Five years in the making. Twenty-five years in the asking.
I preached tithing as a young minister on campus. It took me a quarter of a century — and this book — to work out what I actually believed about it.
The Tithe & The Church traces the tithe from Abraham and Melchizedek, through the law and the feast Israel was commanded to eat in God’s presence, to the silence of the New Testament epistles — and the six centuries that passed before tithing became binding church law.
It doesn’t argue for a camp. It argues that both camps have been asking the wrong question. Part exegesis, part apologetics, and written to be argued with.
