TACN UYO FIELD: COUNCIL UPGRADES 73 ASSISTANT PASTORS..Announces Pastors' Transfers..As New Council Prophet Emerges
The council of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Uyo Field, has approved the promotion of 73 ministerial staff of the church from Assistant Pastors to full pastors.
In a post annual Convention Conference of the ministerial staff, held in Uyo, Monday December 14, 2020, the Field Superintendent, Pastor I. N. George (Assoc. Prof.) announced that a total of 73 ministerial staff who were called as Assistant Pastors, have been promoted to full pastors and subsequently assigned to districts.
He also announced the emergence of a new Council Prophet, Pastor G. D. Uduak, who is currently stationed at Anua Obio District. According to the Field Superintendent, Pastor Uduak has been transferred to Nsit District, the missionary station meant for the Council Prophet of Ikot Ntuen Oku Major Center.
The Uyo Field Superintendent while carrying an earlier prophetic directive to reiterate the message of grace to the ministers, admonished them to seek God's grace in the course of their divine assignment. He noted that grace is the love of God to the unlovely, the peace of God to the restless and that it provide special enablement where natural ability fails. He further charged the ministers to subdue only to God's direction in 2021, adding that the year ahead shall be fruitful.
In his words, "grace is the only effective tool you can use and succeed in this ministry. There is a difference between grace and mercy. Grace is unmerited, while mercy is compassion shown to an offender. Grace encompasses forgiveness, acceptance, presence, enablement, freedom and completion."
Also at the meeting, notice of transfer was issued to 54 district pastors and some area superintendents. The transfers are expected to take effect within the first quarter of 2021.
