HAVE YOU CHECKED YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE?

It is Hypertension Awareness month.

Theme: "Controlling Hypertension Together: Check your blood pressure regularly, defeat the silent killer”.

Hypertension is a leading preventable causes of premature death worldwide, and most people don’t even know they have it.

It works silently, damaging the heart, kidneys, brain, and blood vessels long before you feel a thing.

It's time to get checked. A 2-minute blood pressure check can save your life.

Know your numbers. A normal blood pressure is below 120/80 mmHg.

Take action early: Hypertension can be prevented and controlled with healthy lifestyle changes and, when needed, medication.

Stay consistent: Control means long-term care, not a one-time fix.

Early detection saves lives.

Let’s also push for better access. Our primary health centers need to be equipped, staffed, and ready to support everyone in managing their BP.

Check your BP today.

MY HAIR, MY CROWN

Dear Young Professional Queen,
Healthy hair comes with care and consistency.
As you show up daily to build your career, remember to show up for your hair too:

Hair Care: Wash regularly (every 2 - 3weeks), moisturise deeply, and avoid over-manipulation. Your routine doesn’t need to be complicated, just consistent.

Hair Health: Pay attention to what your hair is telling you. Breakage, dryness, and thinning are signs to slow down and adjust. Healthy hair thrives on balance, hydration, protection, and gentle handling.

Hair Products: Not every product is for you. Choose what works for your hair texture and lifestyle. Focus on nourishing ingredients, not just trends.

Your hair is your Crown, wear it with Grace.

Father, this is my prayer:

More holiness give me, More strivings within,
More patience in suffering, More sorrow for sin,
More faith in my Saviour, More sense of his care,
More joy in his service, More purpose in prayer.

More gratitude give me, More trust in the Lord,
More pride in his glory, More hope in his word,
More tears for his sorrows, More pain at his grief,
More meekness in trial, More praise for relief.

More purity give me, More strength to o’ercome,
More freedom from earth-stains, More longing for home.
More fit for the kingdom, More used would I be,
More blessed and holy— More, Saviour, like thee.

Come, my Saviour, and help me,
Comfort, strengthen and keep me;
Thou each moment wilt save me,
Thou art saving me now. Amen

The Common Cold & Flu.

The common cold and the flu are often spoken about as though they are the same thing, but your body knows the difference.

Both are respiratory illnesses caused by viruses, yet they arrive with different intensities and demand different levels of care.

A cold usually creeps in gently. You might notice a runny nose, mild cough, or a slight sore throat. It’s inconvenient, but often manageable. You can still go about your day, but just a little slower.

The flu, on the other hand, doesn’t knock; it barges in. Fever, body aches, chills, deep fatigue, and headaches can leave you feeling as if your strength has been drained overnight. It’s more intense, and for some people, it can lead to serious complications.

WHAT TO DO;
Rest is your best medicine. Stay hydrated with water, tea, or soups.

Ask your pharmacist or physician for appropriate medication. Stay Protected.

Wash your hands often, avoid close contact with sick people, and support your immune system with good nutrition and sleep.

Listen to your body; slow down when it asks. Healing starts there.

4 Must-Have Skills For Young Professionals in 2026.

In 2026, it’s no longer about having a degree or showing up on time.

What sets professionals apart is how they think, adapt, and communicate in a digital-first world.

Here are 5 skills that are quietly becoming non-negotiable:

1. AI Literacy
AI is no longer “the future”, it is the workplace assistant sitting beside you. Knowing how to use tools like ChatGPT and other AI systems effectively will save time, improve output, and increase your value. It is not about replacing your thinking; it is about enhancing it.

2. Digital Communication Mastery
Emails, Slack messages, reports, Zoom calls, and communication is now mostly digital. Being clear, concise, and intentional in how you write and speak online can define how people perceive your professionalism. This is also a part of your personal brand.

3. Data Literacy
You don’t need to be a data scientist, but you do need to understand data; What is it saying? What story is it telling? What decision should follow? Professionals who can interpret data will always be ahead of those who just execute blindly.

4. Adaptive problem solving
There is no longer one fixed way to do things. Problems change shape quickly, and so must your thinking. The best professionals are not the ones with all the answers, but the ones who adjust fastest when the situation/landscape/context changes.

Heavenly Father, as I step into this week,

I ask for the grace to be resolute in every decision, whether small or significant.

Grant me the clarity to see Your path and the courage to walk in it.

