EXCERPTS of Sunday service.

Ministering: Pastor Daniel Eliakim.
Message tittled: WHY GOD SENT JESUS INTO THE WORLD.

In knowing Jesus, we can understand God. And since God is a Spirit, those who worship Him, must worship Him in spirit & in truth.

God came as a man in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ, to show us face to face, Who He is.

To explain this mystery, 1Timothy 3:16, has this to say: " And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory".

For the first time, angels first saw Jesus on earth, because in heaven, He was the Word of God. The first begotten Son of God. When He was going back, He charged the the gates to lift up their heads, so that the King of glory may come in....
Just as God told Moses, I heard the cry of My children, the children of Israel, so I had to come down... same could be said of God coming down in the form of a man, Jesus, to save mankind. To accomplish this task, God prepared a body for Jesus, which was used as sacrifice on the cross.

See Hebrew 10:5" Wherefore when He cometh into the world, He saith, Sacrifice and offering Thou wouldest not, but a body Thou has prepared for Me."
Yes, this body was the sacrifice at Calvary.
He also came with the gospel, which is the deliverance from darkness. It's the revelation & knowledge that delivers us from darkness, translates us from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of His dear Son. Without knowledge, deliverance would be a waste of time.

Jesus came to show us Who God is. He demonstrated the character of God. He showed that believers should take the word of God seriously. Since we don't have power of our own, believers should do things according to what they hear from God.
Jesus also demonstrated that, when God sends a person, God lives in that person. So, when He was asked, where is Your Father? He had this to say : " Then said they unto Him, Where is Thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know Me, nor My Father: if ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also". John 8:19.

Here Jesus emphasis on the word" know", which in other words refers to discernment, assimilation, thorough understanding. We must have a thorough knowledge about the things of God. We must meditate on the word of God. We must know that any one who God sends, He lives in that person.

2 Corinthians 5: 18-19, buttresses this point, thus, " All things are of God, Who had reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given unto us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing trespasses unto them; and had committed unto us the word of reconciliation."
Our Lord Jesus oversees His Church on earth. He said, the work that I do, you will do same. Because, He Who sent us is in us doing the work, not ourselves. Explaining further, the Lord said in John 14:7, " If ye hath known Me, ye should have known My Father also: and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him".

John 12: 44-45, further states what Jesus has been saying, that if you've known Him, you'll know His Father also. And if you've seen Me, you would've seen My Father also. If you believe in Him, you would also believe in the One Who sent Him.
In His prayer, the Lord Jesus, in John 17:25-26, He uses the word, " known" Me. That the love that the Father loved Him, it's the same love He loves us. That's total knowledge of the mission of word of God on earth.
In John 15:7, the Lord admonished us to abide in His love. That's to hold tenaciously, unshakable, that's with steady consciousness. He said, abide in My love as you keep My commandments. In this way, our inheritance is the totality of all that Christ has.

As stated in Col.1:15, Christ is the express image of God & it pleases Him , the Father that everything dwells in the Son, Jesus Christ. The fullness of God dwells in Christ Jesus. Meaning, all power is given to Him. So when you know Him, believe Him, & trust Him, all that He has is yours.
He had also given all power to the Church.

To God be all the glory in Jesus name. Amen.

Sunday service EXCERPTS.

Message Tittled:
OUR LIVES AS AN INFLUENCE TO UNBELIEVERS.

Ministering: Pastor Daniel Eliakim.

The word of God should influence & transform us. The word of God should control or constrain us, such that we could be trusted by others.
In this wise, a good believer can win souls without preaching. People may decide to come worship with you in your Church, because they've seen something in you to emulate. Unlike others who're reprobates & they're a disgrace to their various Churches.
Matt 5:16 confirms what a good believer should be like. It says, " Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven".

We should let the way we live attract members into our Churches. Even let people be jealous of your Christian character! As the song says, " Let the world see Jesus in your eyes..." Somebody should glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, for changing your life.

We must let the "Oldman" in our lives be crucified with Christ, that the body of sin be done away with. Then we would not be slave to sin.( Roman 6:6). In the place of the Oldman, our " Newman" should be renewed in righteousness to serve God in truth.

