Psalms 63:4
[4]Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

The life of David was one that was full of honor and reverence for the Lord and as believers this set forth a good pattern of worship to follow.

The art of reverence is a vital part of genuine worship and one of the ways to reverence the Lord is to bless him.

From the opening scriptural text we see how David in the wilderness of Judah honored the Lord, he blessed the Lord.The word bless is the Hebrew word Barak , which is an act of worship and adoration. Whenever it is done unto the Lord,it is an act of worship but when done unto believers it is to confer honor on or benefits to the receiver. We bless the Lord in worship and honor others in blessing.

Psalms 34:1
[1]I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth

The most common biblically way to bless the lord is to speak well of him with words of adoration, thanksgiving. To bless the Lord is an expression of our praise unto him by speaking well of him in reverence.

God is worthy of our honor and reverence,and we must come everytime and in every place with words of adoration, reverence and honor to him, he truly deserves all of our honor!

Authority with Love

2 Corinthians 10:8
[8]For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:

A man of authority is a man who has liberty to action and one whose command must be obeyed.

In the opening text Paul the apostle showed us a pattern on how to use authority as men. As a leader of God's people's we must apply great care that we don't abuse the authority given to us in destroying lives rather in the building of men.
The word edification is the greek word oikodome, it is an architectural word which means building, "to build". In the use of our spiritual authority we are to build men and not to destroy men with it.

Matthew 5:44
[44]But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Love is the foundation of the Christian walk and as believers our actions and inaction should be motivated by the love of God if we must be seen helping others in God's way.

We see again in the above scripture how Christ expected us to display love even to our enemies.When our hearts is ruled and controlled by the love of God we will not take pleasure in destroying our enemies but seek for their wellbeing. Greed and selfishness is the major cause why so many abuse the use of spiritual authority.

One way to help us use our authority appropriately is to stay in the place of submission to the higher authority even the authority of Christ, when we learn to stay under his authority,our hearts and actions will always be motivated by the Love of God. We must learn to walk in the Spirit that we don't fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Action
Ask God to teach you how to use authority with love.

Preaching the Gospel

Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

The gospel of Christ is God saving instrument for delivering man from eternal damnation (Sin and it's effects).

The gospel is the good news about a person,the man Christ Jesus. The gospel centers on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

From the opening scripture Paul the apostle in his word said he is not ashamed of the gospel, what does it mean to be ashamed of the gospel? it is to feel shame about thereby leading to reluctance or pull back in making it known to his hearer.

When a man hears the gospel and believes it, eternal life is imparted to him and this life is the Spirit in him. John 7:39

Man's response in faith to the gospel gives him access to the life of God

Romans 10:14
[14]How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

But a man can't believe in the gospel except he hears it, and for him to hear it there must be a preacher. To preach the gospel is to announce it, declaring what Christ did in his death, burial and resurrection. The death of Christ on the cross dealt with the sin problem and his resurrection brought about the impartation of his life to all who respond in faith.

When we preach the gospel we give men the privilege and opportunity of being free from the wrath that is to come. Are you preaching the gospel? God is counting on you.

The forces of prayer

1 Thessalonians 5:17
Pray without ceasing.

Every relationships thrives on effective communication, and for us prayer is a communication that strengthens our fellowship with God and this is one of the greatest privileges we have in Christ.It is not just a routine for us but it builds and strengthens our walk with the father of spirits.

In the opening scriptural text we were admonished by Paul to Pray without ceasing, to pray without ceasing is to pray continually, this gives us a pattern as believers, it ought to be habitual and devotional in pattern in order to get maximum results from it.

Ephesians 1:16-18
Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.

The revelation of the mind of God is one of the privilege benefit of effective praying, through it the graciousness, ability and power of God can be made known. Effective praying reveals the will and the mind of God!

James 5:16
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Effective praying is not a casual thing, it is an instrument for change, power proofs, producing change,which has the ability to turn destinies, nations ,situations and circumstances around in line with the will of God.

Acts 6:4
[4]But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

How then do we pray without ceasing? It is by giving ourselves continually to it. A man that gives himself to prayers ,has time for it, praying is one of his priorities.

The Believer and his mind

Romans 12:2
[2]And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

From the opening text, Paul the apostle in his writings to the church in Rome gave us two patterns by which the mind of anyone can be influenced, either by the WORLD or by the WORD, although in his writings he recommended a kind of transformation by the renewing the mind (through the word).

The mind of a man is the seat of interpretations( knowledge is processed) of every kind of knowledge , every visible transformation begins with the mind,in other words when a man's mind is exposed to the right knowledge and he acts on it, change begins to happen. That said, it implies that the mind is very important for our transformation.

"Conformed to this World" - The world(age - spirit of this age, people)in which we live in has its own pattern of thinking, idealogies, cultures and beliefs system.

1 John 2:16-17
[16]For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
[17]And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

The people of the world is ruled by lust,greed and selfishness and God's desire for us is that we don't pattern our lives by this same beliefs, culture, idealogies and thinking pattern of this world.

" Be ye transformed by the renewing of the mind" - The ability to test( prove ) and do God's Will in this depraved world as believers will be largely dependent on how our mind has been renewed by the word. The fruit of transformation is produced by acting on the word, and it begins firstly with the mind.

Ephesians 1:17 - 18a
[....That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; ...

A renewed mind (enlightened) is a mind transformed by the knowledge of Christ, when a man's mind is imparted by the knowledge of Christ, living for Christ becomes the fruit of his lives - this is the primary goal of discipleship even the the work of ministry (God's will) Ephesians 4:12 - 14.Right choices and decisions in line with God's will are fruits of a renewed mind.

Conclusively, We can say the paramount and most important thing for the believer on the earth 🌎 is the ability to fulfill God's will and agenda and this starts with renewing the mind.

