo***ge. So, it is applicable to one held captive or a slave set free from his or her oppression.
The power that enslaves is sin, and liberty consists not only in physical freedom or in possession of the formal power of choice but in deliverance from the darkening of mind, the tyranny of sinful lusts and the enthrallment of the will occasioned by a morally corrupt state.
Being holy, doing what is right and good, are all aspects of being free, living in liberty. All these are, however, only possible when one reconditioned one's soul and perpetually live a godly life.
Jesus minced no words when He told the Jews who believed in Him. "If ye continue in my word, then are ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free"(John 8:31-32). How does one get entrapped in servitude or bo***ge and lose one's library? It is through living a sinful life. You become a servant to sin when you lose your liberty.
So, it is very important, as children of God, to live a life of liberty, sin-less, and sin-free. As Christians, we are admonished not to presume upon, or abuse our liberty in Christ.

PRAYER FOCUS FOR THE DAY:
1. Any evil hand, hampering me from operating in liberty, wither, in the name of Jesus.
2. I shall not be denied my portion of liberty in God's vineyard, in Jesus name.
3. Servitude is not my portion, in the name of Jesus.
4. No power of darkness shall prevail over me, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every imprisonment I have ignorantly been pushed into, I get out, in Jesus name.
6. Deliver me from every power of darkness, O Lord, in the name of Jesus.
7. My liberty in the Lord is guaranteed, in Jesus name.

Topic- CONTENTMENT COMES FROM GOD (2)

"Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life"
JOHN 4:13-14

SCRIPTURE ANALYSIS:
Our attempts at happiness often leave us feeling hopeless. The woman at the well had been wed five times, but all of her marriages had failed. Whether or not the problems were her fault, she was left without the love she sought. Most likely, each broken relationship left her feeling lonelier than before.
God knows our pain. When the woman admitted she didn’t presently have a husband, Jesus revealed that He already knew she and the man living with her were not married. By demonstrating His awareness of her hurt and pursuit of fulfillment, He helped the woman recognize her need for a Savior. Jesus can satisfy our yearnings. Once the Samaritan woman realized what was missing, Jesus revealed how to live a full life: "Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst".
Do you ever feel like the Samaritan woman—dissatisfied with life and thirsty for love and fulfillment? Surrender to God, and allow His love to flow through you. Only then will you experience abundant life.

PRAYER FOCUS FOR THE DAY:
1- Thank you Lord for another weekend in the name of Jesus.
2- O Lord, supply all my needs according to your riches in glory in the name of Jesus.
3- I withdraw my life from the season of shame and disgrace in the name of Jesus.
4- Voice of help from the Lord, speak to my life in the name of Jesus.
5- O God of grace, open a new book of help for me in the name of Jesus.
6- Thank You Lord for I know you have answered. AMEN

Topic- WORK OF FAITH.

"For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God".
1 THESSALONIANS 1:9

SCRIPTURE ANALYSIS:
Those who have faith are very different from those who do not have faith. Before they had faith, some indulged in sinful things. Now that they have faith, they can no longer indulge in these things. Spontaneously, as an action, a work, of faith, they refrain from those things. Others before they were saved were not good neighbors. But after they were saved and came to have faith, they became very kind, gentle, loving, and considerate. No one taught them to be different. The change was produced by the faith within them. The faith caused them to be helpful to others, especially to other believers. This is another illustration of the work of the faith.
The work of faith denotes the proper actions of a genuine believer. It is not the performing of a certain task or the doing of certain good deeds to help others. No, it is our daily action as believers, the action that is a product of faith. This is Paul’s understanding of the work of faith. As he was praying for the Thessalonians, he remembered their action of faith.

PRAYER FOCUS FOR THE DAY:
1- Thank you Lord for all you have done for me in the name of Jesus.
2- O Lord, give me the spirit of revelation and wisdom in the knowledge of yourself, in the name of Jesus.
3- O Lord, make your way plain before my face on issues related to my life in the name of Jesus.
4- Lord, build around me the hedge of fire in the name of Jesus.
5- O Lord, bring to light everything planned against me in darkness, in the name of Jesus.