Let Jesus be manifest in our lives, even though we live in a crooked & perverse generation. Phil.2:15, has this to say: " That ye may be blameless & harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked & perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world"

Here we're admonished to live a clean life, no matter our environment.
In the same vein, Apostle Paul counseling his spiritual son, Timothy, stated as follows: " Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."

He advised him to be example of a believer in:

* What you say
* The way you live your life
* Your love for the people
* Your faith
* Your purity ( your moral integrity)

We should let people see our good conduct & let the light of the gospel shine. So, we can't continue to maintain friendship with unreasonable people, when we're born again, because they have word of death, while we have word of life. Moreso as we're the epistles or letters from Christ to the world.

2 Cor.3:2 seals it, thus: " Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known & read of all men". Our personal example is part of our witnessing. In all things, we ought to show pattern of good works...
Titus 2:7. We should preach the gospel & live it, not contradicting ourselves, by preaching the gospel, but living a contrary life.

As stated in 1Peter 3; our godly character should speak for us.

And loving each other will prove that we're disciples of Christ indeed.( John 13:35). We ought to love one another by helping to transform lives.. showing others the right way.

We return all the honour, glory, adoration & praise to Him alone that sitteth between the cherubim. In Jesus' most powerful name. Amen.

Excerpts from Sunday's service.
Message Titled: DISCIPLESHIP.

Ministering: PST Daniel Eliakim

Who is a Disciple?

A Disciple is defined as one who accepts the message of our Lord Jesus Christ & spreads same to others. It was stated that every born-again believer is a disciple. Matthew 10:24, further defined who a disciple is. Thus, " The disciple is not above his Master, nor the servant above his Lord". Any disciple or servant who thinks he/she knows more than his/her Master makes mockery of himself or herself.

For instance, the Pastor is like Moses & we, are like the Israelites.
In John 12:26, our Lord Jesus Christ further explained service & followership, with regards to discipleship. Hear Him, " If any man serve Me, let him follow Me; and where Iam, there shall My servant be: if any man serve Me, him will My Father honour."

To serve, is to be of use. Are you relevant to be used? Are you useful or are you somebody able to be managed? Are you humble? Can you be able to adapt to change? If the Spirit of God can't control you, you can't serve God. If your pastor can't manage you, you can't be useful to him. To follow, if you're not humble, you can't follow the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.

To serve is also the ability to follow. And those who serve Him will His Father honour. The Lord has also given us an example.( John 13:15). A leader must show an example. Our Lord Jesus Christ did. 1Peter 2:21, also spoke of how Christ suffered & left us an example.

We see that every thing about Christianity is sacrifice. Christ left us an example of humility.
Unfortunately, Satan is using tricks to sway Christians away. You make yourself difficult to be controlled by your pastor. Satan obviously takes advantage of them. They make it impossible to be controlled by the word of God.

The solution is to abide in the Lord, that's, remain continuously in the Lord. As stated in John 15:7, the Lord Jesus Christ is the Vine( the tree) & you're the branch. And you can't bear fruit if you don't abide on the Vine tree. The tree supply life to the branch. The Lord said in John 15:9, " As the Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you: continue ye in My love". This means, if you keep My commandments, you'll abide in My love. And when you abide in God's love, you'll be controlled by the Word of God.

There'll be hunger for the Word & as stated in 1John3:24, we'll keep His commandments & continually abide in His love.

I pray for you today, receive power by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ to be steadfast in His vineyard in Jesus most precious name. Amen

Message Titled:
SERVANT OF THE CHURCH.

Ministering: Pastor Daniel Eliakim.

Bible Reading: Romans 16 :1-16.

The cardinal question is; WHO'S A SERVANT OF THE CHURCH??

In Romans 16:1 and 2, talks about servants in the Church. Apostle Paul started with Sister Phoebe. Hear him: " I commend unto you Phoebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea: That ye receive herin the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatever business she hath need of you: for she had been a sucourer of many, and of myself." Romans 16:1-2.