Unmasking deception

Deception and falsehood are the highest selling codes in the world today it is the devil's tool to keep men in captivity.

2 Corinthians 4:4
[4]In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Men that are ruled and controlled by these spirits are workers and align their will through perpetual unbelief with the devil, there are the children of disobedience,men without the spirit, such men are sensual and reprobates of everything called God, there are the unsaved men whom the god of this world had blinded their mind.

2 Timothy 3:1-5
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Another spirit today that has held many in captives is the religious spirit. This is a spirit that hides her operation in religious activities, it is a familiar spirit that seeks and love self and pleasure above God . These men influenced by this spirit never submits their will or heart to the Lord fully but are busy about with religious activities denying the true power of the Holy Spirit, there are idolaters.

Paul the apostle refers to these men as men with a FORM of godliness denying the power. The word Form from the greek text is the word ''Morphosis" which means an appearance or semblance, we can simply say morphosis can be used to describe something that looks like the real but not it. The are men who had never experienced the true power of the Word and the Spirit but pretending to be by their activities.

The covetous and self seeking paradigm is their perpetual state,as matter of fact the underlying motivation for their religious activities is covetousness, this is what hinders them from the knowledge of the true Christ, deceived and with the agenda of deceiving others to please self.
..from such turn away,...the only respond to this category of men is to turn away from them, this is only way to deal with their religious cancerous paradigm from further spreading,if not,when permitted around their activities can mislead the undiscerning and may eventually grief the Spirit of Christ.

Pray in the Holy Ghost !

In Christ alone
Galatians 1:6
[6]I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

The gospel is the revelation of God's love to the World, this revelation centres on the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.Paul in his writing from the opening text rebuking the Galatians church from turning away from the true gospel unto another gospel.Galatian 3.

Luke 24:44
[44]And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

The scriptures from Genesis to malachi centrally focuses on Christ in mystery. All the prophets, Psalms and the writing of Moses focused on Christ. We can say the old testament writing of these men majorly centred on Christ - Christ is the revelation of the Scriptures and the four gospel clearly gave the account of the fulfillment of the scriptures in person, that is in the four gospel the account of Christ birth, ministry,death,burial and resurrection is revealed and fulfilled.

The books of Acts which is the documents concerning the works of the Spirit amongst the disciples clearly revealed a distinct message these men preached, they preached Christ and acted in his stead by the power of the Spirit.(Actually 3:20, 8:5, 9:20,Acts 1:8)

Furthermore, in study you will see the epistles gave a the clear explanations of the mystery( Genesis to Malachi) of the scriptures and in continuum the things concerning Christ written in the four gospel.(1 Cor 15: 1 - 12, 2 Cor 1:19, John 16:13)

To accurately interpret scriptures is to clearly reveal Christ from it ,this is what ministry is all about. it is the revelation of Jesus

1 Timothy 4:14-15
[14]Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
[15]Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

The ministry of laying on of Hands is not a casual exercise because spiritual things are communicated through it , it should be done with intensed prayer afterwards by the receiver.

When a man who is filled with the Spirit lays hands on you, he has imparted you with something spiritual and the receiver should respond by Faith by warring a good warfare by the words which has been spoken.

You pray with these words, mediate on them and constantly behold these words in your minds eye , this is how to get the fullness of what has been imparted to you by the Spirit of God.

Don't be casual about it, war a good warfare by the words that has been spoken over you.

Mark 6:4-5
[4]But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
[5]And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

Moreso, it is important that you have faith in God, that is faith in the words spoken over you and a heart of honor for the vessel that is used by God to communicate these words to you.

Sometimes the solution to that problem may just be received by the laying of Hands.

Never ever treat the ministry of laying on of Hands as a common thing,it is a Sacred thing!

Don't cheat yourself

Yes we all are anointed,but there are some set in the body to help,lead and guide others, these are the ministry gifts. There are gifts to the local assembly and also to the body at large and these men have the function of bringing us into all God has for us.

In receiving from a gift (pastor) largely depends how we follow. The word to follow is to go in the same direction with your man of God - this is not a manipulation but God's divine ordained pattern.
Your following must be done with all of your heart, if you must receive fully from these men, God made it so.

Caleb and Joshua wholly followed the Lord through Moses leadership( Number 32:12), Elisha followed Elijah and received his mantle in double portion (2 Kings 2:9) although in the new covenant we don't receive a portion of any man's anointing but there is such a thing as impartation , Paul instructions was addressed to the churches in various region in writings ( Galatia, Thessalonica, Corinth etc) because he had some authority (Corinthians 11:1), even Jesus admonished his disciples to follow him in order for them to be made fishers of Men.

There are two categories of people in my few years of pastoring I observed, they are those who don't follow their at all and another who follow half heartedly, vitally speaking these two categories of people are in the same ship, some even follow in pretence and even go from behind to follow other men of God even with divergent persuasions confusing themselves ,the reason why so many are lukewarm and don't receive fully all God has for them in their local assembly.

One of the sign of spiritual immaturity is having multiplicity of teachers, this often leave you more confused rather than being built up.

Are you truly serving and following wholeheartedly? Note this, nothing of following comes with convenience ,it comes with a cost.

When you follow God's man even wholeheartedly, God has a way of rewarding you. Be wise!

As I go through this week, I acknowledge that I am a man in Christ.

All the blessings and blessedness in Christ is available to me both in knowledge and experience.I am blessed, full of God's words.

Because I have God's nature , therefore his abilities are my abilities.

I walk in Love and i know how to manifest God's love.

The things of the Spirit are natural to me.
I pray
I preach
I prophesy
I heal the sick

There is no limitation to me both in my mind and my experience.

Glorious things are spoken concerning me, I am the emblem of his Glory.
