HOW TO BUILD YOUR FAITH (Part 1)
Just because you're in church every Sunday doesn't mean your faith is growing. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God—but not just hearing—understanding. You can sit in services for years and still miss it if the Word isn't revealed to you personally. The Bible is spiritual. It takes the Spirit to unlock it.
I love my pastor. I'm in church whenever the doors are open. But I don't rely on Sunday messages to carry my spiritual life. Why? Because my relationship with God is mine. Nobody can have it for me. God is my Father—and I want to hear from Him directly. That's the whole point of the Holy Spirit.
Your pastor is a gift. They're a guide. They point you to God and walk with you as you grow. But they're not meant to stand between you and God. Their job is to lead you closer—not to be the middleman forever. God wants you to know Him for yourself.
You were created for relationship with Him. He's not distant. He's accessible. And He speaks through His Word. But what you hear on Sunday is only a spark. You need daily fuel. That's your responsibility.
Create a personal altar. A place where you meet with God one-on-one. Where you study, pray, and grow. That's where faith is built. That's where your spirit is fed.
Your pastor isn't more spiritual than you. They're just someone who decided to get serious with God personally. And that same call is for you too. Every believer is called to grow, to know, and to share.
You feed your body every day. But your body won't last forever. Your spirit will. So feed your spirit more. The Word is your food. Make time for it. That's how you grow.