He describes Sister Phoebe as a sucourer. She helps those in need with love, serving the body of Christ by helping in need... loving & serving one another.
This is how you can come to the level of Servant of the Church. You may be a deacon, though lesser in rank than the pastor, but you're part of the leadership. In the process, we're building ourselves for church growth.
To be a servant of the Church largely depends on your mindset. You must have a mindset of working together to build the church and also to build one another up.

Again, God also blessed you accordingly to your mindset, because God looks at the heart. Our Lord Jesus Christ says in John 12:26.... that those who serve Him will His Father honour. And how do you serve God? Your neighbour is the office God has given you to serve Him. In other words, as you serve your neighbour, you're serving God. God looks at the purpose of your heart. As Apostle Paul stated in Romans 16, Servants of the Church are those that labour in the Lord's vineyard & they're the real Servants of God.
In Acts 9:36-40, we have the story of Dorcas, a lady who served the Church & when she died, Apostle Peter was sent for by the local church to bring her back to life.
We've had the story of King Hezekiah, how God added fifteen years to his life because he presented his score card of good service to the Lord.

When you cry unto the Lord, what do you present to Him as your record of service in His vineyard or Kingdom?

In Philippians 4:15-19, Apostle Paul, talks about the Philipian church responding to his needs & asked for the Lord's blessings upon them. So, we see that the prayer of Phil.4:19, often quoted by believers doesn't apply to every body. But to those who partnered with Apostle Paul in his ministry.

Prayer: As you rededicate your life to God this day for the purpose of serving Him, may the countenance of His GLORY shine upon you, May He equip and straighten you to be a worthy servant and a Vessel of Honor in His Vineyard in Jesus Most precious name. Amen.

Message Titled: AUTHENTICATION OF GOD'S WORD

Ministering: Pastor Daniel Eliakim.

Bible text:Hebrew 6:17
" Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath."

The word immutable, also means not susceptible to change. Doesn't yield to change, doesn't give up & it's irrevocable. God backs up His promise with an oath.

So, the 2 immutable things are:

* His promise

* His backing up with an oath.

God's word can't change. It's not susceptible to change either.
When God makes up His mind to do anything, it must come to pass. Though the manifestation of His word may not sometimes be automatic, it may require patience. Be sure the promise is from God, as it's immutable..He gives us His word backed up with an oath. So, we can hope on His promise with confidence. Why confident? Because His word can't fail.. weather it is prosperity, success, etc, we can work out God"s word with confidence, which is Faith, as we know that God is Who He says, He is.

God means business. It's only His children who're beating about the bush. For Him, His promise or word is irrevocable! It can't change.
What makes us strong as christians is the confidence we have in His word. What God says must come to pass as it's guaranteed by an oath. Some christians are too familiar with God. But we should see God as the Maker of heaven & earth. Our Lord Jesus Christ exhibited the character of God when He was here in His earthly ministry. As He walked by faith, He was able to bring salvation to many.

The truth about Christianity is believing God. When you believe God, all things are possible to them that believe. Don't promise yourself something & expect it to come to pass. You must hear from God. Know God through His word.

As stated in John 15:7, if you abide in God & His word abides in you, then you can ask anything of God. God's character to His purpose or vision is unchanged. He watches over His word to perform it. When He says, I will do a new thing. He means it. We must have patience to allow God work out things for us. Even the creation of man was a process. God works your success for you, but you must be patient to allow Him work.

Those who're impatient & run to Satan for wealth, may not live to tell their story. Our father, Abraham, without hope, still hoped. God will stop doing something when you stop believing.

Did you work on God's promises to bring them to pass? All things are possible to him that believes.

Hook unto His promise with confidence.

Be blessed inJesus Most precious name. Amen.

Excerpts from Sunday's service:

Ministering: God's Servant, Daniel Eliakim.
Message Titled: Faith:

What's faith?

Faith is a lifestyle of a born again Christian. We're not born of the will of man, but the will of God. Faith is a relationship between God & His children.

It's the Spirit of God in man that makes him " another man". You begin to think about the word of God. And since God & His word are one, God expects us to know Him by His word. We keep on meditating on the word of God & become one with the word.