Strengthen my inner man:
* When I am tempted to compromise, remind me of Your truth.
* When the world calls for conformity, empower me to stand for what is right.
* When I face pressure to choose the easy way over the narrow way, be my steadying hand.

Give me a heart that does not waver and a spirit that does not shrink back.

In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

When a LION is Your Guard...

The lion—strong, bold, and fearless—is known as the king of the jungle. Its presence alone is enough to keep other predators far from its territory and cubs.

Many homes display signs like “Beware of Dog” to scare off intruders. Now imagine a sign that reads, “Beware of Lion.” That house would be nearly untouchable!

In Scripture, Jesus is called “The Lion of the Tribe of Judah” (Hosea 5:14). His majesty, might, and authority are unmatched. When Jesus guards your life and home, no spiritual predator—be it sickness, demonic attack, or danger—dares to come near.

This is the confidence we carry as believers who walk in obedience to God. With Jesus as your Lion and Guard, you are divinely protected. I have GOD-FIDENCE!

Is the Lion of Judah watching over your life today?

THE SEEMINGLY WRONG TURN

Caroline had everything mapped out. She was set. 20-year plan ready.

Graduated at 21, internship at a top tech firm. Land a full-time role by 22. Relocate by 24.

Well, life did its thing. It kept redrawing the map.

She graduated late. The tech job didn’t come. She sent out 73 applications in three months. Rejections poured in like rain. Some didn’t even reply.

One evening, a family friend called:

“My NGO needs someone to teach digital literacy in rural schools. It’s not much, but you’re good with kids.”

She wanted to scream. This wasn’t the plan. She hadn’t struggled through school just to end up teaching children how to open Excel.

However, her choices were limited, and her savings were drying up. So, she said yes.

Three months in, she realised something: she actually liked it. The kids were sharp. Curious. Full of ideas. And they needed someone to believe in them.

She began building a curriculum from scratch. Documented their progress and shared it online. One of her videos went viral. Then another. Within a year, she got invited to speak at a global youth summit.

That tech firm? They emailed her.

By then? Her dreams had grown bigger than their cubicle.

Young Professional, obedience sometimes is not about standing still; it’s about walking in the “wrong” direction long enough to find the right one.

Faith looks foolish until the full picture comes into view.

May my path shine brighter

May my days be full of joy

May my strength be continually renewed

May I find peace in the midst of the chaos

May the works of my hand prosper.

May my smile be broad and genuine

May my purse continue to flourish

May my soul be continually refreshed.

Welcome to May, our month of Ever-Increasing Glory!

"...But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." — 2 Corinthians 3:18

Heavenly Father, as I step into this new month

Just as You commanded the light to shine out of darkness, let the veil be lifted from my heart and mind today!

I come before You with an unveiled face, casting aside every weight, every distraction, and every shadow of my past, ideologies and trauma that would hide Your presence.

As I gaze upon Your beauty and Your Word, let Your Spirit perform a divine work within me.

Shatter the mirror of my own limitations and insecurities. Let me see Your reflection in my soul, conform me daily into the likeness of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

By Your Spirit, lead me from glory to glory. Release a season of supernatural renewal where my character, my thoughts, and my actions radiate Your holiness. Let the world see Your light through me.

Empower me to walk in this new identity with boldness, carrying the fragrance of Your glory into every room I enter.

May my life be a mirror that reflects Your love, Your power, and Your truth to a world in need!

In the mighty, transforming name of Jesus, Amen.

NO COMPROMISE, NO MATTER WHAT!!!

Rent was due, and guess what? Timi was broke.

His younger sister’s school fees were hanging over his head. He’d just lost a freelance gig and couldn’t even afford his usual daily transport.

Then came the offer from a friend-of-a-friend. “One job. Easy money. No questions.”

It was shady, but it was clean enough to look legal. Timi didn’t even ask for full details. He just needed the money. Badly.

That night, as he tried to sleep, his chest tightened. His mind was loud:

“This isn’t who you are.” “God sees.” “Obedience isn’t for when it’s easy.”

He stayed up until dawn. Then he sent a message: “I can’t do this. I’m sorry.”

The reply? Silence. Then, eventually, mockery. Even his closest friends said he was foolish.

Two weeks later, everyone involved in that “easy money” gig got caught. The headlines were brutal.

Timi? He got a call from an old client who needed urgent help with a project, a project that paid him double what the other deal offered.

He still didn’t have everything figured out, but he had peace. And his name wasn’t stained.

Sometimes, faith looks like walking away before things fall apart.

It doesn’t always come with applause, but it’s always worth it.
