Look_Again
So, the human eye is one of the most important parts of the body. And it has the ability to determine how far you go both in life (in destiny) and in your walk with God.
Little wonder Matthew 6:22-23 tells us that the eye is the LAMP OF THE BODY and if your eye be good, your whole body will be full of light, while if your eye be bad, your whole body will be full of darkness, depicting that what we see has the ability to either make or mar us.
Permit me to say then, that how far you are able to see will determine how far you will go. And your ability to see clearly is what will make your sail in life smooth.
At some point in the Bible, even God had to pause and ask some persons what they were seeing to make sure they saw accurately. Examples are Amos (Amos 8:1), Jeremiah (Jeremiah 24:1-3), etc.
Now, the devil, our adversary clearly understands this, which is why he constantly create pictures that will make you begin to doubt what God is saying/doing per time or even discouraged.
You look at your life and all you see is emptiness and hopelessness.
You look at your efforts and see failure or limitations.
You look at the promises God made to you and all you see is delay.
You look at your prayer life and see silence, and discouragement begin to set in little by little.
At that point, the best thing to do is to CLOSE YOUR EYES and LOOK AGAIN.
Yeah, you read well.
Let me explain this with the scenario in John 20.
Closing of your eyes for different people mean different things. But, it is simply the point of removing your gaze from what you are currently seeing. Yeah.
At this point remember, you are free to cry like Mary Magdalene did, after she saw that Jesus' body have been taken away (check vs 11).
But discover that after crying for sometime, she looked again, just to confirm.
