LIVE FREE!

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more - John 8:11 (KJV).

That is the focal Scripture of BeHOPEAssured Devotional today.

When Jesus announced in John 10:10b, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly"; He meant every word of it. The challenge many have today is that they receive the life of Jesus but don't actually live it.

When Jesus delivered the woman caught in adultery, our focal Scripture says that He asked her to go in peace and sin no more. In other words, He asked her to go and live her life free of sin and its captivity.

Child of God, Jesus has set you free. He has freed you from all your sins, their guilt and their shame. He has kept you alive to live for Him. No matter what you do, live your life for Him.

Walk with your head held up like the child of the King of kings who killed His only Son to save you. No apologies to the devil and his demonic or human agents. Live free of people's opinions and incessant gossips. Live for Jesus.

Remember, we are commanded to: Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bo***ge (Galatians 5:1).

Declare With Me: I have been freed by Jesus. I will live free for Him. I am free! Amen!

UNEXPECTED VICTORIES

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more - John 8:11 (KJV).

That is the focal Scripture of BeHOPEAssured Devotional today.

It was one of the most difficult situations for anyone to be in. The most zealous protectors of the Law of Moses - the Scribes and the Pharisees, were her captors. Her offence - adultery, was punishable by death.

All the odds were stacked against her until her case was reported to her Maker and Lord - Jesus Christ. Jesus turned the tables in her favour without her putting up any plea or defense. The prey left the scene like the predator. Jesus gave this woman a cheap victory in her most difficult battle.

Friend, hear the word of the Lord unto you today: God is giving you unexpected victories in your most difficult circumstances. He will crush that matter that appears insurmountable to you. You will have the last laugh.

All you need to do is to deliberately take it to God in prayers. Do not be ashamed to tell Him how it is. Accept your faults and repent from them before Him. Trust Him to handle it better than you or anyone else can; then of a cheap unexpected victory.

Remember, But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children (Isaiah 49:25).

Declare With Me: I don't know how, but victory is surely mine. Amen.

QUIT THE CONDEMNATION GAME

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her - John 8:7 (KJV).

That is the focal Scripture of BeHOPEAssured Devotional today.

The men armed with stones to kill the woman caught in adultery were already condemned by God because of their sins yet they were passionately rushing to kill an offender of the Law of Moses.

Jesus commanded us in Matthew 7:1 saying; "Judge not, that ye be not judged". Friend, are you like these Scribes and Pharisees who had done worse things against God and His instructions yet are armed with the stones of condemnation against people that have somehow erred or offended?

Unforgiveness and condemnation have become the bane of today's church. Child of God, strive not be among the forgiven who refuse to forgive others for same offenses they were forgiven. It is a risk to be condemning someone Jesus is redeeming.

Please, drop your stones. You too have sinned before now. You are not more righteous than Jesus, by whose righteousness you got saved. God hasn't made you the judge. Instead, ask Him to flood your heart with His love and let Him be the Judge.

Let Us Pray: Father in the name of Jesus Christ, may I not be condemning who you are redeeming. Amen!

YOU ARE NOT CONDEMNED!

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more John 8:11 (KJV).

That is the focal Scripture of BeHOPEAssured Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture is Jesus' response to the woman who was caught in the very act of adultery and brought to Jesus in order to see if He would consent to their stoning her. This woman was already condemned by the law of Moses yet Jesus gave her freedom.

There's something about the love of Jesus Christ that downplays sin and guilt. There's something about Jesus that puts the vengeful human nature to shame.

Friend, you may have done something very bad or even worse than the woman in our focal Scripture. Yes, you have prayed and may have even fasted, asking God for forgiveness; yet the devil still makes you feel condemned by tagging your present challenges punishment for your past sins.

Child of God, listen to the word of God unto you today; You are not condemned by God! Religion, friends, society, people and even parents may have condemned you, but Jesus hasn't and wouldn't condemn you. He hates the sin yet He passionately loves the sinner.

Rise today beyond the voices of judgement and condemnation and embrace the love of Christ. Rise today and receive the peace of God in your heart and , when the blood of Jesus washes away your sins; the stains of shame and guilt lost their power too.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1)

Declare With Me: I'm not condemned. I'm beloved. I have victory. Hallelujah!

KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God - Hebrews 12:2 (KJV).

That is the focal Scripture of BeHOPEAssured Devotional today.

He who's got your focus has got your life. Your eyes (physical or spiritual) are the gateway to your spirit and mind. Even Jesus said that when your eye be single, your body is full of light (Matthew 6:22).

Naturally the legs follow the direction of the eyes. And when our focal Scripture enjoins us to look unto Jesus, that's a great counsel and instruction wrapped in one phrase.