That's why He admonishes us in Matthew 6:33, to seek His Kingdom first, & not act like the heathens.
Christians are suffering & labouring because they don't build themselves on the Faith life.

The young man said to Jesus, you don't have to come to my house, just speak the word & my servant will be healed. So, faith is a complete confidence that God will do what He said He'll do.

To understand faith is to understand God. If you don't hear from God, how can you expect anything from God? Because every promise of God is backed up with an oath. And these are two immutable things. God can't lie! Since God is a God of purpose, He backs up His promise with an oath & it must come to pass.
Abraham built himself strong. He reasoned that if God can call those things that be not as though they were, he hoped upon hope.( Romans 4:17-18). And as Romans 4:3, states, " For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God & it was counted unto him for righteousness."

When a believer is having hope, God has promised something he's hoping on. Patience, therefore is the strength of hope & faith, the foundation of Christian life.
The life you're living is your belief. And faith works in the children of God, that's based on what God says.

For instance, David inquired of the Lord. He asked, should I pursue, will I overtake? God said, pursue & you'll overtake. He based his actions on what God has said.

Even a chief priest( juju) will consult hi gods & if there's no answer, he'll do nothing. He knows that the gods will kill him if he told lies against them. But a Christian will say, God spoke, when He's said nothing.
You don't have faith when you don't hear from God. What God says is what you hope for.

The Bible says unbelievers are wiser than us. They ( unbelievers) are certain of what they're doing. Christians are people without foundation. Everything about the Christian is prayer, but he needs to know the word of God. Know God through His word & become one with His word ( John 15:7).
The life you're living can make you debt-free or a debtor. When you're born again, you can build a good life for yourself.

For instance, when we pray, we should believe & know that prayer is a 2- way communication. When we don't hear from God & we claim that what's in our hearts is what's in God's heart, we miss the point.

Instances when God spoke:
Herod wanted to kill infant Jesus & God told Joseph to take the Child to Egypt. But when Isaac wanted to move to Egypt as others did, God told him, don't go to Egypt. So what did the Spirit of God tell you? Some men of God are living fake life, because a man of God is the one that has fellowship with God. So when you obey God, you're living the spiritual life.
Marriage, for instance will work if both partners are spiritual & not carnal. If spiritual, they'll have the fear of God.
You must work out things. Salvation is a life we live. Step by step, precept by precept, try to live according to His will. Christianity is a personal life we're living, so we can be saved on the last day.

What puts believers to shame is because they're not living a life of faith. Christians claim to be what they're not.
Faith life delivers us from shame.

Abraham was told to sacrifice Isaac.
Moses was told to divide the sea.
But they know that God can't fail, they proceeded because His promise is backed up with an oath.
Our God's not dead. And christians don't know how to work with their God.

Men of faith hear from God & hold on to what He said. If you're genuine, believing God's word makes you calm down if you were angry. A genuine ɓeliever doesn't reflect negative character, because the product of the word of God is what will come out of him.

May God give us understanding and insight of Him through the knowledge of His words in Jesus most precious name. Amen.

Message Titled: PATIENCE.

Ministering: God's Servant; Pastor Daniel Eliakim

What is Patience?

Patience is defined as forbearance, refraining from enforcing what was intended, long-suffering, enduring for a long time because you know the One that made the promise.

When you have patience, you lack nothing & without patience you can't achieve anything.
There are many that change church because of lack of patience. Christians must develop a relationship with God. And when they pray, they should understand that prayer is a 2-way communication. The other party can respond or keep mute, & that doesn't mean that the answer will not come. When God makes a promise, you have to patiently waiting & hope on Him. Many trials that come to a Christian is to develop patience in him.
Just like Faith. Faith is esoteric, that is something that can only be done by the initiates. It is therefore spirituality discerned. The carnal man or non- initiate can't have patience. He can't hear from God.

A genuine Christian must develop patience. He must have patience in everything that he does. And you can't walk with God without patience, because God must work things out for you.

Examples of those that walk with God would survice:

Moses was a shepherd & he was patient. God only uses patient people. God is a God of patience, long-suffering. With strength, you can keep your focus on God with your confession.
Again, waiting for God's promises is working out your salvation.

To corroborate this, Luke 8:15, states: " But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest & good heart, having heard the word, keep it, & bring forth fruit with patience".

Confirming this truth, Romans 15:4 further states: " For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience & comfort of the scriptures might have hope".

Great men of God use the virtue (patience) to obtain from God. That's using patience & comfort of what God has said in His word. You don't hope on something you don't believe. So, settled in your heart, you'll patiently wait for what you believe. And the Law of Faith says, don't ask how?

Because it a function of the life of God in a man.
Then, the question. Who has believed our reports? Who believes God? Many men of God fail because they fail to develop patience. Romans 15: 5 , describes, God as God of patience. So, you must develop patience to continue in doing God's will. Because without patience, you can't accomplish anything.

These biblical heroes & heroines will make good examples:

See the case of Hannah. What about Elizabeth, who was called barren, who eventually gave birth to John the Baptist. Since the prophecy of the coming of the Messiah, many maidens kept their virginity, with the hope of giving birth to the Messiah. But the Angel was sent to only one of them, Mary, the mother of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
And why was Angel Gabriel sent to Mary? Because of the kind of man who was going to marry her. Joseph was a patient man. Ordinarily, Mary would have been stoned to death, but Joseph was there to protect her. Joseph also protected Jesus... took the child to Egypt.
David was also a patient man. Even though he was anointed, somebody else was still sitting on his throne. He knew if he( David) killed him ( Saul), he would take over his throne, but he didn't & was patient.

Finally, patience is an important tool and virtue believers must posses on other to remain relevant in our relationship and fellowship with God whose promises can Never fail.

I pray for you today, receive power to wait for God patiently in the mighty Precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Message Titled:
OVERCOMING THE POWER OF SIN(pt3)
Ministering: Pastor Daniel Eliakim.

Bible text: Gal.5:17;
thus: " For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other; so that ye cannot do the things that ye would."

The Spirit is at war with the flesh.
When born again, your spirit is alive, but if not it's caged.
We come to church to renew the spirit of our minds, that's the soul. We want the soul to be born again.
When the spirit man alive, it can convert the soul. And when the soul is alive, it can submit to the Spirit of God in man.
When the soul is not regenerated or born again, you can fornicate, smoke, or even visit an herbalist, because the soul is not under control. Apostle Paul said, I put my body under subjection, & he was referring to the soul.
The word of God is not for the mind. With discipline, the word of God through the Holy Spirit can put the soul where it belongs. Only disciplined Christian can build his life. As stated in Rom. 8:5, they that are after the flesh do things of the flesh, & they of the spirit, do things of the spirit.

Some believers, for instance is like a bulldog in chains. They're hypocritcal , & still in the soul realm. They're carnal. And a carnal man can't overcome the power of sin. A carnal man can't forgive, loves sin & wickedness. A carnal man loves celebration, where he can flock with those of the same feathers.

Rom 8:6 says: " For to be carnally-minded is death: but to be spiritually minded is life & peace. A carnal man is an enemy of God. He may come to church because he's pushed. Verse 7, confirms that the carnal man is an enemy of God & can't subject to the laws of that, but wants to do what he wants to do. A carnal person is wicked. They don't think of tomorrow because they're controlled by the Soul. They're equally ashamed of the gospel.
To sum it all, carnal man wants to enjoy the world & also enjoy God.
But according to Rom 6:7, states inter alia, that he that is dead is free from sin. This " death" means indifference, uninterested, incuriosity, etc. Though we're in the world, yet we're not of the world. And the Bible shows that if the Spirit that raise our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead dwells in you, He shall quicken your mortal body, & will make you alive to the things of God.

It'll make your spirit, soul & body to be alive to serve God.
We were all baptized into the death & resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We were baptized into incuriosity, indifference, uninterested to things of the world.Rom 6:3.

May His word which you have heard today be fulfilled in your lives as you put them to action in Jesus most Precious name. Amen.