No matter what you are doing or going through, let your eyes be on Jesus. Look unto Jesus! Yes, we might be followers of those who through faith and patience inherited the promises of God; but while we follow them, let our eyes be on Jesus Christ, who is our perfect example.

Quit looking up to man in any form for anything. Man in all his best is still man. Though he is a Man of God, he is still a man before becoming God's hence his perfection will only come from God. The infallibility of man is dependent on God.

If your desire is to finish well, that which you've started; let your eyes be on Jesus for your hope, expectations, desires, as an example, etc. Man cannot finish what He has authored in your life.

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed (Psalms 34:5).

Declare With Me: O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me (Psalms 25:2).

SEE YOUR JOY

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God - Hebrews 12:2 (KJV).

That is the focal Scripture of BeHOPEAssured Devotional today.

Every man runs after their passion. There is this yet-to-be-attained joy, an internal stir that drives every man to stay on their cause even in the face of disappointment, danger or death.

Beyond the cross and the grave, Jesus saw the joy of Himself sitting at the right hand of His Father in heaven. While they were flogging, jeering at and spitting on Him, He was seeing this joy; and it helped Him endure the cross.

Friend, it is one thing for God to set some joy ahead of you; it is totally a different thing for you to see what God has in stock for you. Because David saw himself with God, that's why he said in the 23rd Psalm that he will fear no evil while walking through the valley of the shadow of death.

Child of God, look beyond your present troubles and sorrows and see the joy of your tomorrow; if you can see yourself living in the joy of your answered prayers; then , your current challenges will appear as nothing to you.

Joy is an unconditional therapist. Remember, A merry heart doeth good like a medicine (Proverbs 17:22a). See your joy!

Declare With Me: I choose to see my joy today and everyday of my life. Amen!

GOD WILL SETTLE YOU

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God - Hebrews 12:2 (KJV).

That is the focal Scripture of BeHOPEAssured Devotional today.

There are certain things we go through in life and it appears as if God did forget and abandon us. Have you ever been in such a situation where heaven seems far and people around appear uninterested or inadequate to render any form of help?

That's the state Jesus found Himself while on the cross at Calvary when He cried; "My Father, My Father, why has thou forsaken Me?" God allowed Jesus go through that ordeal after which He SET Him down at His right hand in glory.

Friend, you are not suffering in vain. After suffering, there is settlement. The good news is that your settlement outweighs the weight of the suffering you've been through. God is not wicked; He sometimes allows His children go through uncomfortable moments that shape them and reveal more of Himself to them.

Your present suffering is going to last for just a while. It will not be forever. Remember, 1 Peter 5:10 says; "But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you".

Declare With Me: My sufferings are not in vain. God will settle me! Amen!

FROM SHAME TO GLORY

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God - Hebrews 12:2 (KJV).

That is the focal Scripture of BeHOPEAssured Devotional today.

What Jesus experienced on the cross at Calvary was shameful. But from that cross, His next place of abode was at the right hand of God. Yes, in heaven - He was glorified. Jesus went from shame to glory and has set that pathway for us.

Friend, we have been called unto glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3). We have not been called unto shame. Whatever looks shameful in your life today was not designed to be permanent. It's temporary.

Oftentimes, glory awaits at the other side of shame. God is aware that you don't like that shameful part of your life; if you will just despise it like Jesus did; , He is taking you to your place of glory.

Child of God, remember this: For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory (2 Corinthians 4:17).

Declare With Me: I have an appointment with exceeding weight of glory! Amen!

ENDURE IT FOR YOUR JOY

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God - Hebrews 12:2 (KJV).

That is the focal Scripture of BeHOPEAssured Devotional today.

Our focal Scripture says that the reason behind Jesus' tenacious endurance of all the troubles He went through during His crucifixion was because of the joy He had ahead of Him.

Friend, Robert Schuller said; ". . . tough times don't last but tough people do". Whatever you are going through now has an expiry date. God knows the injustices you are suffering in the hands of the devil and his agents.

Just like Jesus did, endure your present stress and cross. Downplay all those injustices. Sometimes, pursuing your fundamental human rights may lead to forsaking your fundamental spiritual rights. Refuse to give in to quitting because your tomorrow is better than your today. Help is on the way!

God is ready to help you, dear. Remain where He will find you - within the confines of His mercy and grace. There is no need quitting halfway because no one is going to reward you for the other part you endured.

Remember, Galatians 6:9 says; "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not". Reward is for ovwecomers; not escapists.

Declare With Me: I've got my mind made up. I will outlast these tough times. I won't miss my glorious future. Amen.
